I have noticed that my LED flashes on SMS; GMail but not my email account - it has done it once but normally not.
Notifications are set to flash LED.
Anyone else with this or a solution?
Thanks.

Hi all, copy and paste from Amon_RA's thread which I've posted in also. I'm running Amon_RA's 1.6.1 ROM and am wondering if the following happens to you as well? If it does, what ROM are you running? Is it donut-based? Thank you.
Some bugs/features in 1.6.1? I'm not too sure if it's intended to function this way in Donut, hence the bug/feature portion. I'm experiencing the following problem on 1.6.1, with email notification and vibration turned on:
Assuming I do not have any email notifications currently, and I have zero unread mail in my email. When I receive a new email (be it for one or two email at a time), my phone will vibrate and have the notification, as expected.
However, this is where things get different. If I were to ignore the notification (let it remain there) or clear the notification WITHOUT tapping on it and going into Gmail, any subsequent emails I receive will only result in having the LED blinking, and the number of unread count in the notifications bar will increase. The phone does not vibrate, neither does it ring.
If I were to tap on the notification and enter Gmail, then my phone will vibrate and notify me again. This happens regardless of whether I read the unread emails in Gmail, or let them remain unread.

Anyone?
Yup, I concur.
I just tested this. Received an email, cleared the notification. Then sent another email to myself from browser. My phone didn't vibrate and notify me, except with the green LED.
Cleared the notification by opening Gmail.
Then i re-sent the same email, notification & vibration is back again.
Wondered what's wrong, i've got a feeling that the flag is set wrongly too.
Ive posted this to Google already but have yet to receive a reply..
Anyone got an idea why eMail LED-Notification just doesn't work on the HD2 (also with the according tweaks installed / registry entries modified)? I know this is a general problem, no one's LED notification works for a received eMail-message.
any help would be appreciated!
has anyone tried LED Notification for eMails on a custom rom already?
Same problem, but i use a Hotmail account which can't be set by default. I think that's why the LED doesn't flash.
I'm running CM7 #37 and cannot figure out how to turn off blinking LED notification for the email app (not gmail). I have an exchange email setup and it always blinks on new notifications, but I want to turn that off. All other LED notifications are already off. Please advise. Thank you.
well if it hasnt changed from the cm7 RC it goes
settings>CM settings>Interface>LED Notifications
from there u will choose whatever is listed under applications...for example mine is Miscellaneous and then if i select that it lists all my apps that have an led notification that can be applied to it...just select email and turn it off
Anyone else experiencing this? I have work Exchange account set-up through the stock E-Mail app. I have the notification box not checked at all in both my account settings as well as the priority sender options.
Yet every time I get an e-mail, I get a notification, the LED light, and a beep.
Any ideas?
Is possible to disable the Gmail green led notification but still get the icon in the status bar for new emails?

Have you tried unchecking the "Missed LG Emails" option under Notification LED.
I'm not sure about that but I use light flow and thats how I disable the led for different gmail accounts and still get the icon in status bar.
I have that unchecked and still get the green led flash for new Gmail messages. I have used light flow in the past and liked it. I tried it on this phone and it didnt seem to work properly. I had the led disabled for Gmail in light flow settings but it still flashed. I suppose because notifications were turned on in the Gmail app itself.
The other strange thing with light flow on this phone... In settings, I have notifications in order of whats being used first. Even though I have them both turned off, google now and gmail were at the top, indicating that they were on.

For gmail setting, same thing happened to me but then I digged deeper and I think inside the gmail notification settings in light flow for that specific account there was an "inbox" option I entered and disabled it there. I also have "Missed LG emails" off.
