i just updated to 2.2 and the hotspot feature is not working... when i try to activate it fails with a the error "error"
'Wireless tether' works ok and apparently 'barnacle' does - so I don't think there is a rush to fix the inbuilt one.
A seemingly bad reason not to fix but hey who am i to judge
well its a question of priorities - I think the marketplace bug and some of the other bits are more important as there are no alternatives to them.
Guys can we not spam the forum with questions about Steve's ROM please ask in the ROM thread thank you

Hi All,
Just another person who owns the pre-historic elf. Spb shell has slowed down my phone to the extent of giving the music i listen to too many pauses and i like every other person who owns an elf hate the 'less memory available' error.
Looking for a solution (if there`s really any).. a solution like updating the ROM to something that would get rid of the annoying error message and the system slagging..
I don't wanna turn it into a brick.. need some serious advice before i mess it up.. I'm considering running the clean up wizard after only having Spb shell on it for 2 days now..
Any advice is welcomed.. Thanks..
You can upgrade your ROM Read the stickies if you don't know how to.
Please don't ask which ROM to flash, there are a bunch of ROMs try and see which suits you the best !

I found another problem with android build , when I try to turn Wifi ON
it shows me " error" then Wifi connection stays in OFF Status !

I think what thetruth132 is getting at is that this is a recurring and much discussed topic on XDA and there have been several other threads like yours. In almost every case, the threads like these are unnecessary and clutter the forums.
Simple answer? use the (very well hidden, apparently ) SEARCH function before you post a new thread, most people are sick of the clutter.
I have recently put on my phone Pdaimatejam 7.3 and everything seems to work fine except one thing, I can't get my phone activated to use the windows live things. I am a huge noob when it comes to this stuff so the answer may be obvious but I have no idea so any help will be very appreciated.

Isn't any wp7 Rom at this moment that allows you live services! Even if it is called full unlocked... So ... You have to activate your service at Microsoft... It's not a big deal... Or just use Xap market, is already on your IE favourites!

Have you gotten an activation code from Microsoft? There are plenty of tutorials of how to get one on here.... that should solve your problem. My live services work great!

Yes, there has been THREE updates, but I just see that as being responsive to peoples requests and fixing issues.
For me, it has been extremely more stable then the current version of Ultrafruit, and I haven't had too many problems. I use it heavily as a daily phone without any problems. And as the OP asked, Live services are running great. I was not able to download Live games on Ultrafruit.

Easiest way is to request an activation code via chat function on Microsoft page. Worked for me in UK, I told them phone was an HD7.
There are plenty of threads in this forum on how to do this, a quick search will reveal all the answers you need.. Good luck

Bug is bug, is matter more or less and can it be Daily used?
no more bug in Pdaimatejam rom than in a 'official' release from htc in his WP7 phone !!
when i read his posts, i think W.P.7 is against any change !!

any one else having problems with the proximity sensor during phone calls?
I make the call, place the phone next to my face, it turns off the screen then its right back on and i end up hanging up or the speaker phone comes on and it loud as all hell...

You help people or if you really are a noob and know nothing, you go to the off-topic forums (and be off-topic) but you most certainly DO NOT spam in a thread for 10 posts. Bumping your thread after literally 6 minutes is not going to encourage people to help you. It in fact puts me off replying to you because you seem like a bit of a twat for doing so.
However, even if I wanted to help you I couldn't. You haven't provided much useful information at all, just that your data doesn't work on NexusHD2 and it does in the AOKP ROM. Which radio do you have? What bootloader are you using? Have you read the FAQs and read through some of the last few pages of the thread at the very least? What have you tried so far to solve it?

I can see "H" icon and my ip at settings/phone info , but no connection. tried direct ip connection in case of DNS errors , didnt work.

Hi,
I've installed the Myarom S7 experience ROM from HTC mania. Fantastic ROM except for a few annoying things that I wouldn't mind getting sorted if possible just wondering if anyone here could help me fix a few of the issues?
Biggest issue is camera app is buggy. It's using the note 4 camera app though the live stream mode is available not sure how or why though when I try streaming it just says "starting stream" and does nothing. The problem is though that the modes don't work like selective focus works (though it did restart the phone the first time I tried it but hasn't happened since) and slow motion mode works. If I try downloading modes they install fine but take dual camera for example, I click on it and I just get a blue screen with a title bar up the top saying "dual camera" no errors or anything. Anyone know how to fix this?
Next issue is action memo link to action doesn't recognize text. I've tried updating input languages and I only have one selected but no avail. When I click on link to action it just says "recognition failed". And my last issue is that S-pen handwriting mode isn't available. If I go into keyboard settings there's no option for the S-pen detection to automatically switch to the handwriting mode so I can't access it at all. I tried installing the S6 keyboard but still no luck. Anyone got anyway to fix any of theses issues, especially the camera one?

For one I can't be asked to sign up to HTCmania that I'd most likely hardly ever use seeing as it's mainly all Spanish and Google translate, while it does a mediocre job can still be hard to figure out what people are on about. Second of all, again it's Spanish and even if I use Google translate I have no way of confirming that it's translated properly because I can't speak or read Spanish. Lastly I figured there would probably be more devs on XDA that could possibly help me out.
