When I put my finger over the light sensor(or in very dark conditions), my phone locks itself. I didn't download any app for this. I noticed it doing that after reinstalling CHT2.0
How can I fix it?

Go into CHTEditor. Look for a setting (or a toggle) dealing with the proximity sensor. There is a new feature in CHT2.0 that lets the proximity sensor lock the screen.
I did not find any option related to the light sensor...
Just look a little bit more. Implementing directlinks or freelinks you can choose out of contacts, programs, switches, status switches and more. You´ll find a status switch to activate and deactivate the proximity sensor and you´ll find another one to avtivate/deactivate "relight proximity". Those two will give you control of the behaviour of your display concerning the proximity sensor.
Thank you, that fixed it

Here's the thing, I never use my phone in landscape so I prefer to have it locked from rotating . What happens is that sometimes I need to take a quick picture either through the camera app or whatsapp and I always forget to have to take off rotation. So I was wondering if there's a way to set it up somehow so the camera isn't affected by the rotation lock. Maybe a modded camera apk or something?
I just disabled rotation completely. Then I use tasker to enable it for only certain apps where I prefer to have rotation enabled.

1+ for Tasker here too. You can set it to detect when a specific app is launched and it'll change settings according to your desires.
Anyone else have issues with Lightflow making the phone screen turn on randomly when sitting on a table? The colors for the notifications are correct, but becausue of the screen coming on alot randomly this is going to kill the battery life. I even enabled a setting to reduce this in light flow but nothing works. Does anyone have lightflow working correctly?
Thanks!!
At the moment the only option is to switch off the ambient display. If there's an outstanding notification or one is getting updated it'll trigger ambient display and lightflow always has an active outstanding notification.
I've put a feature request in to Google to allow some control of when it triggers.

I don't seem to have this problem. Ambient display only lights up on new notifications, even with the latest Light Flow with persistent notification. I do have issues with light flow losing control on a regular basis and then I just see the standard very slow white led blink regardless of notifications. Activating lock screen promptly fixes and then I see the appropriate color and blink rare from light flow.

Thanks for the explanation. Hopefully u guys find a workaround
I also have had probles with the ambient display turning on seeminly randomly all the time, I didn't know it was light flow..
On another note, I miss the feature were my screen would turn on when I get a text messge (but not dismiss the lightflow) so in case the LED wasn't attention grabbing enough the screen turning on would be. Nexus doesn't seem to do that, can lightflow do this? (turn on the screen for 2-3 seconds right after a new specific notification, say text message?)

Out of curiosity is building the app with the new api's what triggers the need for the notification? Reason I ask is the previous (lollipop api???) version was working fine without the persistent notification on Marshmallow.

Yes that's exactly it.
I'm bringing out a new play store version later today which will be targeting lollipop's API for people who don't mind loosing android 6 specific features (ie runtime permissions, camera flash control) but don't want the notification related issues of apps targeting android 6.
a fine trade off for me. Had to stop using the app because of that for the time being.
Absolutely fine with me as well. Thanks for the great work as always Andrew.:good::highfive:
I have a rooted 6p running the latest stock rom, and I have two questions about flashlight:
1) Is there a lockscreen widget that would allow me to turn on the (camera) flashlight by e.g. double tapping an icon on the lockscreen, without first unlocking the phone?
(I installed gravitybox and I can put on the lockscreen an icon of a third-party flashlight app, but to run that app I need to first unlock the phone with pin and/or fingerprint).
2) Is it possible to adjust the brightness of the flashlight when used as a flashlight and without affect the brightness when used with the camera?
Thanks!

First of, you do not need to unlock your phone to turn on the flashlight. You can pull down the notification screen even when the phone is locked. to turn on the flash light.
I do not think, you can adjust the brightness of the flashlight without using a third party app. Try Flashlight app.

You can use the wake gestures app. I have it set up so swiping right turns the flashlight on. Works without the screen being on as well.

Is it the wake on gesture app in the store by team.fluxion?
Not what you were asking for, but I use power button flashlight. 3 pushes of the power button turns the flashlight on.
You can also pay for the additional option if you want to turn the flashlight off using 3 presses. Otherwise you have to tap the app to turn the light off.
The flashlight 3 presses are more of a dash dash dash press, slower presses with a short pause between the presses. Whereas the camera 2 button presses are like a dot dot action (rapid presses one after the other Like Morse code).

With our nice AMOLED displays it seems a shame that there's no Ambient Display in our ASUS ROMs. My previous phone had Lineage on it which added it and I've gotten way too used to it.
Does anyone use and recommend any third-party apps to do the same?
I have used Glance Plus which is by default meant for always-on like later Samsung models but I changed the settings so it just comes on with proximity wake (and taking out of pocket) and incoming notifications. Seems good except sometimes the display won't turn off which is not good so I've uninstalled.
I know there's a lot of similar apps available but figured I'd check here first if someone has already tried a few.
In the meantime I'm using Gravity Screen (for the proximity/pocket wake) and Glimpse Notifications for waking on notifications (this app should also do prox wake too but I find Gravity more effective) but it's not the same.
It's not the same thing, but the Zoom does support double tap to wake to see notifications without unlocking.
Hello dears . I bough this watch 5 months ago and in the catalog and on the official web site they claims that the watch have an air gesture wake up feature . I tried to search my watch for that option but i didn't find any thing related . Can any watch owner help here
Usually the settings for the palm brightness is in the launcher settings. So drag the screen down for the top and swipe right. You should see all the wifi / bt settings etc and in these settings there will be a icon for hand bright screen on and off. Toggle this on and see if it works. Failing that, you could download the Universal Launcher from the Playstore and do the same with that.
You could also download a sensor app, that will display your sensor information in real time - just to check that your accelerometer is working correctly. I think the app is called Sensoroid.
Thanks alot
