yeah i saw a video of Twonky server, looks pretty good.
Has ANYONE been able to successfully stream any content from a DHD to a PS3?
I have tried using Connected Media and TwonkyMobile Server and neither worked.
The only way I've seen DNLA work is DHD to a Windows 7 PC. I really would love it to work against the PS3 however - given that my PS3 is connected to a 40" HD LCD TV.
I am gonna try it tomorrow morning.
Can You just tell me what codec/container is best for DHD and PS3?

I've got mine working flawlessly using twonkymobile. I've never had any problems with it and it just worked the first time I tried
Yup. I can stream stuff from DHD to PS3 using TwonkyMobile (NOT TwonkyServer).
Doesn't work to my xbox 360 though. It sees the phone but can't connect to it.

Interesting. I cant figure out why its not working for me.
I had to uninstall Twonky Server and then everything went ok. Bit slow, but works ok.

i don't think the desire has an TV out, but maybe aa software dlna player would help. (not for tv out but if you have a dlna compliant TV you could share over wifi)
i want to show the pictures on my desire on the tv - it will be great -
As mentioned million times before: No its not possible and (most likely) wont ever be. Its a hardware thing. Sorry Mate

there must be a way to bypass the display out to the usb.
the same thing worked with the first psp back then. you could connect your psp with your computer via usb, and play watching your pc monitor
its not the desire but some input:

Yesterday I started messing around Allshare on the Epic and had no problem setting it up. All I had to do was connect to my Wi-Fi, start the app, and WMC and XBMC both saw my device. However, I'm having performance issues with streaming video. When I try to watch a 720p video from my phone I'm getting stuttering and buffering, lower resolutions videos are a little better but the same thing happens. I was getting issues on my Macbook and PC, so I don't think it is computer issue. WMC and XBMC do not make a difference, I experience the same issue in both programs. I'm connected with 802.11n on WNDR 3700 router so I doubt that's the problem. Its either the Allshare application it self or the phone, maybe even the SD card isn't fast enough to stream 720p video.
Has anyone else tried to stream 720p video from your phone to another device, did you experience any problems?
The only streaming issue that I've had with the 720p video is my television won't play the audio properly, says codec not supported but I have no stuttering, and this is using a wireless G network.

It finds my DLNA server, I don't think it can connect directly to your shared drives, or drives in general.

Does a 720p recording from the Epic's camera stream to your PC smoothly?
Haven't tried to the pc, but didn't work on the ps3
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
I tried it with both Win 7 and PS3. The avi file that played on the PS3 didn't play on WMP. Videos recorded on the Epic worked on the Win 7 wasn't supported on the PS3. I had occasional stuttering and buffering problems (maybe a few seconds every 5 min). My wireless signal is probably only 50% at that location however.
doesn anyone know how to play it in tv... my tv is dlna but everytime i try to play it saids unable to play!? anyone?

If your PS3 is on your network turn on your phone's wifi and use the AllShare app that came pre installed on it.

You can watch the movies as Algorithm said using Allshare. Or when you phone is plugged into your PS3, go to Videos->USB Device, hit triangle and then "Display All". This will navigate through your folders.
Okay it worked using the usb cord but when I debinged my phone it also got ride off allshare any idea how to get it back

As far as I know it's only possible if you have a DLNA enabled tv. Those are the internet ready ones.

Guys, just want to know if the 'Wireless Display' is a good feature for most us. Will you push your phone screen to the TV?
(Assume you already have a Miracast dongle)

I guess your LG TV will work with phone which has LG logo on it.
I won't use it, not because I don't like it but because I don't have a need for it.
I don't think I'll use it. Maybe to try it, but not more.

I have tried to share my son's video in the family TV, so his grandfather can watch more clearly, he is a aged man, bad sight.
Yes
Yes I would use miracast.
I'm currently using Airplay protocols to stream some content via my Nexus4 to a Raspberry Pi running XBMC - with display on my TV. This works quite well using PushTo and iMedia apps. But not all media sources can be pushed - it depends on primary app that accesses the media.
I also use a satellite box too that runs Enigma2 (based off Linux) and then use DreamDroid in conjuction with semperVidLinks to push content (mainly Youtube with this route) to the TV.
One thing is it's all changing very fast and I guess more content will be available for streaming as developers pile in.
