Looked around the net but cannot see any yet, has anyone else been successful?
Someone did post a couple of links a few weeks ago about a very attractive dock to play music through your kaiser. You are talking about a music playing dock and not a charging dock aren't you? The only problem there was no price quoted for the docks on the site and the method of buying the product was a bit ambiguous. I think in order to get info about ordering, you have to contact the company. I've I aboth companies about the dock to see how much they cost as I would certainly buy in future
Edited to add: I found the thread talking about Kaiser sound docks: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=350194
And here are the links for the same dock: http://www.4ustuff.com/info.php?itno=2051
http://www.cradle-kingdom.co.uk/products.asp?id=1005
Thanks for that. It'll probably show up on ebay first.
I'll have a hunt around see if I can get more links.
http://www.4ustuff.com/info.php?itno=2051
Judging from the email I was sent by the company, looks like 4ustuff are only wholesalers. Now who they supply to, I don't know
Here's an amazon link to the tytn version, don't know if it would be compatible, or if there's a tytnII version.
http://www.amazon.com/Cingular-Char...bs_2?ie=UTF8&s=wireless&qid=1203363992&sr=8-2
Not sure if this is what you're looking for but I have one of these.
http://www.seidioonline.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=832
I don't use the sound feature normally but I just tried it out and it works. It doesn't have built in speakers but comes with a mini-stereo jack...very similar to an iPod dock.
BUMP! Anyone found one yet?

Has no built in speakers. Want one to use at work when i am in my test area so i can listen to music while charging the phone. The one i had for my Wizard also had a built in mic so i could use it for hands free too. Would be very useful!
The one that Dungbeetle pointed out may be ok but only available on USA Amazon and will not ship to the UK.

You cant buy a crappy pair of speakers and just plug them into the seido version?
Does anyone know if by any means it might be possible to use our G2 as a bluetooth earpiece with speaker on of course for use with a playstation 3? i hate all the dinky earpieces and it just seems like it would be a really great feature and we have made some pretty good bluetooth advancment over the past few years. Just wanted to shoot that out there to see if i can get any input or ideas on the possibility of this option. Thanks, veritasaequita
That would be pretty cool, or for XBOX. I only use it for borderlands System Link Games but having a way to just have my phone play it instead of a stupid headset would be awesome

i've been thinking the exact same thing, but not for the g2 as i don't own it lol more like the G1 i am thinking of getting desire z some time early next year (due upgrade on december 10th but to leave the plan im on to save monies)
that would be interesting though will keep an eye on this post.
as for the xbox, does it have bluetooth?
I was looking for an app for this not too long ago. Yes Xbox has Bluetooth for its controllers, but I don't believe its accessible
Sent from my T-Mobile G2 using XDA App
Sounds like the best we get is the Wii Controller lol
I asked with no true answer
I asked this along time ago when I owned a G1, they said it may be possible but no one ever put the idea to test. Im guessing the G2 has more bluetooth capabilities being a newer device and probably can do it. I think we need a developer.
I have the G1 here willing to test anything dangerous and the G2 is the baby
My understanding when I had my MyTouch 3G was that the Nexus One had a higher level of Bluetooth that could access the Wii Controller and my phone could not. I'm sure it's the same kinda thing.
I would think it should. Ps3 uses bluetooth 2.0 and says is backwards compatable with bt 1.0 i dont have a ps3 and dont use bluetooth so i cant be certian but it should be a software issue so an app is needed

Brought a unbranded sixaxis controller, it started to worry me because it didn't affect my nexus 7 while connected via usb on the stock rom.
And then I rooted to paranoid android and its still the same.
Thought that it might work via bluetooth so I used the sixaxis pair tool and changed the bluetooth address and it wont pair, then i used usb cable to pair controller on the sixaxis app and it said "master address updated" but it doesnt pair and the lights keep on flashing on the controller.
Please help!! I want to play games >:|
Buy the branded controller. It's expensive, but will last a lifetime if you don't drop it too much.

Yeah but is there any way to get this one to work?!
It has Bluetooth its just not syncing with six axis app
If I'd had known I would have brought the official one!!!

When you download the Sixaxis app from the Play Store it warns you about it not working with unofficial controllers.
Try plugging controller into your ps3. That might reset the master address.

That's the chance you take buying an unofficial controller. It MIGHT work. Yours does not work. You should be able to still use it wired, though.

You've got the USB OTG adapter and it plugged in using a game that supports gamepads? Have you tried using https://play.google.com/store/apps/...51bGwsMSwyLDEsImNvbS5wb2tlNjQ3MzgudXNiam95Il0. ?
Most likely has to do with a different product/vendor ID on the controller itself. I have no idea how the sixaxis app recognizes official controllers; but if it does it via vendor/product ID check, in theory, adding your ID to the list should work.
Going about doing this though, I have no idea.

No kidding. He's asking for advice and I'm telling him to cut his losses and buy the official. He's clearly not getting the unofficial Chinese knock off to work. It will not work with six axis.

I'm a poor student, I don't have £30 to spend on a controller! Although I would have preferred to have not wasted my time on this cheap one and got an official one instead!
Yea, the same thing happened to myself. I was just looking around on Ebay, when I saw a $7.50 "PS3 Six-Axis Controller" It didn't work..
I'm not sure if it would work with anything.

