There is API call to set "Caller ID" (for example, Network Default, Hide Numer or Show Number)?
Call --> Additional Setting --> Caller ID

i want to dial a number from shortcut through "cprog.exe -url tel:12345676789".
but this asks me to verify if the number is correct.
is there a way to suppress this message or is there any other way, preferrably with built-in tools, to dial a number? i am not using the standard today screen, but ultimatelaunch.

My network's default setting for Caller id is "Hidden", so every time i restart or switch off my ohone, i have to go back to the call settings and revert settings back to "Show Caller ID"
One of the roms, i used recently had not such an option and asked me for a network key, which i do not know.
On another rom it was not to easy to find where these settings are.
So here is the easy way to modify your "Caller ID" to be shown or hidden by adding it in your phonebook as a favourite.
Show "Caller ID" = #31#
Hide "Caller ID" = *31#

In my country I can't do it, because Cariers in Vietnam not support.
Why would you hide the ID? Are you a ninja?
I installed CM10 ROM my Defy and call settings menu missing. Where to find it? I would like set enable the Outgoing Caller ID show,
I have not found where I can set so even if I have my number hidden from my phone provider
it is always shown when I make a call.
Found this poorly translated instruction but it is for a standard Samsung phone.
Enable or disable the Show Number
You can disable the display of your number so it does not appear in the recipient when you make a call . You can also make a single call with hidden number . Your number is hidden only for calls , not when you send messages .
1 Find the "Hide ID "
Touch Phone .
Press the Menu key .
Tap Call settings.
Press the Additional Settings.
Please wait a moment while the current settings are retrieved.
Press the Caller ID .

Is there any way to make my caller ID visible? Because at outgoing calls, it always says that my number is "unknown number" and I want it to display my valid number.

Go into your dialer app settings and then into caller account settings. There should be an option how you want caller ID displayed. It might be on "do not show". You can switch to a different one. Hope that helps.
