Is anyone else having this issue?
This sometime happens after the phone goes into standby. The leds would then magically light up after a couple of tries.
Another issue with our desire HD's or just mine?

Anyone have an issue where the screen blacks out and doesn't wake up when you press any buttons on their touch dual? It happens 4-5 times a week, usually when I haven't used the phone in at least 2-3 hours. To fix it I have to pull the battery. The phone is still on because the led in the speaker mesh is still flashing.
Thoughts?

This happens to mine as well but I just tap the power button and it wakes up.
Anyone experienced the same issue? After using the phone I press the power button but after few secs. the screen goes on again and its annoying.. Especially when I take out my HD from pocket and I see it. It was happening on stock rom now on Duttys. Could it be hardware issue with the button?

Try it without stylus inside. maybe faulty stylus thats what happened to me.
I have exactly the opposite, I switch it on, and a second later it switches off again!!
Faulty stylus? Do you mean that I try using the other one or?
When we´re already talking about the stylus, I noticed that sometimes when I pull it out my HTC doesn´t wake up from standby.. That didn´t happen on my Diamond.
The only solution I found so far is using the device lock after 0min. so I could avoid accident calls in my pocket. But there is the annoying PIN nr. every time... :/
Today I noticed, the device keeps going out of standby cca. every 10-20mins. Bad. The screen turns on and after few secs off..
mine too, every 10/20 mins.
will be some software doin it i think.
I've noticed this happen to my phone a couple times. I'll walk into a dark room and my phone, which I believe is asleep, the button lights will come on but the screen is off. Then the lights will go off. When I press the volume buttons the lights will come on again. The screen stays off the entire time.
Perhaps our battery problems are because the phone is not fully asleep because the light sensors are still active reacting to changes in ambient light even though the screen is off.
Anyone else experience this?
Idk if this is effecting anyone else, but when i go to idle the phone by hitting the power button it seems to lag for a second or so and then turn the screen off. The touch buttons light off and then a second later the screen goes black. Just wondering if this is just my phone or if thats how the phone is.
Hi everyone,
I apologise if this is a double up on a previous answer, however I have not been able to find it on here.
My HTC HD2 has been playing up recently. Issues such as:
Back button changing volume down
No sound when I receive a msg or call
Massively short battery life
and now this screen on/off issue that is bugging me.
They are all intermittant issues, but this last one is rather annoying and i believe is linked to the battery life issue (battery lasting 3 hrs max)
The screen just constantly goes from the password screen to the screen off (standby mode) without any buttons pressed.
I have swapped between windows 6.5 and android, but this hasnt solved this latest issue.
I have added a video of what happens:
Search youtube, "HTC HD2 Screen Flicker On and Standby issue"
In addition to the "flicker" issue, I noticed that if I hold down the Volume Up button it stops the on off problem, but I need to keep it pushed down.
I thought it might have something to do with the light sensor, but I disabled the Auto brightness function and this didnt seem to help
Can someone help me please.
