I am creating a layout with SweeterHome to look and act like Windows XP so I need to find out where the notification bar is in the system files so I can change it.
Does anyone know where the files are located?
also asking this myself... already tried scanning still I didn't find it.

I personal use this cab for the top bar. May be what your looking for
It would help to see what you are trying to recover.
But, here is a possible suggestion that might fit: FInixNOverBattery http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...ght=finixnover
Thanks for the response guys,
will try and post some pics up when i get home from work. Not feasible for me to do so just now.
In particular what i am after are the topbar icons relating to volume, signal strentgh, battery level, multiple notifcation icon, headphones connected icon etc.
Need the manila files for those specific icons ideally. I suppose i could be cheeky and approach pzucchel directly to see if he could give me the info.

Hi Guys I like to Change the Icons and I like to change the Original WM icons for some custom made can some one point me to the correct steps.
Thanks
As above really -
Got a ton of icons on my storage card, but I have no idea how I can change the icons I'm currently using to the ones on the storage card. Or is it a lot more difficult than it sounds?

It IS possible, but I'll let one of the more experienced people here tell you exactly how (I'm not well-versed on the process.....yet).
But, in the meantime, would you be willing to zip up your icon collection and sharing it? I'm always looking for new icons to use...I can already replace them on the slider bar, next thing to learn is the program ones
Icons for Windows Mobile phone
Of course! I can't remember where I got them all - so I'm hoping the creators are happy for me to share them out.
536 icons in total (although there are a few duplicates - I mean 2 different icons for the same program).
Enjoy!
The question of how easy it is depends on which OS you're running... if it's 6.5 I recommend using JWMD's Icon Changer, but many recommend Showaco's reSTART. The 'how to' instructions for each app can be found in that thread I just linked.
If it's 6.1 it's more cumbersome as you have to edit the link. I don't bother with it and instead customize whatever shell I'm using at the time.
You're welcome to grab any of my folder icons listed in my sig
Thanks for the links!
Do these same programs change the icons on the home tab? I like the icons in my start menu, but the icons on the home tab are different for the same programs.
So what is the process for getting custom icons onto the tablet and having them properly associated with their respective apps?
Say, I have a new Browser icon I want to use... what's the next step?
Can 'o' worms question, I know...
Personally I use folder organizer (from the market). It allows you to change an icon for a particular app or create a folder with several app in it. For example, a games folder with the icon of your choice will open a folder with whatever games you put in it (and can customize those icons as well)
Hope that helps.
Thanks Steve, I'll take a look at that now.
EDIT***
Okay, sorta works but a little too convoluted... You have to change each icon individually then add each app you've changed as a widget. I'm looking to do something more in the way of an icon pack that will swap out all the icons at once (of the ones I've made and apps supported).
I use Desktop Visualizer; however, this is also a 'one at a time' process.
I am not familiar with a process to change the icons 'en mass'.
This is a great thread for icon packs and there's some basic information on changing icons in the first post. It's possible though, that one of the icon developers listed in the thread will be able to answer your question.
Thanks for the info Franwella
I'll make my morning reading.
I know the icon layout for the status bar is in the status bar layout xml file within systemui.apk, but I'm not sure where to relocate the icon codes. I want to move the wifi and data signal over to the left side of the status bar instead of everything cluttered on the right side.
Is there a tutorial floating around anywhere that's specific to the nexus 4 or does anyone have any experience in those xml files? I just need to know where to put which code, the rest I can do. I found a tutorial but it's the Sony Xperia forum and I'm not sure if I'd be able to use that.
Hello,
I've been searching for a while but I couldn't find sufficient answers on how to do this.
Is there a tutorial to manually make and set tile icons for any program/app that fill up the tiles as a whole just like Store app icons, without using any editing software?
The reason I want to do this manually is because the apps in the Windows Store that can edit these icons have to pop up every time I start the program that I have edited its icon with the editing app. This seems to be something that can't be disabled in Windows 10
Oblytile seemed to be a good editing app that doesn't pop up every time you start up the program you've edited its icon of, but unfortunately it's not compatible with Windows 10 anymore.
Also, if there is an editing app that doesn't pop up, I'd really like it to be able to also make wide tiles (not just small or medium squared tiles) since some editing apps don't support that.
Looking forward to answers on this.

Yes, just look for "Customize Tiles on Windows 10 Start Menu" on youtube or something like that.
Something that bothers me is that icons also change on the taskbar, when the program is running, which is something I want to avoid, and I don't know how to keep the original icon on the taskbar.

Thanks for the reply. The problem is, I can't find any way to make wide tiles manually. I think this would need an app but the problem is that apps usually always pop up for a very brief moment when you open the concerning app for which you've made a customized wide tile.
