Can someone with a Droid 2 tell me what the Build.MODEL value is? Because of a bug in Droid X and Droid 2, I need to detect the devices and use a workaround. I know the Droid X MODEL string is "DroidX", so it's probably "Droid2", but confirmation would be nice!
The bug is that using TTS on the "alarm" audio stream causes beeping during phone calls. My app is "Good Morning" by Flywheel Consulting, for the curious. Thanks!

Hi, so my GPS locks on, and it says the first direction, but when i move, the blue navigation arrow stays still at the original moment I locked on. It's been like this since I can remember, but I need to go for a road trip and lost my car's GPS, can anyone help me find a solution? Currently I have the newest carbon Rom, & data is working. Hi, so my GPS locks on, and it says the first direction, but when i move, the blue navigation arrow stays still at the original moment I locked on. It's been like this since I can remember, but I need to go for a road trip and lost my car's GPS, can anyone help me find a solution? Currently I have the newest carbon Rom, & data is working. I have net10 w/ att sim. If you need any more info let me know!

This just started happening to me about 10 days ago! I'm stock everything on ATT. Can't use Navigate for the exact reason you described. If I use gmaps it is only accurate to 1km (big radius, useless). It searches for GPS all the time, too. So, sometimes the battery drains in a few hours with the screen off. Very frustrating new problem. I switched to ATT about two weeks ago but that might be a coincidence.
I can't think of any way to fix this. I might just buy a new phone, I really rely on GPS. Can anyone help?
Did you tried other navigate application or only Gmaps?
Try GPS TEST: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.chartcross.gpstest to ensure that everything is fine with your gps (accurate, sats, lock, compass...)
Did you make sure you have Google services installled and enabled Google location access. If yuo still have problem its probably your combination of rom and gapps package that is causing the issue. Try a different rom and proper gapps package from goo.im/gapps.
I compared the GPS test with another phone, and it's definitely not working on my nexus 4, any ideas what I should do?
Maybe your gps.conf file (system/etc) is corrupted, what you got inside the file?
You can try GPS FIX app and change to server of your country, it change the file also so its another idea.
Else - check the permission of gps.conf file, maybe you have missing permission...

seems fine.
you both says that you are on ATT, did you try other provider's sim and check it?
at GPS TEST what youv'e got? it lost the fix or its not recognize you moving (speed)? [what seems to be something with the sensor]
This just stays on the screen and doesn't change. Anyone, any ideas?

I get 4 and a half hour screen on time with this tweaks and apolo 7.2 kernel on kk (undervolted settings) WITHOUT LAG!
ONLY for 5.0.x and 5.1 (UPDATED - 18.04.2015)
I noticed a major bug on lollipop which caused by my tweaks! So I am publishing here only safe tweaks. Extreme users can use 4.4.4 tweaks on lollipop but their dalvik cache will clear on (almost) every boot (they have warned). Some of tweaks which causes this bug are have negative effect on kitkat (just on boot) but it is not harmful on a rusty os compared to lollipop. I can live with that.

Not necesary but here is a little advice for AOSP. Use 211 dpi screen by editing
ro.sf.lcd_density=240 to

Q: If I am going to use this tweaks what will change on my phone?
A: This tweaks for batter batery, lighter phone, butter smooth UI and faster app load. If you are good abserver you will notice the change.
Q: Every build.prop tweaker advices GPU rendering why don't you?
A for AOSP: Our little monster have heating problem. My purpose is speeding up this device without heating and ofcourse GPU rendering uses more battery (about %25 more from my tests on AOSP roms)
A for SAMMY: Yes, I added gpu rendering on sammy. Because there is no heating problem on stock (even colder). And we get great ui experience with less battery drain (compared to aosp. Btw this drain is very small and these lines are worth to use)

GUIDE FOR BUILD.PROP FILE:
This tweaks disappear when you update your rom or if you flash new rom or if you format /system
If you do one of them you have to re-paste this tweaks.
Check twice your buid.prop file if you have this tweaks already. Delete stock line if it is opposite value.
DO NOT DELETE ALL LINES just paste this tweaks below them.
If you experience random reboot or just phone power off after this tweaks clear cache and dalvik (adding v=n will boost first dalvik caching process).
How to update my tweaks? This tweaks are frequently updating. If you want to update them just delete my tweaks (NOT WHOLE LINES) then paste new tweaks.
These are not my tweaks I didn't invent them. But I gather them slowly, BEST for our i9100. It took my 6 months to test all the tweaks and combine them.

It's working on my phone. Still soon to say if there's an improvement or not, at least isn't worst.
First two lines is to edit the existing ones, all the others to paste at the end. There's also one line to delete or comment because CM12 use ART instead of Dalvik. Read the commented lines.

I mentioned in OP. It took my 6 months to gather them. But don't expect a hardcore gaming machine. These tweaks lights up phone and battery life - smooth ui balanced tweaks. If you are a light user (fb, whatsapp, runner games and music) use this tweaks safely.
Again, these are not for performance. Only for daily usage.

I open sync only before and after flashing new rom. If this is true, I didn't noticed because of this. I think this is one of the battery saving tweak's side effect.

There's a way, I just forgot which direction to take. I will see if I can make it a script (I am a Google wizard). Lol.
I'm not sure about a couple of those, some applications don't respond well to forcing GPU rendering on 2D layers.
I'm on havoc 3.2.but these tweaks I've used already in derpfest, crdroid....

Actually i'm using Lineage OS 16 for my Moto G Titan, checked on some other roms like AOSP Extended 6.0 (Pie) and Lineage OS 17.1
On Lineage os 16 i got like 2:40 hours of SOT using apps like facebook, messenger and whatsapp (40 extra minutes), on AOSP Extended i got like 3.5 hours of SOT (like 50 extra minutes) and on lineage OS 17.1 i got a little less (like 30 extra minutes) than LOS 16 because of the android version (Android 10), note: the battery of my moto G Titan now has way less duration that it should do but with an new battery, it will last more
Tested too on Alcatel 5054s on stock rom and i got 5 hours of SOT (2 extra hours, especially considering this phone overheates way too much and battery didn't last before adding tweaks, also had only like 250 MB of free ram and now i have almost 400 MB of free ram)
