It would seem like the HTC Camera is about to be fixed so 5mpx images can be taken. I wonder if any dev's have looked at the following other issues:
The preview window after taking a photograph still shows a missed call icon and a thunder cloud!
The digital zoom slider doesn't appear to work
Why not just use the Google camera app? Does anyone know why the HTC app is better...or is it just an interface some people prefer?

Hi there
Is there any cool app for recording video other than the default on WM 6.5.
Better would be that can use both Diamond cameras front and Back even that one at a time.
Tks in advance.
Re
didn't find anything like that still > you can get new options like Burst or Sport with the Diamond Tweak app. I found my Diamond not capable of taking 10 or more burst pics and more than 3 or 4 in Sport Mode .I think the ROM Version has smth to do with that >so you can still try it. As for the secondary camera you can choose in photo mode by tapping in settings on the icon under the size picture icon in the left .
Hope i helped.
I've just recently noticed (after using my camera more frequently) that the default gallery app causes the photos to be slightly blurry when viewing in full size. This problem is alleviated as soon as you zoom in, even slightly, but when you pinch out to full size again, the photo gets slightly hazy again. What is even more strange is that B&B Gallery off Marketplace does not demonstrate this fuzziness as all images are crisp regardless of if it is zoomed in or not.
Is there a setting that I can switch on the default HTC Gallery app to have all photos appear at full sharpness even at full screen size?
I see what you're saying. I took a few pictures of dinner with the family over the weekend and when I view the images in the default landscape view, they look a little fuzzy.
If I zoom in the fuzziness vanishes, and if I resize it to fit the relative size of landscape view, no fuzziness. If I tilt my phone to portrait and back to landscape, the fuzziness returns.
It is even more frustrating when you look at the photos through B & B Gallery. It isn't as integrated into the OS - ie having a shortcut within the camera view, but all the photos are clear from the start and they don't require zooming in slightly to capture the detail. Of course nothing is as bad as the stock Android 3D gallery, but it is disappointing all the same.
Just use Gallery3DMT.apk if you're having quality issues with HTC Gallery.

Is that different from:
http://phandroid.com/2010/04/13/images-look-blurry-on-android-2-1-theres-a-reason-for-that/
Just loaded it and answered my own question: no. The UI on Gallery3DMT is great, but the picture quality - especially when zooming at all - is just bad.
I too can see this. my eyes aren't great but i notice it and its pretty apparent.
Has anyone noticed we're missing the option for camera modes on our stock camera app? My coworker has the Motorola Droid 2 and his built in Camera app has the ability to shoot panoramic photos (you access it by pressing menu while in the camera app). Doesn't make sense that we'd be missing a feature that an older Motorola Android phone had…
camera 360 helps a little
not too much
I'm not worried about Panoramic myself, but the lack of tap to focus is really annoying.
I took some photos with the front camera using the front camera from SnapIt app in the stock vibe UI 3.0. While clicking the photo, there was some text in Chinese that appeared on the screen. I thought it was the name of some shooting mode sort of thing and that it'll not appear in the final photograph. To my dismay, though, after I had clicked the photographs, I saw that all of them have that weird text written over them. In a few photos that text is even covering up faces. I need to know if there is a way to remove this text from these photos and restore the faces. Using photo editors, I have only been able to get as far as cropping the text or if some of the photos. Nothing more. Please help me immediately.
Thanks.
Sharing a couple of sample photos would help identifying the exact problem.
And you might want to post this to the Q/A & Help section of Lenovo K3 Note's forum.

Just like the title says, does your whatsapp also use the wide angle camera as standard?
It's pretty annoying because you can't change it.
Is this something Whatsapp should fix or samsung?
It looks like it's using the wide camera but cropped? Makes no sense.
It's definitely a bug and only Whatsapp can fix it, the app decides which cameras to use and how
fix
Thanks to a quick search the fix to this is to toggle between the front and rear camera modes and it will cycle between front regular, rear regular, front wide and rear wide
Thanks to sammobile for this!
my poco x2 main camera is dead now after 1 year my all app camera set default in wide camera
