hi, I using appbrain and I downloaded a background from them, but where on the phone can I found it?
I want to take a copy of it and save it in my background folder on the sd card.

Thought AppBrain was .. apps?
You have to have the AppBrain app on your phone
Connect and sync.

Yes, I go to the appbrain page select a background and then sync with the phone, but where can I find the backgorund thats dowloaded to my phone?
I will take a backup and change a picture that I downloaded from appbrain

I can't see "BACKGROUNDS" or "WALLPAPERS" anywhere. Are you sure AppBrain has backgrounds to download? - Sure you're not just installing an app named Backgrounds?
If so, start the app and choose a background.

No... appbrain has the possibility to send wallpapers directly to your phone. See the right side of the page when in your application list. I think he wants to know where the image is saved on the phone after receiving. The image does not appear in the gallery.

I'm also trying to find out where the images are saved. Has anyone found where yet?

How to save your home screen?

I have my Nexus rooted, and everytime I update to a different rom, or theme I have to redownload all apps which I just use Linda's app manager for (works well) I never figured out how to use AppstoSD, my main problem is I want to know how to save your home screens so I don't have to REDO everything everytime. It can get quite annoying.... any help would be great.
If you use titanium backup, it saves the data of your apps, so when you restore them, everything is its right place. However for the widgets, it will say "widget not found" in place of where the widget once was. You just need to delete the widget and put it on the homescreen again.
MyBackupPro is also for root now and though I have both, I prefer MBP.
go download an app called "AppBrain" and then go to their site and sign-in/make an account. Sync your apps on your phone to app brain and thats the only app you'll have to install when you wipe the phone. You can also browse the market on their site.

AppBrain is aPITA - you can only install apps one at a time. If you change your settings you can make any apps you download sync with google. If you wipe and sign in it'll start redowloading and installing them

Izmar answered it. If you do a titanium restore, then reboot your phone, all your icons will be placed back to where they were on the home screens when you backed them up.

Uploading multiple photos to FB on GS2

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to upload multiple photos to Facebook from the SGS2, directly from the gallery if possible? I have downloaded an app called Speedy Uploader, but was wondering if there is any way t o do it straight from the gallery.
I use a cool app called 'Speedy Uploader'.
Hope that helps.

Did you even read the post?
OP, there isn't a native way but something like the Speedy Uploader app you're using should allow you to select all the images you like and then use the 'Share' button. That'll stop you having to open a second app.

Gallery

Anyone have any idea how to keep Album and Ebook Covers from showing up in the gallery. Want it to be just my photos etc from cam and downloads but they all show up there in all different folders?
Find where those pictures are stored. Go in that folder and make a new folder call .nomedia
Thanks

I use a great little free app called quickpic which allows you to chose which folders are listed and it loads up large galleries nice and quick.

personally i find the default Gallery app pretty rubbish, it only refreshes content on a reboot for example.
i try and avoid using it as much as possible.

Yes, thats a nice little one.. I just loaded it and it has the exclude in it..
also allows you to backup to the root directry that the offending files are hanging out under..
i.e Books\nonfiction\files.. thus no need to do it individually..
it also works in well with the Picture framer I am using as a widget on one of my home screens..
where I have setup client files for previews.. now I think I just about got the perfect setup for it as a portable
casestudy showcase..so to recap on that..
ESfile explorer - to setup directory links as folders on a home screen
Picture framer to allow 4 large pictures on any one home screen - thus a quick tap takes you in to that themed directry
Quickpic - to run as the main viewer and slideshow engine..

this really isn't the right section for this, u guys gotta stop posting such stuff in dev section. nways, y don't u try mounting the card on pc and do a search with "blogger" as a keyword, just sayin..
If you try disconnetting from internet, you'll notice that those images can't be showed properly. That means that they aren't on the sdcard, but they can be found in your picasa album, in this case, named Blogger. Just log into your web picasa album and delete them.

Thanks a million you just saved me with your reply
This is very simple to do but not anybody knows how...
Removing memory will somehow load it back if u reboot (i think)
The right method is go to setting>application>manage applications>gallery...then simply tap on clear data, it will only come back if u sync picasa on setting>account & sync>your google acc...there's picasa sync option ib there...and it will sync again when u install new rom...

[Q] It seems my Samsung tablet was hit by some kind of malware, how to check?

The symptom is, each time I switch on my tablet, I receive a notification in lower right corner promoting something like lucky draw, game, etc. If I click on the notification, it automatically starts downloading apk. The apk is always named like yyyymmddxxxxxxxxxxx.apk. I never run those apks, I guess they are not friendly. How can I check which app I installed is doing this?

First check what you have installed recently. Could be one of those apps give spam notifications. I saw something similar on my bro-in-law phone and that was because he installed some kind of "enhancement" program to make his phone run more efficient (it didn't help bytheway).
Also, since you didn't say what OS you're running, 4.0+ has the option to disable notifications when you go to settings>applications>app name. If you find its an app you need, then that might help.
If you thinks its beyond this, then install lookout or norton from the market.
It's not malware, they're called push notification ads. Just download "Ad Blocker" (root required) from the market and it will tell you which app(s) is doing this. You can also choose to delete it from within the app.
Pretty handy.

Can you upload a screenshot of this notification ad for us? Maybe even a list of your downloaded apps?

I don't have it now, I will load it when I get it next time.
However I have the list of apps I installed because I sent it to the author of push detector. How can I send it to you? I just don't want to post it here.
I have another finding, which seems odd to me: I set the home page of chrome to be blank, and I double checked that, but each time I open the browser it always opens a search page with a lot of informations (looks like a portal but I don't like it). How can I know which app replaces my home page with such rubish?
Is it possible the 3G provider does this kind of things? (notification ads and home replacement)?

No, your network provider would have nothing to do with push notification ads or homepage replacement. And as for setting your homepage in Google chrome, are you talking about the desktop version? Because I don't believe you can make that selection on the mobile version, unless I'm missing something?
BTW, you can send that list to me in a PM if you'd like.

Try this app, it will tell you every app that has a shady ad network and you can delete it. A friend of mine had an app that was creating a ton of shortcuts all over her home screens.

In Chrome settings you can set your home page. But it seems it's the 3G provider that replaces the home page for me.
I will send you the app list. Thanks.
