Is there a way to get Facebook notifications, like when some on comments or like, I only get mails, events and friend request when I am out of the app. Only when I open app the notifications load @ the bottom, n.b. latest fb app for android.

FB app itself doesn't even give you all your notifications...
Facebook has Text Message Alerts... Have you tried that? And there free... I think

I just use the touch.facebook.com website, it's a lot easier than the app
That facebook Android app really sucks imo. It laggs, lacks options and looks horrific. I wish there was a decent FB app like for the iPhone
how do I loose the little android smileys that show up in my texts and apps? might show up there as example if using xda app.

Go into the application -> Menu -> Notification ringtone -> Silent
Then you shouldn't get sound when you get a notification.
I am on Android Revolution HD 3.3 amt and the Facebook Push Notification are not working for me, too.
Is it working for anyone?
Im also on droid Revolution HD 3.3 and the Facebook push works for me.
Are you syncing your contacts with FB for HTCSense or with the native FB app?

I must admit the Facebook app is weird. For weeks the push notifications didn't work but after I rooted my DHD is started working. Very strange

I saw on the new sidekick the messaging app lets you message a group then when someone replies everyone gets the reply. Does anyone know where I can get that apk or a similar app to that? Thanks in advance......

I have no issues on my 6810 after the last upgrade, perhaps you need to change how often facebook updates? or select which notifications show up?
Or check your web facebook setting. Under authorised app...it work for me last time...

I have it to update every 30 mins, they should have it to update earlier than that. I have it to show all Notifications but I don't get a single one.

Bellow is all the apps that are authorized to work with Facebook but the main Facebook app is not listed no matter what version I install. I had v 1.9.9 and I am now running v 1.9.7. I can't seem to figure out what is wrong with it and really annoyed that I am not getting any notifications.

yup... facebook notification on android seem to be lacking since forever... they never fixed it... my last time work around... find someone who owns blackberry... borrow it for a while and log in facebook using their bb apps... and suddenly the bloody notification on android is working fine...
I just gave up and use Friendcaster for the notifications. It's not as heavy on the battery as the official app; and I just browse the regular web site.

I have Friendcaster as well but noticed I don't get notifications from some of my friends and their post don't show up. If I want to check it need to log to the Facebook website in order to look at the posts, not very convenient
