[Q] Need help with co0kies Home tab - Windows Mobile Development and Hacking General

Hey all. I am using a HTC HD2 (USA T-MOBILE) phone.
I am using the co0kies home tab v2.0.0 Public beta.
I installed the CHTEditor v2.0.0.0
OS version is 5.2.21913
Manila version is 2.5.20181424.0
ROM version is 3.14.531.1
ROM Date is 9/29/10
My question is how can I change the bottom of my phone where the Lock out button is, the home tab button, the phone icon, the internet icon, and the scroller is to scroll through the tabs of the phone. (home, music, gallery etc.) I've seen some threads created where people are showing off their phone and on the bottom screen it looks very clean. Some of them have like two buttons. I've tried searching in the co0kies editor/tab, but I can't seem to find how to edit the bottom part.

Hi,
open CHT editor, tap on "Softkey".
There are five key assignments you can select or hide. Or you can choose 3 customs softkeys customizable with your preferred applications

volume control via hardware left side control

hi, I've just purchased a HD2 and I'm new to WM.
After installing some tweaks, I discovered that when i tune the volume using the button on the side of the phone, instead of showing the original volume level in a black screen, now it shows a small window on the top right corner.
How can I get back the original black volume control screen ?
i'm on Manila ver 2.5.19211619 and ROM 1.66 with 6.5.2 OS.
thanks
SN
Have u installed any taskbar modification?
i installed the following :
- cookie's home tab
- flashlight
- CHTEditor
-.Net CF3.5
-bluetooth toggle
- close album with X
- disable accidental link
- lonngpress send key
- faster manila tweaks
- opera 6 tabs
-reset and wifi
- speed up screen scrolling
-start menu icons and BG transparent
will any of the above cos the change ?
Thanks
Its definetely not cookies home tab, flashlight and probably not Net cf3,5, your best bet is to uninstall app one by one and soft reset after each to find out which one could be the culprit.
Thanks.
it's the last one that removed the original volume control.
i now have a new 'problem' - i could not remove the icon completely. Tried removing and the msg is that there are icons that are not removed completely and asked whether i want to tremove them, i confirmed 'Yes' but that prog will still appear in the list of installed prog. Tried a few times and it is the same.
Now the silent/ringer mode icon is mission from the task bar.
Looks like I will for other icons or reinstall the task bar icons and make do with the 'not so nice' volume control.
Thanks again
Sktools is great in uninstalling things, u can try it.

You were answered in another thread. That is why I closed the last one. Maybe you didnt see it so I will tell you the same thing. You need Cookies home tab editor from HERE And sense it told you what you needed if you had done a search like the rules state before opening 2 threads and posting in cookies home tab thread (where you were answered) you would have found the same thing that 2 of us have linked for you already

O2 UK ROM Updated from 1.43 to 1.72.

Hi all,
I just updated the stock 1.43 ROM to the 1.72 stock ROM via the HTC website. I don't appear to have any major issues with the flash (yet).
I'm just in the process of re-installing all my stuff. However, I can't get my home screen back to how it was, which I liked. Before the update I had 2 visible rows of 4x4 program icons, I can now only get 1 row to be visible. Also I had a notification bar that informed me if I had any missed calls, texts or e-mails. I can't get this back on either.
I'm sure I set the above up using CHT Editor which I've re-installed along with Cookies Home Tab & BSB Tweaks. But I can't find the setting to give me back the 2 visible rows of icons and the notification bar.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thx.
from home screen
menu - edit home layout - (select the 'main home' if you have cookies 1.8) - advanced - find 'show quicklinks' and change the dropdown beneath to '2 rows'

4 colums Start menu and programs tab for Sense 2.5?

Recently flashed Verizon's stock MR2 ROM with WinMo 6.5 and HTC Sense 2.5 (Manila 2.5.20132227.0). Its growing on me. Definately snappy compared to 2.1, but after a couple days I'm still looking for answers to the following:
-Slide to Unlock: ...every time the screen turns off it locks... is that necessary? Any settings or .cabs that'll give me a little more control of when it locks?
-Start Menu: Where can I get a 4-colum programs .cab for the displayed Start Menu programs... OR have the start menu display the standart WinMo 6.5 start menu. The .cabs I had for 2.1 don't seem to work.
-Programs tab: Where can I find a .cab to add a "Programs" tab back into the slider icons? The one I had for 2.1 (again) doesn't work. Also changing the registry entry in HKCU\Software\HTC\Manila doesn't work, either ("programs tab is hidden" from 1 to 0).
Any help would be appreciated.
yes you can change your lock screen settings...
It'll be somewhere in your settings... I cant tell you where as I myself never use it. I went into mine and saw in settings\system there was something called lock config so I'm sure your set up would have something like that.
the start menu... well in 6.5 they have the honeycomb menu. I think I read back a long while ago about a way to make it go old school I just havnt seen in it a long while... same with the programs tab. They took that out of 2.5
my advice... go to this thread and read about the add on and then add it. It adds SO much funtionality to sense it just makes the standard one look stupid
[Manila Mod][19-Jun-2010] Co0kie's Home Tab v1.8.5
then you'll need this to do the changes
[APP] CHTEditor v1.8.5.1 [UPDATE 19-JUN-2010]
note the screen shots in the links. You can have any number of layouts and "pages" that swipe up and down for different short cuts right on your home screen. Different clocks, notification bars etc etc.
Options for Start Menu Replacement WM 6.5
-Lock Screen: You should be able to locate lock config under Settings or Settings--->System (However, if you decide to use the aforementioned Cookie Home Tab Mod, the lock config is modified using Cookie Home Tab Editor under the Lock Screen menu.
-Start Menu: Try (utak3r's modified Quickmenu and Joe Wilcox's Awesome Start (not free but you may like to try these start menu replacements: Hilauncher and Panoramic Launchpad)
-Programs Tab: Check out this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=619253 and you will see that Cookies Home Tab is probably the way to go...
