Hi Guys,
Does anyone know where I am able to buy a Dell Streak, eBay aside? I want to buy the AT&T version for use with the 850MHz Telstra Next G Network.
I know they can be purchased directly through Dell but I'm from Australia and they won't post to me because the Optus network has an exclusivity deal here.
Thanks,
Krisbo
Best Buy started selling the streak today.

That's all well and good, but they don't ship to Australia...
I would say either eBay or use a courier forwarding service. One thing you may already be aware of is ATT has been very lenient in unlocking their off contract phones, just say you live in Canada and they will unlock it in five minutes from what I have heard.

I went at a Bell store, and they told me that I need a plan with Bell if I want to buy a Vibrant (without contract). So now I have to ask some1 who's already with Bell, to go in the store and buy my cellphone? Is there any other ways?
Thanks
Well, you have to pay a monthly fee even if you buy phone without contact.
I bought my Bell phone to futureshop (Canada/Quebec) and i told them that i wanted to activate my phone to another network (Telebec) cause Bell had no coverage in my area. Telebec is bell affiliate so there is no problem. This could be a way to buy the phone then go out without any plan. You could even activate with prepaid card (no internet thought) but i doubt any rep will do that as its not legal.

Not sure about Canada but I know here in the US you can go into any phone store and buy a phone without contract.
I would recommend checking to see what your local laws are regarding this.

Two years ago I walked into Walmart, paid full price for a new G1 and walked out 5 minutes later with no contract and no plan. Obviously you will need a plan to use the phone, but if you buy a phone at full price, without contract, than you do not need to buy a plan at that time.
I got mine at Pacific Mall.. i'm still on contract with Rogers and I might go into Wind mobile soon.. cuz this baby can do AWS as well
$560 tho... i know yikes!!!! so far only one store in Pacific had it ... the store was called

no its the T-Mobile Vibrant.. has the branding on the top
hehe i'll post a pic if you want
so whatever frequency the regular T-Mobile Vibrant supports.. this is the exact same one..
i got it just incase i feel like moving to Mobilicity or Wind Mobile in the future.. and it works great under Rogers ..

@hawkeyetim
I wonder why you find this a problem? I bought my Xoom from CPW on thier TalkMobile contract which runs over the VodaFone Network and here in London i can get speeds of up to 8MBPS. The Xoom cost me just £129.99 on a 24 month £25pm contract and for that i get 5gb of data per month. So as opposed to buying it outright it will cost me over 2years just £129.99 more and i get 5gb of data per month for the additional cost seemed like bargain to me and why i bought mine this way and the Xoom is unlocked to and i received my updates yesterday so am now running official 3.1 as far as I'm concerned buying my Xoom this way from CPW is a great deal.
Marc
The issue I have is that Vodafone is very poor where I live and work so talk mobile is out and the 3 deals are a bit expensive but I might have to bite the bullet and go with 3.

Hey people,
I was wondering if Walmart, BestBuy or any retail store would carry the Nexus 4?
I tried to get it today online from Google but I was too slow...
Plus, I'd like to use paypal.
What do you guys think?
Thanks

Best Buy will not be carrying the phone. Tmobile is selling it but I heard they won't sell it off contract and that the device may be locked. Online retailers are going to be your best bet if you can't get one from Play Store

It won't be locked, Google wouldn't allow that.
I am a Tmobile customer. Would I be able to buy my phone from them, as an upgrande since I already have a contract with them?

Depends if your contract is up for renewal or not. If it is, yeah! If it isn't, you'll most likely have to pay an upgrade fee.
Last week a gentleman at best buy told me they would carry the phone most likely the week after launch and It would be locked to specific carriers. Who knows if that holds any truth since this whole phone release/launch has been filled with misinformation.

At the Bell store I asked about the N4 - <cue crickets>
At Best Buy Mobile - <cue crickets>
I was lucky enough to buy one on Play yesterday however.
Is the N4 being sold from Tmobile the same as the one being sold on the play store? I would be using is on ATT.
Thanks
Matt
All nexus 4s are factory unlocked so yes it would work with an AT&T sim

But it costs nearly $200 more than from the Play Store...so why would you get it from T-Mobile?

Ok, so to purchase it on contract is $300. The $49 is due up front with the remainder getting paid off monthly over the remainder of the contract until the full $300 price of the phone is paid. So, to leave T-mobile and use it on AT&T, you would have to pay a $300 ETF plus the remainder of the $300 balance of the phone. If those things are not paid, T-mobile will blacklist the phone. T-mobile and AT&T now share a blacklist database, so the phone would be rendered useless.
If he is planning on buying the phone second hand from someone that already has it, if that person stops paying for the phone or stops paying their bill, it will also be blacklisted.
No, i'll buy it directly in T-mobile shop, there is some good price now for Nexus 4 my friend told me, so he will buy it for me.
**update
Finally T-mobile Nexus 4 arrived at me, and even many of you here wrote that Nexus 4 comes factory unlocked, it's not true at all ! This one is bought from T-mobile USA, and can't be used with sim card from my GSM provider here in Europe , when i insert micro-sim card from my european GSM provider, no GSM signal, it's locked !
So please if someone of you, know how to sim unlock of T-mobile Nexus 4, post here!?
The Taiwanese manufacturer has just let us know that the HTC One is available in the US today online and in retail stores nationwide at AT&T, Sprint, Best Buy, Radio Shack, Walmart, Target, Amazon.com, Costco, Car Toys, Sam’s Club, HSN.com, and HTC.com.
More Details at : PocketNow
Also up for preorder at T-mobile !!
I wonder if the htcdev unlock for ATT will work today of if they've now locked that down?
For T-mobile, is there a way to checkout just the phone full price, not the plan??

Looks like there isn't and also existing customers are not able to preorder. Basically new customers with plan attached to the checkout.

You mean for a non T-Mobile customer? No. You can pay full price if you are upgrading your existing T-mobile phone.

Ordered 2 HTC Ones from T-Mobile yesterday evening, already shipped and will be here on Monday. Can't wait!
Leaving Sprint of 8 years, and ditching 2 GSII Epic 4G Touch.
Yeah I purchased mine out right yesterday at AT&T. I also have an iPhone 5 and Nexus 4 and in my opinion the One blows away both of those phones. I think the HTC One is the best phone I have used yet. Also att lte flies.
