Hi Guys, new to the forum and very happy i now have a XDA Mini S except I was hoping someone could help....
I have recently noticed that the ring tone doest ring when I receive an incoming call. It must be somthing Ive done because it has worked in the past.
ive set various tones via settings>sounds and notifications, by right clicking on various sound files in device>my docs, by placing tones in Windows\rings and by using menu>options in phone. I have the sound on full and have set it to Ring, vibe and ring etc but it is always blank. Cant be corrupt files because whatever I try it doesn’t work. I have done many soft resets.
Any suggestions please - Im missing all my calls??

Yes it seems to be the vol on the right of the two volume settings... I'll research the difference now and review that post again properly..

it's maybe a little off topic but....
i'm using a very cool program called Magicall which basicly filters my incoming call and SMSs ...
this lovely program also gives a great informative notification of the missed call / SMS
which sadly causes a duplicate notification to be created (one by the windows and one by the program)
so ..... i would very much like to disable the windows's notification (it is much less attractive !, Magicall's notification shows you the number/cotact which called you without going into a list !, just by clicking the left soft button)
please help me (if it's even possible)

I think u shld better check notifications setting or else it is a default function for each and every phone to notify u abt ur missed calls.

I'm developping a little .net service that replace the diamond basic function wich mute sound during incomming call when the diamond is facedown. My app works great for the moment except a little thing :
when i turned my diamond facedown during an incomming call, the vibrate profil is enabled (the vibrate icon appear in taskbar), but the phone continue ringing.
How can i make to apply vibrate profil during incomminc call when the phone is ringing ?
(scuse for my poor english, it's not my first language)

has anyone a solution or the ability to write an application that will change the Ring type to "Ring and Vibrate" and can reside/activate in the StartUp folder?
Sprint Diamonds resets the Ringtype to "Ring" each time we do a soft reset. It is very annoying to go in and change it each and every time.
Any ideas are greatly appreciated, since I do forget to do this from time to time and miss phone calls when the phone is in my pocket.
One of the most annoying "features" in almost every ROM I tried (and I tried a lot!) is that if you are in Manila's SMS or e-mail tab and press the call button (in order to open the dialer).. then the dialer will automatically dial the displayed e-mail or SMS sender's number.
Does anybody know how can this be disabled ?

I have the same problem. And it is soo frustrating, i press the phone button and immediately have to press the end call button. Then type in the number i want to ring.
Someone notice this thread! It is probably an easy problem to fix for you experts...please help:d
