The 2.06 ROM. It's a leaked AT&T ROM. I don't have it on my device any more otherwise I'd help out. Sorry..

WTF are you talkin about, its what he asked for.
Anyone else test this out on wm6?
for some reason it isnt changing my bar colors, just the today wallpaper only, but the logo and everything is fine, I dunno why this goob is chimin in out of nowhere to say the theme is unattractive.
The thumbnail is of wm6 I see though, and I can fix thee base hue, Im just wondering.

[Think Tank] LiveWallpapers on legend build

so ive installed livewallpapers on a legend rom for g1, but whenever i try to apply one it freezes.
i was wondering if anyone would like to lend there expertise so that we can get this to work fully.
im pretty sure the only problem is that it may be too big for the g1, so anyone who can edit a .apk send me a pm or comment.
edit: below are images proving i have it installed.
all i get when i click grass is a preview and that white is when i click nexus or anything else.

I wish I could help, I don't know how to open and edit apk files. It's probably the resolution, of the wallpapers. It could also be the drivers in the rom. But I don't know much about the Android rom structure. The live wallpapers work perfectly on my Windows Phone 6.5.5 HTC Touch Diamond, that's running XDAndroid-The same android running on the Droid.

getting live wallpapers was pretty easy to get working on stock 2.1, im trying to get them to work on 2.1 with sense ui

Oh okay. Don't know much about Sense UI. The Droid does not have Sense UI. But do you know anyplace other than the Market to get Live Wallpapers?

i installed them, changed the OP, i just cant apply them to homescreen.

i installed cube wall, and it only gives me a preview, when i apply it, it just goes back to homescreen with previous wallpaper.

How did you get the livewallpaperpicker to work? I tried everything and it would cause the rom not to boot.

i extracted it from a desire rom, it installs no problem, but they dont apply

Can anyone help? I know it's not as simple as dropping a APK and installing.

seconds if you read the whole first post, theres a download apps.zip u flash after the install of it. to get them back.

no, those are for the google apps
its not possible to get sense apps working on an AOSP rom from what i understand.

You are referring to the Sense UI. You must choose a rom that keeps the Sense UI that the Eris comes with.
The Sense-able or Evil Eris roms are ideal, but the Senseless and Cyanogen roms do not include it.
This is the fundamental debate on roms - Sense or No-Sense...

Whoa partner, slow your roll with the hash comments. No need for negativity toward the hard work done by some great devs!
Plus, you are missing the point. The many helpful devs posting above ^ have stated that you cannot install the Sense components onto a non Sense based rom. It just won't happen...

Okay, I apologize if I have offended anyone with my "blue" comment, but personally I enjoy the natural green glow of the android.
Okay, thanks for the clarification. I just wish there was somehow a ROM with everything I want.

there are alot of good sense based roms out there...you just need to use one of those ....and if you are not fond of the colors ...try using a theme to change it up....
but definitely try not to bash someones hard work over something like choice of color.....
other sense based roms (that i can think of right now)

Fresh ----- killer sense based rom and looks cool too even has a dancing Android ....

I wouldn't mind having the widgets from sense personally. I guess you can't have your cake and eat it too.

No sense widgets exactly, but you can grab Beautiful Widgets from the Market which are pretty as well.

I think Beautiful Widgets was actuall y the first thing I paid for on android

I used them before back when I first got my phone. They really seemed to lag me up. I might give them a shot again when I install White Widow/Senseless.

For those that don't want Sense

So the best android build so far is defintely is the Stone series w/ Sense IMO. But if you don't want the Sense home screen just install Launcher Pro from the market. Then disable Sense, click the menu (windows) button, choose Applications, choose manage application, find Sense and clear defaults. Click the home button and you will be prompted to choose a launcher, select Launcher Pro. Done.
You still have the HTC keyboard and dialer, which is what I prefer, you cannot use HTC widgets, but lose the HTC Launcher. Best of both worlds for myself.

im pretty sure people know that already, but they dont like the menus and stuff (like me) i like clean, stock android, i only fornicates with Sense on the Hero, Legend, or Desire.

I'm sure "Most people" don't know about Android after just coming over from WinMo. Just sharing what I just figured out and there is no faster/ stable build to choose from.

is there a way to install a sense build and change the apps loader to something like launcher pro and at the same time use the widgets such as friendstream and news fro htc sense?
i would like that to very much happen but was unable to do so when i tried it on a sense build..

is there a way to change the people app to the default froyo contacts?

Ya i mean the UI but i got it but where to get the widgets, is quite hard...

Its fun to try, but I agree. LauncherPro is true awesomeness!

Why do people want crap on their awesome phones? Sense is x100 better than touchwiz (any version) LOL

I had TouchWiz running on it, but the app drawer eats the last line of icons on every page and i don't know how to get the icons away from there. I might try to look into the apk, maybe there are settings to change.
