Just felt like sharing as i have been hoping for this for a while
now can't wait for them to finish 4G
Great Work Cyanogen
Thanks for sharing the news. I for one would love to see HDMI support over 4G, but both would be even better!
I'm still using CM6. I don't like running beta versions. I can't wait for 6.1!!!

well not perfect
it's a speaker icon rather then text (it wouldn't let me add text) but at least it's not chinese
also launcher icon is the HTC radio launcher icon
the apk is not signed nor do i plan on signing it since i made it for personal use
and my signing app was for windows and i just removed windos on my computer and replaced it with linux
install via adb or root explorer (remember to change permissions with explorer)

Thanks a lot. Hey what's that wallpaper if you dont mind.
Does the FM radio only work with headphones?
Been some work on the FM packages today on Github:
FM: New art from HaXzAmaTiC
FM: Fix notification string
FM: Enable Settings menu
FM: Add "about" that links to MIUI
FM: Fix case on strings to match Android convention
Merge "Added Italian translations:" into froyo

Sadly, yes. It also apparently needs Bluetooth to be on.
Can someone post a screenshot of the radio app? I'd like to try something.

Hey guys, I was thinking about contributing something to Cyanogen for a while now so I decided to make a new skin for the radio. It's super rough, details are wonky, buttons are missing, and everything is disproportionate or unaligned; but so far what do ya' think?

I was wondering if anyone could port the multi touch keyboard from the droid X to the eris. if you try the one for the incredible and the droid, it installs but wont open up after changing input method. If you can tell me how to port it, i could also do it myself

Well, i unzipped the apk, and tried looking for an obvious way of changing the resolution of the keyboard (Which im assuming is the problem), but none of the files contain any info of the sort. So im guessing that the "porter" would have to go into every file, and basically recompile the whole thing for the lower res. But im no dev, so i could be wrong!

Seeing as it's multitouch, maybe it lets you hit more than one key at once without screwing up...
http://androidforums.com/htc-droid-eris/109592-droid-x-keyboard-eris.html#post1018179
it works great, i have been using it since yesterday.
It's very accurate too, i haven't had problems like hitting the wrong letters.
Edit: after further investigation, it seems it is not multitouch, however, I'm not sure of the benefits of this already sleek keyboard would gain through multitouch.
Not sure what you mean multitouch works fine for me. You can hit shift and still type letters in capital without issue. Using this and keeping swype around too as it works great.

It's compatible with a stock nonroot eris, which leads me to believe it works on nearly anything because all the required apks are built in, but it should just work by installing it and enabling it in the languages and keyboards setting. If not then

Depending on the build you may also have to select in phone options to allow non marketplace apps to install.

Hmm, I can't get this to work on FroyoStone.
When I open the .apk file it tells me it's already installed, even though I don't have the 3D launcher, and it gives me the option to uninstall. I even tried uninstalling the old package, rebooting and reinstalling the file found here... everything looks the same.

Oh, really?
I thought this was the 3D launcher like you see in Nexus One. You know, the one where the bottom of the list fades away in a 3D manner.
The one on FroyoStone doesn't seem 3D at all, it's just a grid of icons on a black background.

deleting the file would give you trouble turning off your alarm. only a shutdown would turn off the alarm. do you have to do something else for this to be solved?

Did they fix the isues with the stock music player? (problems with large music databases, no .m3u support)
I heard that if you are rooted you can still get OTA updates because you don't change the firmware. Is this true? Because I would like an OTA update to fix my GPS. and i'm simply rooted for wifi tethering.
I noticed everything in the first post plus.
1. Photo Viewer/Gallery shows newest photos first. The way it should have been!
GPS does appear to be fixed. Using GPS Test from the Market I was NEVER able to get more than 2 satellites in use (even though it would see 10 to 12). Right after I updated, I went outside and within 10 seconds GPS Test said it was using 9 out of 10!!!!
Used MyTracks to track me and walked around the campus...it wasn't a perfect track but it was WAY better than before. This was just a short test, but based on what GPS Test is telling me I have to think that it is indeed fixed.
That was my experience. I was rooted via the OCLF app without the lag fix installed. The update installed fine and when it was all done I was still root.

I apologize if this has been discussed, I really did search and only found one place where this was asked, but there was no answer. According to the Samsung 7.7 features page it says this "Mini Apps : Upgraded so you can choose and edit your own Mini Apps tray. You can easily access favorite features such as Calendar, Email, or PenMemo as a pop up over full screen applications. " So obviously my question is this. How is this done? Or is it even possible on my model? Thank you and again sorry of this has already been addressed.
If you look at the bottom bar on your Tab you will see an icon that looks like an upside down 'v'. Click on it and it will bring up your mini-apps tray. You can launch those mini apps over the app you are in.

Ok, didnt think I forgot about you did you? I think this is what your looking for. The edit function shows up when you press the mini apps button. Lower right corner, cant miss it. This is all stock icons with edit function built in. Hope this is what you wanted. I tested this on my rooted stock 6810. Let me know if it works.
PS: For anyone that might want to know how I did it. All I did was use the "layout" folder in the Res folder from the apk that has the edit function. Then rezipped, changed name and permissions, and put back into system/ app.
