[Q] HTC Vogue USB Connection, was working, now its not

Mmkay, well I have the Dual Mount SD Widget and it has worked fine until a week ago. I went into the Device Manager and saw a ADB Interface entry with HTC Dream Composite ADB Interface under it. This is only when it is plugged in. Now I'm not sure if this was the case when it was in working condition. So I tried to uninstall the driver, but it would just loop and not actually do anything. I also disabled it, which worked, but still wouldn't get the computer to recognize the device and mount the SD card. Now I'm guessing they got the driver (Located C:\Windows\System32\android.sys) from the Android SDK. I don't really want to remove the SDK because thats where I get my apps because I don't have a data plan and it's where I get my apps/games. This happened on two systems, both Windows 7. However, one of them dual boots into Ubuntu, and when I tried connecting, it worked flawlessly. This wouldn't be an issue if it wasn't so damn hard installing the SDK onto it. I also have Mac OS X dual booting on my system which I yet have to try.
In short, how can I remove this driver? I'll see if the driver will remove itself using the device manager overnight and see if ti works.
More info about the driver (android.sys):
Driver Provider - Google, Inc
Driver date - 3/10/2010 (so it was recent)
Driver Version - 1.0.10.0
Digital Signer - Not digitally signed

[Q] Ubuntu on my home pc... flashing android from it

Hello,
Ive been on this site for some time now and have flashed countless roms from windows roms, sd android and now, of course, nand roms. I have always had windows on my home pc, but after the experience of going from windows to android, I started looking for something better for my home pc. I ended up wiping windows from my computer and installed Ubuntu, which is smooth, fast and I love it. However, one thing has me stumped. I cant figure out how to get the tools, ex. SYNC, installed on my computer. I am trying to use WINE to accomplish this... anyway, im not an expert, but if someone could just give me a little help, I would appreciate it!!!
I hope i opened this in the right place...
I dont think I need the SYNC program, but when I try to use the DFT flash program, ubuntu says it cant be opened... I dont want to use microsoft windows anymore... help me obi wan...
VirtualBox and install a Windows image. That should probably work.
Not sure about sync, but for flashing, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611433
quote
- Take any "RUU_signed.nbh" from a ship ROM and copy it to SD card.
- Rename it to "leoimg.nbh"
- Reset the device while pressing the volume down button.
Although you probably know about this already

[Q] Dual Boot - Android

Hello
I have a Omnia 2
I installed Froyo 2.2 on the external SD with the dual boot start up. The dual boot is set with Android as default. Everything works ok except for when I switch on the phone it loads a little bit in windows and then to android. Meanwhile until android loads if I get any messages it goes to the windows version :S
The problem is the windows version no longer works as I want it to (I think it got offended) so I can’t really see the messages.
Question: How can I set my phone to load ONLY and directly to Android? So there will be no need of the dual boot and no need to load a bit of windows.
Thank you.
I'm using it exactly as you and I think it's not possiblle.
Dual boot as u expect is not possible, b'coz our Android is not a NAND ROM.
The phone will first boot to Windows Mobile and then the dual boot application will run the Haret file to launch Android.

Question: How do I add hardware drivers to Android for the Yoga 2 1051F?

Hey all,
I have successfully managed to boot the 4.4 R3 efi img file from Android X86 on my 1051F. It's working pretty well, very smooth, but pretty much none of the hardware works (GPS, WIFI, Bluetooth, rotation, sound, etc).
Anyone have any idea how we could fix that? The process for getting it to boot is actually pretty easy. You download the img file from the android x86 site, use Rufus to create a bootable USB key (being sure to set it to GPT for EFI). You then need to disable secure boot on the tablet (instructions found various places on the net if you don't know how), shutdown the tablet, connect the USB key via OTG cable to the tablet, hold the volume up and power on. You will get into the NOVO menu. Once there, select boot menu and boot from the USB key (if it's not listed you probably didn't create the USB key in GPT, or it was detected when you powered on).
In order for it to boot into Android, you'll need a USB keyboard connected to select the android option. Alternately, you can just modify grub.cfg to set a default option and a timeout (which is what I did).
I'd really love it if anyone can provide some input on how to fix the missing drivers. Since the 1050 tablet is basically the identical hardware, I would think it should be easy to get the drivers over to this image, but I just don't know how.
Any help greatly appreciated!
UPDATE: Today I tried and succeeded to get Android 5.1.1 running in the same way. I got the image from the android-x86.net page and it runs very smoothly with working WIFI. Just need to get the rest of the drivers working and add all the google apps (they aren't included in the image).
Hi,
I installed x86 android 6.0 Rc2 on my 1051F too, but I got freeze sometimes Wifi is working....but Screen Rotation Not. Any ideas?

Could you go farther in detail about when it freezes and if it is going into sleep mode and back out?
