Sorry for not posting this in Q&A... doesn't show up in Tapatalk.
What would be a fair asking price for an Epic? There is a slight scratch n the screen.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using Tapatalk
Well, if there is nothing else wrong with it I would say ~$200 bucks. I bought a brand new one for $300, a scratch on the screen would definately turn me away from it.

hey to get q and a remove the samsung epic from your favorites and put it back and it should be there.

So I just got back from best buy and I noticed that their nexus s 4g display model had a more silverish, dark grey battery cover. Has anyone else seen this? I know mine is black but I thought it looked pretty cool.

Interesting. But why would Google change the design and not have this all over the news.
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using XDA App
I have no idea. Ill take a picture next time. Maybe tomorrow? But it def. was different.
More silverish and seemed to have a little more texture.
Sent from my Nexus S 4G
Was it a real working model or one of those fake shells?
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using XDA App
It was not a live unit.
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using XDA Premium App
J noticed that too its how the dummy units look
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
Not all of them do. Reason I asked was just to see if anyone has one. Looked pretty sweet and was wandering if that was the only change.
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using XDA Premium App
Maybe the change in color/texture was from people touching it a lot and people's oils and dirt rubbed off the top layer?
Def. not. Ill try to take a picture tomorrow. It is a completely different back cover.
Pretty much the reason I am bringing this up is, because I'm curious to know if maybe this is a newer device/ model. Maybe fixing signal issues? Who knows. It could just be nothing but def. Interesting

I want to get a extended battery but haven't found a protective case anywhere for it. I don't want to get a extended battery if I can't find a extended case for it. Any suggestions anyone?
Sent from my SPH-D700 using xda premium
Usually the case comes with the battery. Probably goes best in accessory section
sent from my touchwiz 4.5-ed epic
The battery comes with an extended door. I've never actually come across cases for phones with extended doors.

I got one from moretalktime.com but i bought it on their ebay store. I don't use the faceplate but the back fits very well

I think it comes with just the door. It doesn't come with a protective case.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using xda premium
There r actually two different items I bought the case on accident thinking it was the one w/ the battery but I use it a lot whenever I do use my extended battery.
edit: I am sorry because i guess they do not make it anymore, but I would email them because they did produce one at one time.

Gonna try out the epic touch battery...was definitely a tight fit in the phone, but it fits!
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA
Awesome, thanks for letting us know. I think you're the first to try one of those

I read some reviews of the battery in Amazon before I ordered it...saw some people mention using it in the epic...just wanted to share the news in case others didn't know.

I've had it for months. You will see the difference. It was stronger for the first week or 2 then lost some of its hold time but blows away my stock epic. I just ordered the anker 1800 from amazon for 11.99. Ill see how that one compares

I was debating the Anker...ended up going Samsung...probably a waste of 9 bucks extra...

I think the OEM might hold it's life longer than Anker, I also have one and I enjoy having the small boost in battery life

This. Lol if it was only $9 more for OEM it was more than worth it.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using xda premium
Clue, how much did you pay for an OEM 1800, if you don't mind me asking?
Sent from my SPH-D700 using xda premium
Paid $21...free shipping. Amazon...

Guess I'm the lucky one. My local Sprint store rep just handed me one and said, "Here ya go! Let me know how it works for ya!"
So far, battery life is MUCH better on CM9/AOKP vs. stock battery.

You can get 2 1800mah batteries on eBay for $12 and free shipping.
Also I've heard talk of a compatible 3500mah battery on Amazon (?). Going to check that out today.

Those are not genuine oem batteries. They are Hong Kong knock offs.

I want to verify that we are talking about using a battery designed for an Epic touch in and Epic slider. I have an SPH D700 that I need the best battery I can find without the backside footprint of the phone changing. Otherwise I wont be able to dock in my car anymore
I use the mp3 feature of my phone, all day, every day (podcasts and audible). Within weeks of a new battery (stock) I barely make it til 2pm before having to charge. If I can't find a battery that can carry the load I'm going to just have two and a drop in charger, switching them out during my usually 10 hour long work days.
Thanks in advance everyone.
Yes the Epic Touch Galaxy S2 1800 mAh battery fits perfectly and gives you 20% more battery life.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using xda premium
so the battery life is better i bought one and had overheating issues and never went back
Has anyone found any flip cases like the ones for the gs3 for this phone?
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using xda premium
does not yet, but I'm also waiting for the case
Not possible as battery/back cover doesn't come off as needed like the GS3.
That actually sold some that just snapped over the back of the s3
