First of all i would like to ask you how can I install the greek language for sms and gps to my phone.I have already downloaded this file from

but I did'n see any difference! (I already know it's for a dieffernet model).
Secondly I tried to flash the rom of my phone from CE OS 5.2.21734(Build 21734.5.0.20) to the latest update Ultimate iOmEgA WM 6.5 COM2 XIP SYS 21887
but an error260 CONNECTION came up so the the installation had to be canceled!

very simple. Your phone is not a genuine phone, it is a fake Iolite

Indeed, you have a clone one, we can't do anything for you unfortunately...
There are threads here and there about fake HTCs, so you can gather information about what you can do with it, but DO NOT try to flash the roms made for the original phone, they will not work and it would result in a bricking of your device...
Keep in mind that the clones only share the look with the original, the hardware is totally different. You have a different processor, less ram, etc.

So everyone who has fake htc he cannot have the applications made for real one?
Are there any applications made for this fake phone? I'm really confused.

Roms are device dependent, so they cannot be exchanged between different devices.
Applications are not, and there are people trying to get the touflo from the original device to the clones.
There are also roms specifically made for the clones, but it looks like some features are gone with these upgrades, such as the scroll wheel.
And the roms for the clones are not available in many languages... Only chineese, english, and spanish i think...

I own a KU990. The OS is very poor... We hardly can install customized themes and have no support for non-JAVA applications!
Could you please consider having a look on my phone and see if there might be a possibility to port Android to it?

People are just starting to run on android on the hd2 and n900. Both are quite powerful so I doubt 140 mhz will do the trick

Can someone tell me difference between 2.2 - 2.3 ?
cuz i see alot of devs trying to get fully working 2.3 ROM for our X8
So ...what 2.3(gingerbread) have, that 2.2(floyo) doesent have?

I always recode my music from flac to m4a with aac codec, and the phone can easily play them, no matter which ROM I have on. So I'm not sure if only ginger can play aac. :-/

For me 2.3 seems to be faster, it looks better and has some small improvements, some of them doixanh is trying to port to 2.2.

like doixanh, i think froyo is faster in terms of menu navigation, but i think gingerbread looks better.. that's why i'm loving doixanh's ROM, because it is froyo with gingerbread's look and special features..

and as omap4 is the next platform, woulb be nice to start tweaking on archos device as its the first available with honeycomb 3.2 + omap

Difficulty for developers with Intel's processor

If you don't already know, Amazon's Kindle Fire uses an Intel Atom processor as opposed to an ARM processor used by all other devices listed on this site. So, I want to know: are developers going to faced with a learning curve with this device?
