I feel like I hit the Lotto, My Nexus one is schedule to be here friday by 3pm. I got the confirmation phone call from Fedex today. Im coming from a G1. I feel so excited to finally have the N1 in my hands. I have so many Q's for you all but Ill start by reading the do's and dont's. But give me some love everyone...
You wont regret it, thats for sure.
I hope not the $576 was pretty brutal.

To get you guys even more excited, Compared browser speed and I just saw my nexus one owned my coworker's iPhone 3Gs first hand, and he asked for a rematch this morning. He got owned again. Specially after using dolphin browser. thought I'd share.
It's an awesome phone. I was nervous about finally moving away from a physical keyboard, but I'm so glad i did. It also makes my iPhone friends jealous. Mostly because of the live wallpapers, lol.

mine got delivered on trash day and when i herd that truck at 9am I was soooo excited just to see my damn trash man :-(. do yourself a favor and dont looke window everytime you think you hear a truck.

Haha too funny because at my office I was the man with Kings Eclair Rom with live wallpapers on my G1. Until a coworker got a Droid. So Monday morning I'll be holding my head high and regain the title at work as, Top Phone Guy and Phone Guru again..

haha, You guys are killing me because I just did that. I took off work today and I awoke to a sound. I ran to the window and it was trash pickup. I heard that diesel sound. haha
I just got my NExus one, its charging now...im scared to even touch it..
Oh and as a side note, he doesn't even have a pregnant wife, so don't jump crazy over it LOL>

I believe it's what we call a skull cap here in my area of the country... it's kinda like a winter hat per se, but people rock them all year long because they're not too common and they look good (on me LOL)
On second look after I submitted this reply, Yeah, that's definitely a skullcap.
This guy reminds me of me, except for the last 30 seconds. I'd never even fake hitting a woman on purpose. Unless the woman is my fiance's sister. I like smacking her under her chin ROFL.

The dude in the first one looks like he'd be a riot at parties. Well, except for the wife-beating part. (Yes, I understand that it was a joke.) The dialog in the second was brilliant. I have two friends with iPhones and I've been trying to tell them the same thing, but they're stuck on their iPhones. One is sticking with his 3GS, but the other is definitely getting the 4. Ugh.

the funny thing on most of the surveys they get around 800-1200 votes the evo they had around 6000. evo won with almost 90%

Got mine today. Poor packaging, xoom box was not sealed and xoom was slidding around freely in box. Everything appears to be fine. I love this thing, only complaints are the speaker placement and the screen contrast. Othewise, I can't set this thing down!

same here, first launch event, matter of fact this is the first time i have won any contest, and supposedly they have goody bags for us invites,,sounds like a lovely few hours of asus showering us

you guys have any thoughts on which version they will be giving us, my thoughts its gonna be the 2.3 processor with 4gb of ram and 64 gb on storage, my reasoning is they want to give us a crankin model so we can praise it with lots of love and joy on these forums and others,,steve

We will see when we get there I'm pretty sure you are right though, but let's see when we get over there! Oh yeah, and as I hear the bootloader are locked as of now so whenever you see an ASUS employee ask them when will we be receiving an unlock so we can start development! Heh.
I will be there as well. I pre-ordered 2 Alcatel Idol 3's also, so it will be nice to compare the two.

So that was a fun time. Met a few AndroidCentral people, a few from XDA, and a whole lot of people who won contests to go. I honestly thought it would have ran longer, and was glad it didn't. Pretty cool grab bag as well, and I was lucky enough to snag the red version instead of the grey.
Oh nice on getting a red version! I immediately switched the stock cover out for the view cover anyway, though.
I am liking the view cover...more than I thought I would. the rock garden was a nice touch...

Color doesn't matter. Look under the phone/usb tray in the big box. They threw in a window-flip cover.

(nod) I don't use cases either. I'm not keeping the phone, though. It's really nice. I actually like the form factor better than my Nexus 6. Unfortunately, both T-Mo and AT&T are awful here in CT. I'm bouncing between 0 and 1 bar on the Zenfone and have full bars on my N6.

I overheard you say that immediately after you got yours, I asked about what other colors they had and the gentleman sure made it sound like he would have given me a red one if I asked nicely. But I wanted black
It's cool that they had a bit of flexibility.
Jaysus145 and I rolled up from Harrisburg not knowing what to expect. We were really blown away by the hospitality and had a great time. The Zen Garden is in my girlfriend's cubicle already. Nice touch by them including a T-Mo SIM as it gives people with coverage concerns a chance to give it a try. My coverage here has been pretty solid but on the ride home, it was very up and down. Coming from VZW, that might be an issue, but it does give me an option for when my contract is up.
Good to (sort of) meet some people at the event. Good times.

I was able to snag a red one as well. The color is really growing on me!
I was at the event as well and was happy to meet some of the people and get a free phone to review and play with. I got the red one as well...seems many people did not know...that they could just ask for a red one lol.
