Mini Info + LauncherPro Activity = Win - Droid Incredible General

So I have been looking for a solution to the problem that I always seem to have. I want to adjust the volume for say my ringer, but it changes it for my media, or something else.
I came across this, using Mini Info (free from market) and a LauncherPro (also free in market) activity

}
Long press on your home screen, choose Shortcuts, Activities, Mini Info, then choose the one that says: com.dynotes.miniinfo.VolumeControl
Choose a custom name or icon if you want.
Enjoy!

Solid tip thanks

Hide Icon names.

Hey guys,
Is there any way to hide the name of the icon on the "desktop" or "springboard" if you will... They are so unattractive, and hiding the apps names wud sure give it a sexy edge.

You can do this in preferences with Launcher Pro.

I use Better Cut to change desktop icon names. A blank space results in a "no name" icon, like my Uninstaller icon...

So at least that way, I can use the stock UI and get icons w/o names.

Try Lockscreen Widgets or if you can program go to http://android.git.kernel.org, find the stock froyo lockscreen and now you will know how to write your own

[Q] dock

Hello
I have a question. Is it possible to have a dockbar on our x8 that looks like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
And if it is possible, can someone tell me how? (detailed if possible would be nice) =D
Thanks!
Most launcher can do that. If you have the dock image, just set it as custom dock. As for the phone and drawer shortcut, select a blank png.
Look at my signature for an icon thread. You can find similar text icons there.
Cool, but how can i make the phone icon so wide? It seems to me that it takes the space of almost two icons.

Cannot change input method

I cannot change my input method to a new one. I go to locale and text in settings and check the sixaxis controller to on but wheb I try to change input method it will not show up, then the check mark next to they input method I wand disappears. The same thing happens if I try to change to any other keyboard I dl from the market. I'm on thunderhawk 3.3. Idk why this is happening but I just want to be able to change it so I can try out my ps3 controller on my phone. Check out the screen shots for what I'm talking about
Thanks

Click to expand...
Click to collapse
Not exactly restoring to default, depends on you
Open the App tray,
Press menu key
Select edit
Now you can drag icons in and out of the Home Screen Buttons Tray.
Put the ones you want
By default, <phone, Contacts, S-Note, Messaging, and the menu (which you can't change)>
fo finish, just press back.
