WM6 on Gigabyte g-smart i?

Does anyone has any ideea if there is an Windows Mobile 6 ROM for Gigabyte g-smart i ?
I mean the normal one not the 128.

(has a slider keyboard), so I'm interested as well...
Your g-smart i is identical I think (64mb rom & ram), right?

well, a chinese unofficial WM6 (for gsmart i64) has been tested on gsmart and it works !!
the problem is screen orientation and buttons..
hope someone fixes this issue!!

Yes, go to that URL abova and you'll find WM6.1 ROM (English) for Gigabyte i128 & i120. I've upgraded mine succesfully.

Azerty qwerty keyboard problem

hello. iam a owner of one htc touch dual.
this htc dual was bought from SFR (France) and have an azery keyboard.
I changed ROM to a Portuguese ROM, but now they keyboard doesnt match the outupt key in screen...
what can i do to fix the problem, i.e., i want to use that Portuguese ROM in a HTC azerty, but with perfect match between keyboard and output in screen.

You need original france keyboard mapping files, you extract it from original rom
"HTC Rom image editor" by AnDim will help you, it's user friendly tool for rom editing

Let me see if i understood: i instal a french rom and the i extract some mapping files and then i instal again a portuguese rom with those mapping files? Is this what you were trying to tell me?
Isnt there any patch to turn (or to add AZERTY capabilities to an QWERTY rom ?)

Here is steps:
1)Download you original french rom
2)Download HTC Rom Image Editor
3)Open you original rom with HTC rom image editor
4)Extract keymaping files
5)Put it in you portugese rom
Here's attachment for example, it contains keymapping files for niki-16-Eng.

All rom files located in IMFS, they look's like files i have attached

Hi I downloaded the latest HTC ROM for HTC Touch Viva Opal, this ROM is the original released by HTC, in this page are published the ROM
Release date: 2009-08-31
This ROM was released by HTC to Orange (Spain), and the download is only available to compatible serial numbers.
This is the link to download the file, this is the HTC original file, if you install the ROM the boot screen have the Orange logo.
You can use this one, I modified the ROM to use the original boot loader, thanks to jagan2
My phone don't have a compatible serial but I can install it, here is some screenshots

La ROM es ofrecida originalmente por HTC, fue lanzada para usuarios de Orange en España, pero puede ser instalada, mi equipo no es de España sino de Asia, la instalé y me está funcionando de maravilla.
Puedes bajar el archivo original que en el boot (al iniciar) trae el logo de Orange, o también puedes emplear el archivo modificado por mi que tienen el boot original (gracias a jagan2)

Hi, no this release was released by HTC only to Orange Spain users, the ROM is only available in Spanish but exist another ROMS in English originals made by HTC, bye

wow!! muy rapida!!!
para mi es la mejor rom para viva en wm 6.1 desde la original anterior.
mas rapida que su antecesora y puedes navegar la carpeta de windows si que se demore horas en mostrar los archivos, comparado con las demas roms que despues ke instalas programas tarda mucho en visualizar archivos cada vez que entras a la carpeta windows.
el manilla se mueve muy fluido y no se traba a cada rato como otras roms.
muy recomendable!!

Yes, off course, and this ROM have the HTC keyboard and you can set the keyboard lang to english.
And you can install applications in any language, is not problem for windows mobile!!!

this is the fastest ROM released by htc for opal.
i have just tested this ROM, its great. no delay in opening windows folder unlike in other ROM.
- the only prob is the language. ii have used this ROM for a day, its awesome.
is it possible to build the English version of this ROM taking this ROM build as a base ROM?

Okay, i myself didnt liked that orange logo.
Here is the solution for all those who want to upgrade but dont want that orage logo
Requirements :
1. Htc rom image editor
2. Any earlier stock rom (optional)
Ok first open the new rom (which has orage logo) in the htc rom image editor then you will see a option in left side called splash ---- now simply delete this. Thats all then flash it again you will not have that orage logo.
But if you delete it .... there will be blank screen which will not look good
So do one thing open any previous version stock rom less than this 1.57.75.3 and then select splash in it and save it in desktop (for saving there is an option)
Then once again open rom 1.57.75.3 then select splash and delete it then replace it by the splash saved in desktop of previous rom.
Hmm it was bit confusing?
If you are not able to do that ... tell me? There are much easier method also i think but still who want to do like this can do...

Yes you can have this rom in english although by justing using its sys and xip and using oem english one would not give you a english rom .... search for the wm 6.1 build (build = which is present in this rom) and cook thats it
Edit: Oups forgot to mention that yes it has radio and spl. Although if you have installed hardspl on your device and then you flash this rom simply spl would not be updated.

For the radio to flash use the custom ruu, it was made by udk.. search for it you will find and also one that i dont know if alex gave you but here is a noobs guide

Segue os links que te deixaram nos outros post...instala primeiro o hard spl para poderes instalar ROM´s modificadas.
Tens de ter em atencao a versao de radio que tens,certas Roms so funcionam com uma versao especifica de radio,se nao for a versao certa podes ter problemas na instalaçao da ROM,camara fotos,fazer/receber chamadas etc.
Existem ROM´s em portugues mas sao todas um bocado antigas mas nao deixam de ser boas ROM´s se achas mesmo necessario força.
Para te ajudar a procurar tudo o que precisas tens sempre o "search" na barra de opçoes no topo da pagina usa e abusa dele.

well if its only settings that you changed which ones exactly? and go get mymoblier then you can control it from your pc, problem solved there.
Also if that doesnt work then hard reset and it will be fine.

I got it in Advanced Settings, I was in the section and it changed the value as it was custom for Hard pression in the finger or something and another that just below,
If I redo the process only update the rom, with this same rom, everything will be back to normal?
or if it works I'll try to change the pc, did not know whether this option

you can either:
1st Go to advance settings again using the d-pad and reset to value.2nd go to normal settings press clear storage and type "1234" as instructed
Podes ir ao advanced settings com D-pad (a roda com o botao do meio) e voltas a meter o valor original ou entao vais start>settings>system>clear storage e escreves "1234" que ele reiniciat o pda com a mesma rom.
Nao precisas de voltar a instalar o hardSPL so se instala uma vez e se fores instalar a mesma rom nao precisas de mudar o radio.
