Flash it twice without rebooting, and in future use the Q&A forum, specifically the CM7 thread.
Hello,
I recently got a Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Edition (i9505G) and went through all the steps of rooting, unlocking, and flashing CM11. I noticed that when I tried installing CWM 6.0.4.4 on it, it would work to let me install CM11, but then somehow still reboot into stock recovery: (I made a thread here before I found a solution: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2603469).
I just recently installed TWRP 2.6.3.0 and found it to work without the issues I was having with CWM 6.0.4.4, although both are supposed to work fine. Is this a known problem or has anyone else found the same thing?
This isn't really a question (hence not in the Q&A) as I find it to be a development question for CWM in case I'm the first to have this findings with the recent CWM and recent 4.2.2 Android builds.

I use CWM 6.0.4.4 on my i9505G as I prefer it to TWRP. I have run both at different times with no issues except TWRP will sometimes lock on the splash screen.

Did you use the i9505 version of CWM 6.0.4.4?

Yes, the version for jfltexx. I flashed it through ODIN and never had any problems with it. Are you using ODIN to flash your recoveries?

Sometimes. I think I found the problem. I was using ROM Manager to flash the recovery, which seems to write the recovery somewhere else, because then I get stuck in a CWM bootloop when I would hit Restart-->Recovery. That is how I was getting stock recovery and CWM, because I just replicated the problem and had TWRP and CWM, then touch CWM and CWM. I don't know if it it writing it in a temporary fashion, but it is annoying. I'm going to just fix it by just using the ODIN versions and being done with it.
Hi,
I installed this SBF using RSDLite: DEFYPLUS_U3_4.5.1-134_DFP-231_ND_SIGN_UCADEFYEMARAB1B80AA004.0R_PDS03C_USAJRDNGIBRRTNORD_P011_A013_Service1FF.sbf.gz, (GB Nordic SBF).
Then installed Framaroot 1.4.1, rooted the phone using Gimli exploit, said root successful.
Then installed 2ndInit 2.4, said install successful.
Rebooted two times, went to custom recovery, everything seemed ok. Wiped data/cache/system using AromaWiper.
Then installed the latest fixed CM7 (cm-7-20130710-UNOFFICIAL-jordan_plus-signed.zip).
Upon reboot, the phone is stuck in bootloop. I'm still able to enter the custom recovery, so I guess 2ndinit worked, but installing the aforementioned CM7 results in bootloop.
I tried scanning through the All-in-One guide here, but couldn't really pinpoint what exactly is my problem. Could someone help, what would be the steps to take to get my phone running CM7? I'm able to flash SBF and at least seemingly flash zips via custom recovery, but I suspect there is something wrong in there since the flashed zips don't seem to work.
EDIT: If anyone can help? Is it that 2ndinit was installed badly? Reinstall from SBF, re-root, pay more attention to 2ndinit install?
In the All-in-One guide I find some problems with 2ndInit and talk about GoAPK SystemRecovery? Would that help?
Plz help. Somebody has the same issue ? I've tried with CM11, CM12, PA4.6, Liquidsmooth, etc. with the lastest TWRP (v2.8.2.0) and kitkat baseband. All give me the same result. I've to say that when i acquired the G2, it has the screen broken, so i can't use TWRP, then i decided to flash PhilZ, but when i wiped system, it also wiped EFS. I didn't knew that would even happen, 'cause i've used that recovery on several phones and never happened that before. Anyhow, what is done is done, so i need to know if someone here get through the same issue. Thanks in advance
