HTC Elf Portuguese - Windows Live Messenger

Hi
I hope you can help me with this.
I have a HTC Elf P3450 with WM6.1
When I connect to Windows Live Messengers, my contacts are all offline.
I know there's a fix for English version, but what can I do with this Portuguese version?
