I'm totally blown away by this... I thought the bootanimation was nice but it really didnt do much until today and all of a sudden my thread blew up. So I guess I'm on the front page and thats why.

Honestly didn't expect it and was really surprised to see it today. My d/l's on it shot threw the roof over night and I was kinda baffled as to why and then one of the user said I made gizmodo so I googled "Screaming Android" and it was everywhere.
I'm actually kinda humbled cause I really didn't expect it. Sure the wife will be happy to hear it since she was kinda annoyed on the amount of time I spent on it without asking for any donations (probably will never ask) or trying to sell it.
This makes me want to release the other versions I made (like 3 more) some are un-branded. Maybe I'll look through and see what allot of you were asking for.

I can't wait to see what you do next

My Verizon store story.

I thought I would share this with you all. It's kinda lulzfull that people know who we are.
I am currently with T-Mobile, but am more than likely going to switch to Verizon when they become AT&T-Mobile late on this year as I hate everything that is ATT and refuse to give them my money. So anyways here's the story. Note that I am ME and the Verizon guy is VZW, and that it's kinda emelished for the lolz, but this conversation did genuinely happen.
Me-Oh hai, I'ma lookin at switching from T-Mobile to you guys and would like to ask about a Thunderbolt and see what kind of packages you all offer.
VZW-KK coolio. The T-bolt is awesome, but kinda expensive...might I reccomend the !FASCINATE!?

Great story! This XDA community (and related AC, etc.) is certainly a subculture to itself...

It's funny about that Froyo stuff given that it was really just two days away. I'd wait for Droid Charge if anything. The T-bolt sucks battery on 4G and apparently it's a hardware issue with the chips inside it not playing nice with each other.

I for one, will miss him. He helped me tremendously with my theming. I hope he makes his return when everything settles down

Dreamsforgotten, last I talked to k0nane personally on the night of the ACS/INC start he told me Dreams was knee deep in smali code (theming) for the Nexus 4g..
So we definitely have a lot of important pieces missing to the big Epic 4g puzzle... I sure hope one day they all come back so we can finish this picture.
We still have some great themers and developers, plus many new in the last month or so up and comers that have made a great impact on the scene so we are going to all have to pull together and do the best with who/what we have. Everything will be fine.
Now more than ever everyone needs to work together, hand in hand and share to make future GB and the last of EC05 development the best it can be for the Epic 4g.

Yet another goodbye sorta thread

Just wanted to say goodbye to my fellow epic users, i will be here a lot less now that i finally got my galaxy nexus.
Some of you might know who i am,
But i know a lot of people in this community and wanted to say thanks to all the helpful users, developers and friends i made. I am going to flash my epic over to cricket for my gf and so i will still have it close by.
Epic was the greatest first android phone i ever had and development was awesome even tho we had the whole froyo drama.
Goodbye i will miss you and i will see some of you in the galaxy nexus thread.

Time to break my addiction

Well, I haven't actually had the Epic for 6 months now, though I still have 2 of them on my account. With my GS3 getting delivered tomorrow, I think its time to break my Epic4G thread addiction and say goodbye.
I want to say thanks to everyone here for a good couple of years. I made many good friends from this forum, learned a ton, and tried to pass on much of it to the group of themers that came after me.
I know that I will see many of you in the GS3 forums in the next few months, so until then, unless my daughter or ex f up their epics and I need help.

I know I am thankful for what you have given. You will and have been missed.

So 2 weeks after having it....our badass cm maintainers integrate linarosomeness and make our epic....even more epic....with speeds that surpass anything by using....um....quarks and gluons...yah....so I just have to come back and use shanes blue theme....because well ya its the best....

How about...all former OG Epic users who go to SG3 can simply post roms, themes, mods, and LeBron King photos over here in the Epic forums. There can be some kind of "code" used so we can differentiate between Epic threads and non-Epic (non Epic can have a suffix like "NE"- so we can have Peoples Rom NE, RandomRom NE, etc). Kenny, as FNM, can watch over to make sure no non-Epicureans get in (like the burly guy that stands at the velvet rope and let's the hotties into the nightclub). It will be like a "secret society" of old Epic users, complete with crest that can be used as splashscreen animation...
Shane, your contributions to the Epic were, truly, Epic. Thank you for your creativity and time! See you on the other side...
