Running hyperdroid 1.7... and i noticed that the buttons only light up, when i use the power on off button eg. pressing red button to unlock phone..
is there a fix for this???
this happend to me as well i just changed to a different build and problem was solved

hi, recently damp got into my xda mini s and disabled all the button, after a while it thought that all the buttons were pressed down, so i tried dryin the device out and it seemed to sort everything out except for the power button, the device thinks that the power button is constantly pressed in so it will either switch the screen off or ask if i want to switch the device off. i was wonderin is there any way that i can completly disable the power button and use another button like the camera button to be the power button instead? many thanks
Suddenly my hardware buttons react strange.
when i press the green button the volume is going down.
and when i press the up button then i get an * sign...
does someone know how i can resolve this????

Hey bit of a problem..
my power button only works intermittently. To turn the device on i need to press another hardware button and THEN the power button. If i just press the power button it wont turn on.
The power button works fine to turn it off.
I cant hard reset for soe reason (gps + ex + reset)..ive tried installing a new ROM but it hasnt fixed the issue.
Any ideas?
It is probably the hardware. any water damage? have you drop it before?

guys... i ran into a problem yday ... was using the TyphooN CyanogenMod 7 v2.5 standard build when it occurred... after setting up the rom, tried the new cam with zoom function for vol keys... cam worked nicely and that was that for the time being... some time later, the home, windows key and backspace key became non-responsive and the vol key behaved as if it was always pressed down.. it wont increase the vol but will only decrease....except for the non-responsive keys, rom was fine...to correct it, i tried everything from rebooting to reloading diff roms... later tried a a wp7 build hoping it would alter the key mapping.. but nothing worked... also, when inside a rom (android or wp7), green button wont wake up the screen...
in magldr menu, there is a slight screen flicker... looks like screen focus is always moving down in a cyclic manner... as if the vol down key is kept pressed... i could hold the vol up key n select menu options with green button but only have to wait for the selection to come to the correct menu option n then quickly select it...
has anyone seen this issue before? any suggestion on how i could recover? is it a hardware error?

Accidentally dropped my nook color and now it's acting weird. When I'm using it the menu that appears on power button press appears and sometime the device will randomly shut off soon after. I think something with the power button broke when the device was dropped. Is there any way to map the power button to one of the volume bottoms and then turn off the original power button?
BTW I'm using cm7 with the latest nightly build.

No, the button is hard wired and not changeable. You might find a way to change for shut down purposes, but not start up.