Yeah and I thought that at least it would work with another app once rooted like the USB/BT joystick app. Especially as there's people using all sorts of random controllers with their nexus 7's.
Have you not been able to get it to work at all?
No I haven't gotten it to work with anything. I sent a few emails to the guys behind USB/BT Joystick Center 6 (Poke64738) and they basically told me that they wouldn't be able to get it working w/o the actual device to tinker with.
I ended up getting an iControlPad. It works really good, but the D-Pad is just glued on to the silicon membrane. Which means that it will fall off eventually.
This is what my D-Pad looks like after gluing it back on about 6 times -_- (before I scrapped the glue off) You can notice that there isn't any rim to hold it in like the second picture. with the regular buttons.
These are old pictures I used to make a support ticket on there site. They ended up sending me a new membrane with a D-Pad glued down already for free. So I can vouch for there customer service, not there build quality... I have three A buttons on one controller. XD?
The iControlPad 2 looks like it's got the same setup as well, really a shame.

Do you know of any other good cheap controllers out there that work?
Interesting Android smartwatch here. It can actually be used as a standalone phone, bands are GSM/GPRS Quad Band:GSM 850/900/DCS 1800/PCS 1900 MHZ (can this be used on AT&T?).
What I'm not seeing is if it can be used as a dialer for your phone, so you can just leave it in your pocket and make and receive calls like the Gear.
What do you guys think? I'm tempted to get it just to play around with.

Doing some further reading, yes you can initiate a call to your phone with it, woot! It also has music over bluetooth and local storage. It looks like it has no speaker/mic so you have to use a headset with it, boo, but that's ok.

Feature phone software, bleh.
Although I guess for 100 bucks you can't expect it to run Android.
Edit: Hmm, just noticed no where does it say there's a speaker built in...guess you have to use a headset to use it as a phone.
Also only compatible with Android 2.3-4.0. Doesn't say it works with newer.

Strange, I was also surprised by that 4.0 rather then 4.x reference. And I think you are right about headphone 3.5mm jack as the only way to listen to the music. Would have been great if they would include a camera in there.
Is it ok to say that it looks kinda...ugly?

Dunno why but personally i find most smart watches just tend to look either dull, or just plain awful. Maybe it's because of the space they have to work with? Dunno :/
You guys realize it's a phone? It might be nice to have as a backup phone, or if I just want a tiny phone. It doesn't run apps, but I never had much use for apps on a 1.5" screen.
It's interesting, I may grab one just to play around with. It seems to have AT&T bands. I don't plan on using it like a watch though, it's too ugly like that. I'd just stick it in my pocket or clip it on.

We're fully aware. It's just between recent offerings like the Omate Truesmart and previous offerings like every chinese watch phone out there, this one seems like too little too late to really make sense right now.

So I got one and got to say this thing is a perfect companion for a phone at work. Built in mic allows you to answer on your wrist and be like I'll call you back it also has Bluetooth audio out and wireless headset support. Weird thing is contacts and messages won't work without a sim has to have one active or not I'm on Verizon so its pointless to try lucky I had art laying around and it vibrates!! This thing is sweet to be cheap!!!

From the watch description:
Smart Sync Function: Can sync with smart phone, downloading phonebook and call history (iOS 4.0+ and Android 2.3+) to the device. When using Android 2.3+ OS, download and install the WiMe NanoSmart APK on the Android device and the NanoSmart will sync with the Android device (Google calendar events, new Gmail notification, call history, phonebook, sent/received SMS).
Have you tried to install WiMe NanoSmart?
I'm on 4.3 AOKP linario I can't say its bougus but the contacts sync but....... With out each and every number having the country code in it it refuses to call or message weird right? Gmail hasn't worked or calendar. I refuse to downgrade for it. I use this to get away with texting and calling at work via mini Bluetooth headset and a beanie lol.

I dont think that would be possible at least not until the bluetooth headset update goes through. since theres no headphone jack on the devices.

Oh, no, what I mean is talk through the watch mic and hear through headphones attached to the phone (assuming the headphones don't have mic of course).

My AKG headphones specially built for listening to music and dj use don't have mic, that's why I'm asking.
I'm very interested in this too!
I think the Samsung Gear can do this, but that's Tizen not sure about anything else.
I think it would be wise to invest into a watch with mic and speaker and wait for possible Android Wear update that would allow to make/answer calls this way. But I have not found any info regarding this.
Anyone?
Or even easier, would it be easier to achieve talking into the watch but hearing the other party from the phone speaker? Like let's say you're doing dishes or fixing something and can't pick up your phone at the moment but just turning your wrist wouldn't be a problem
They should have that option in next update. Although I think I saw an xposed module or an app that let you launch the calls directly though the phone speakers so it might work for you.
futuristic
certainly is a nifty feature, although i don't think its possible yet, it will definitely be coming next year
Gear S will have this since it's a stand alone device not a commission. Similar to the omate truesmart which was a nice little device that ran full android.

I'm searching for 2 weeks and i haven't found nothing. I think we have to wait Big G for an update that u can choose if u want to speak trought phone or thought watch.
Or we have to wait a good developer to support for made an root app or an xposed module or something like that i don't know.
We have to wait a long time for now.
why you don't want to use watch phone to talk directly ?
they don't have microphone built-in ? i am sorry i haven't
used it ,that is why i asked .but as i knew ,smart watch
can answer the call ,they should be not problem with talking
and listening through it ,shouldn't it ?
