I wish to align the screen on my mini but read that it can mess up the because its a capacitive screen. Does doing a Hard reset give you the option to align the screen?
Thanks for any reply.
no it doesnt..and anyway u dont need to..mini has no stylus..all u can do is to calibrate the screen
screen alignment
You could try: see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=755233
but I was not succesfull to get through the aligment procedure and had to do a soft reset to get out of it.
You can use this link

There is a shortcut, but screen alignment doesn’t working because HD mini doesn’t work with stylus (capacitive screen)
Anyway you can try if u want.
Also this shortcut gaves you the option to enable cleartype.
I suggest to Enable it for better font’s appearance

I did that but it is still not disable the short cut in my device.
Any more help?
Last time I checked I think it was Message button and action button. I dotn think this is something u can change. It is a hardware safety feature in case someone where to totally screw up ur alignment, you wont have to hard reset to get it working again.
Cause once the screen alignment is messed up there is no way to get to the alignment app. (without that hardware shortcut)

P.S. Someone asked about this before, I cant remember what the final verdicted was thoe, search the board.
Thank but Can I change the short cut to somethings else?
Also What is the name of old topic so I can search (I did before making this post but could not fin it)
Thank you guy very much for great help!!!
Any help would be nice. Thanks in advance.
I installed the "Soft Key" application a while ago, and while installed it seamed buggy. So i un-installed the program, and after that my bottom soft keys wouldn't even work. I can tap on the screen above the soft keys and it will take me to the: Contact / Calendar but when i try to use the soft keys, they just wouldn't work. I was hopping that maby y could reset some registry values to bring it back to default settings.
Also, i "CAN" use the soft keys when I'm not at the Today Screen. Problem is just trying to get back the functionality for the soft keys at the Today screen.
Thanks again
If I want to change the orientation the screen I tap on the orientation button and the screen became landscape but when I extract the keyboard the screen return portrait... so I want that when I replaice the keyboard the screen come back to landscape... is it possible???
ok... no solution...
Why not press the orientation button while the keypad is still out?
because I don't want to tap the orientation everytime...
set a hw button to rotate the screen, works fine with pcmkeyboard

The device was designed to work on portrait.. so it will insist on going portrait.
You may ask vjay555 on this forum to write you a simple program that will force your device to stay on landscape. A very good developer.. he makes simple tools like that. He's a mod here.
File name for Execute Rotate Screen ???
Ussually I use from HTC Home, but I will assign at Left Softkey with program that can rotate the screen. I don't know the file name??? Is It in Windows Directory???
Thanks for sharing
How to increase the sensitivity of the X1? I've press twice or so hard for action. It's somewhere in the regedit but can't remember the exact steps. Pls go through that..
Thnx in adv
You can also change the sensitivity when you align the screen in 'settings'. Press the 5 posititions very lightly and hold them until they move.

Does it work? Coz it seems not making sense so much, the setting is just for alignment instead of sensitivity.
Hi all, uhm I'm having a little problem with my X1.
I can't assign any buttons anymore in settings -> Buttons
I can actually ASSIGN the left key or right key, but it will reset back to old settings when I do that. Now I have assigned:
Left key: turn screen
right key: today screen
And I also now see 4 options named ''knop'' (Buttons), but I think they didn't used to be there in the first place.
Anyway, whenever I change the right or left key (mostly the right key because I'm very happy with the turn screen assigning) to another option. And press 'ok', the button will(!) get that new option. But whenever I restart the device (or I guess even when time will last) the right button will reset to the 'today-screen' setting.
I don't know how all this could have happen, but I think I installed something wrong. I did install TF3D hd (manilla) as a panel. And after that more programs, I guess somewhere in that time this button assignment setting got cracked up :S
Is there anyway to get rid of the 4 ''knoppen'' (buttons) and be able to change the left and right key properly again?
Regards and many thanks to the one(s) being able to help me!
It's the Touch Flo software which restores the softkeys, a search would have solved this for you.
Thanks for your reply.
So you're saying that if I uninstall Touchflo3D from my X1, I will get my normal settings back without difficulties?
