[Q] How to mount the ext3/2 formatted Partition on HTC Wildfire.

Hello mate,
I am trying to boot Debian on WF.
My phone has been rooted by now, and i need help regarding mounting the partitioned fs.
Here's what i have on my SD:
1) 950MB ->Fat32.
2) 750MB -> Ext3
3) 150 -> Swap.
Now linux requires a partition to be ext formatted, which i have done by now. But i have no idea on how to mount the ext3 fs on htc wf.
I tried the procedure via recovery mode->partitioning-> mount /sd-ext/ but dint worked.
Would you please tell me how can i mount it by using Ubuntu. I am not a avid windows user and many tutorial relating to apps2sd are based upon windows, which isnt possible for me.
Also, how can i know the directory address of the filesystems i have generated. like, /dev/sd2 etc.

[Q] Problem with loading Ubunto

Hello team,
i try to start the ubunto on my HD2 and after starting the haret application ubunto is loading and its hung on screen with the error
"mount: mounting /dev/block/mmcblk0p1 on /sdcard failed: invalid argument failed"
Failed to mount the SD card, Cannot continue.
/bin/sh: can`t access tty; job control turned off"
Could someone help me... Try to format the SD card but this doesen`t help.
The Host os is WM 6.5 1,66 stock rom. I`m thinking that my be the problem is comeing from bootloader because its stock . But if this may be cause the problem i will change the bootloader.

it failed to mount the filesystem because it could not find the folder "linux" on your sd card.
see the readme.txt.
plopper
i was facing a similar issue...i realized then that my memory card partition was typed as logical instead of primary...formatting my card as primary solved the problem for me....maybe u shud try it too...

[Q] Create NAND partition from Android Terminal

Anyway of accessing / creating NAND partitions from Android Terminal?
My USB port is broken and I can't create a NAND ROM using USB Flasher.
I have HSPL 2.08 installed and I can reflash .nbh files. Managed to instal magldr and start Android from SD Card.
I am also able to start ClockWorkMod from SD card. However, ClockWorkMod complains that it can't mount the partitions. I suppose the reason is because the partitions don't exist.
I suppose I could use FDISK from Linux, however Android terminal can't find the following devices:
/dev/block/mtdblock3
/dev/block/mtdblock5
/dev/block/mtdblock4
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance,
grechia.

Cannot mount sdcard [twrp]

Ahoy there.
To make it quick:
I went back from WP7 (again problems), and already have installed TWRP instead of CWM, becauase i want to install this cutie to my HD2.
But the trouble is, when i mount my SD card and copy .zip file to SD, and when i unmount it, i cannot mount /sdcard inside my phone in TWRP.
when i go to INSTALL i can only see
Code:
[b]/sdcard[/b]
-(Up a Level)
-TWRP
and buttons:
Code:
Storage: (0MB)
when i go to >Mount, i can check everything but sdcard.
I don't really know what to do to make it works WITH making an ext partition cause i use EU ver. so i cannot just make it full NAND.
Help, please!
Need to fix it as soon as possible
Does the device need to be always on? After you copy, why not just restart the device?

I think i tried that, but can't remember well though.
Well, i managed myself to drive back to PAC v1.2a which doesn't require ext partition to install it on NAND
I bet in ~week im gonna get bored of it and will fall into troubles again
[seem solved]

[Q] Sd Card Partion

Hey Guys,
I am new this forum. I had Done my rooting and i installed a custom rom. I thought of increasing my Internal Memory by moving apps to sd. I rooted to CWM and partition my sd to 1 GB. And install Link to SD. Everything works fine. Guys i need a help is there any way to repartition to 512mb instead of 1 GB. So i could use more memory On my Sd.
Also
Do i need to uncheck everythning that i made during using link2sd in the process
Soloution
I know i may sound stupid for posting the solution since i am the one who asked for solution. I searched the whole internet to find the solution. Its easy to do that you don't need to partition etc etc. All you got to do is go to Settings -> Sd Card and Storage -> Unmount it -> And just format Boom You get your space back. I am writing this solution to people who have problem in removing the partition space
you can use cwm ro repartion your sd card or use computer to do it
