Alright does anyone know of a way to get rid of this retarded sms issue where it splits my sent messages up and any received ones longer than 160 I've tried hadn't didn't see a way to fix it there... Or is it yet another thing samsung did wrong on the software...

Its a software issue I addressed at my local store. Its suppose to be fixed in the next update. They didn't know which update though.

No texting... WTF!!

All of a sudden, I can't send a text to anyone on another carrier except Verizon. They all seem to send fine but nobody receives them. I can receive them from anyone though. For the love of God, help me!!

Haha na jk. Go to messaging settings and check mark the delivery report to find out if there recieving them. Also reboot your phone

Tried both suggestions, neither were successful.

Are you stock? What is your setup. Are you using a third party testing app? A little more info would be good.

I'm rooted, on froyo. 340, tried stock message app, Handcent, go sms and Youlu. It does seem that Youlu works sometime whereas all the others never work. All work for texts to Verizon customers. And I do receive all texts from all carriers.

SOLVED....... don't use a signature on your texts, it makes it a enhanced text and not all carriers can handle it.

Install another sms app (from play store) and see if it works.
If it does, then there's a problem with your mms.apk.
If it shows the samw problem, then you gotta talk to your service provider.

Messaging is sending a lot of messages

I get this after sending like 3 messages in a row..then it happens after every single message its very annoying. I'm running stock, not rooted. Anyone know how to fix this?

Don't text so much
I believe it happens when sending more than 30 texts in an hour. Its a safety measure to prevent a malicious app from spamming texts.

Click to collapse
I take it there's no way to change that then :/

Not stock there isn't. If you root I'm sure theres a way to turn it off

Slow text messages

Is it just me, or do texts take forever to send sometime. And then when they finally send, the person receiving them gets duplicates!! What is the deal with that??

Sounds like a network connection issue. I had that happen a lot on my galaxy note II. I haven't had the issue on my G2.
