Yeah, you're right. I mean I'm writing in Swiss German, so just imagine how many words are spelled wrong but I mean the words are just underlined, that is something I can live with. But the thingy with multiple accounts is a real killer. And it also works like it should.
And stop strangling cats, they are not responsible in any way for that...
msn pro talk does not change your display name and display photo if u sign in other account .
I'm using Slick for ICQ/MSN/Jabber. It's very simple, but i like it

Hi,
A friend with an iphone showed me an application that got me well impressed..
The applications shows several different types of fish swimming in the water..
Taping the screen was like dipping your finger in water and shaking it..... quality sound and picture... this also made the fish scamper...
Is there a similar application for the HTC diamond? i know its totally useless but would be an awesome show-off application..

i'ts actually an X1 home screen not just an app. The fish not only follow your touch on the screen, but also alert to notifications such as missed call's etc (if i remember correctly the fish changes colour to show missed calls / bluetooth on etc - but don't hold me to this)

Of course they can! But they dont have this much time to play with useless applications guaranteed

relax, this is another way to prove that everything that the iP can our wm device can do but there are a lot of things we take for granted and the iP owners can only dream about

Ever tried Yahoo Finances or Google?
Google does it pretty well, but if you prefer using a software (to convert currencies without connecting to Internet each time), MSSConverter can handle it. But it is not finger friendly at all...

Many countries are missing, beside it does't let to change other refernce beside Romenia England and Hungary...
1-Calc has a currency convertor built-in.
NVM...doesn't seem to update.....
Correction again... it does update via wifi
Search for hicalc.v2.5.1.Has everything you can imagine and updates currencies

Yeah I must say coming from the iPhone the facebook app on win mob is terrible! Ok I know its pretty sad saying that but tbh before having my iPhone I didn't use facebook much but because the facebook app on the iPhone was such a pleasure to use I really got in to it... I'm having to use facebook on opera now.
Dump the FB app, it's utterly useless.
Use http://touch.facebook.com instead. Better, faster, and works awesome in Opera.
Thats what I have been using shame there isnt a facebook app that works though..

I'm not hugely into FB but it would of been nice to at least be able to use it as it's a preinstalled app!!
Considering the guy who developed the iphone version of facebook app fell out with apple due to its ridiculous app store approval process, they should get him to make a WM version!

Been using the touch.facebook.com for a few days now and you guys are right so much better then the app for WM... but just wondering if anyone else is having an issue with it being slow to update news feeds? Seems to be way behind at times!
ive had that problemw ith the touch site, but the main diffeerence for me between the iPhone app, is the lack of facebook chat, thats a nice feature!
Thanks for the heads-up regarding touch.facebook - didn't know about that! The winmo facebook ap is not very fully featured at all, which is a shame, because it wouldn't be a difficult application to write. That said, browsing being as good as it is on the HD2, i usually just visit the full facebook site. With pinch zooming i find it a breeze to navigate. Touch is probably a more sensible option though i guess. Just replaced my facebook ap quicklink with the facebook touch bookmark

Yeah, at the bottom is a link to "Mobile Site" which is m.facebook.com I think - that has the news feed issue fixed, but isn't as finger-friendly (it's not bad tho).
Neither of them allow you to view or tag photos very well IMO, a decent FB WinMo app would be very welcome.
apart from the official facebook app are there any alternatives to it because its a bit of a hit and miss for me.

Yeah, the 'official' ones always seem to be a bit picky - apart from the Apple one it seems... I've had comments fail to post using the WM Marketplace version of the MS FB app every time when I use the physical QWERTY keyboard, but hardly ever when usin gthe on-screen one, for example. It never failed to post a status update though, on either kb
if you don't like the Touch site, there's always the half-way version at m.facebook.com.
i'm using babbler atm its amazing and notifies you on anything you want instead of just the handfew offered by the official app. gotta say the one for blackberry was actually on par with iphone i gotta say.
Yeah, I used Babbler for quite a while on my G1 - not got around to installing it on the Desire yet. Best thing was that it notified you whenever someone "liked" your status or photo, which no other app does AFAIK

This **** isnt OK Samsung!
When you use the dialer and hit contacts and then Keypad and then Contacts the screen goes black and redraws and lags like crap.
People use the dialer every time they use the phone and its just BAD.
How on earth do you think you will ever compete with iOS when you have glaring problems with the most basic functions.
The functionality is OK but the implementation is terrible.
If you cant make Touchwiz work then maybe you should just forget it and start over.
Oh and BTW Nature themes suck.

That UI 'lag' or 'black screen' is because when you hit contacts your actually launching a new app (although it doesn't look like you have).
Samsung have just created the dialer app with a direct link to the contact app and vice versa but it is still in two separate apk's
I hate the implementation of the smart dial functionality. HTC Sense has vastly superior implementation. The Samsung version looks like they threw something together in a hurry and didn't finish it off. For a start the dialler only shows one result and there's a considerable delay to pop up the full list. Next there's the fact that there's no space key so I can't type say JspaceS to show John Smith and James Sullivan. Lastly there's the bug whereby if you have a title in the person's name, smart dial only finds the contact if you type the first letters of the title and not the name. If I have a Fr Joe Burns I have to type Fr for the name to show, J and B won't work. I wish Samsung could fix this.

I just installed CM10 Nightly on my wife's SII and it's faster to do both than my SIII. I can see the OP's point, really. Just sayin' that there is some room for optimisation there. No question about it.
Samsung really needs to work on its integration. They have good ideas dont get me wrong.. such as swipe to call on the names. But the way to make it all fit together really sucks
