Dumping Polaris Italian Smartphone

Hi forum, any solution to dump and reconstruct the HTC POLARIS rom?
is the same of the Kaiser?

yes there is the possibility of dumping the rom and reconstructing. the first rom i created was based on the rom we dumped from raskells device. cmonex would have to show u how its done and guide you through the process though. olipro could too so find one of them 2. i think though it would be easier to get the italian rom u have on device now in form of a ruu upgrade.

i contacted cmonex bc i can reconstruct and make a flashable OS only version but i am trying to see if i can get a full ruu for everyone with italian devices to flash.

Yes but I want in italian

i think the dumped roms should be converted to ruus this weekend. it was quite a job for cmonex. she had to add in bits into the nbh every few bites so it worked properly. this needed a tool. i will contact her to get the progress though.

Is this a Kaiser radio since 1.65.xx.xx radio ROMs usually are not Polaris/Touch Cruise ones?

Doesn't answer my question.
There is no 1.65.30.09 radio listed and last entries are from october 2008, so not very up to date.
Still, it seems that 1.65.30.09 radio could have been ported from Kaiser ROM.

Master 'chavonbravo' says it is an unreleased version. It may be from Kaiser. Check this please

battery useage
has anyone else noticed that their battery seems to drain very quickly (faster then normal) when there is little 2g reception left to be picked up.
If no one else it may just be me being parnoid about battery level.

How can pached this (.nbh) radio?

Just copy CustomRUU for the Polaris into the same dir, and you're good to go.

For me works exelent with some roms (6.1 & 6.5 in Poland)
Low drain of battery (~6% per day without calls). GPS and camera work.

Thanks for the new radio rom..wil test it right away.

Can you share for others exactly what you did to get the 576? I know I read in another thread fards used 2.02 test ROM and the radio 2.6.50.4.
Can we just use the drivers from OEM drivers and the Radio 2.6.50.4? Or do we have to use the 2.02 OEMXIPKernel and SPL 2.02?

they did nothing. i see ur using the lost in asia rom, all u have to do is just flash the 2.06.50.04 radio and u'll see the 576mb of ram. it will work with the lost in asia rom cuz it's based on the 2.01 rom..i know this works cuz i'm on the 0.5 version of lost in asia

It's more than just the Radio. I just tried on my ROM Lost in AsiaV0.5 23518 and I get 448 mb of RAM. My ROM is based on 1.66 with 2.02 Packages.

Ok, i now have 576Mb of ram but there appears on face value to be an unfortunate side effect.
Check out the screen shot I have gone from 339.7MB of Ram with roughly 166 free to just over 209mb with 42 free
I am using Toms V1.1 whicvh is based on 2.02 so as BobsBBQ says there is more than just a radio flash to get this working.
Anyway Nice work Michy for this, if i was italian i would use it. Also have you noticed this issue as well?

Go to bootloader, connect the usb, start the program to flash the radio - what happens then?
Does it do something, how did it stay the same if flashed a new radio?
What is your device - euro or us?
There is a guide - pretty good one - How to flash everything - in my signature, go through it carefully, go to the radio thread ad download a radio with .50. in it, then follow the steps in the guide.
