I am selling my HTC Hero since my Samsung Galaxy Captivate is on the way.
I had flashed a Custom ROM and was using ROM Manager to flash. Unfortunately, during the wiping effort, I also wiped the SD card with the custom ROM on it (trying to do things too fast I suspect).
Anyway, the device boots and runs fine but I'd like to tell the new owner which Custom ROM is installed. Is there a way to tell?
Firmware version: 2.1-update1
Baseband version: 63.18.55.06DAU_6.35.08_20
Kernel version: 2.6.9-063c4d24
Build Number: 3.32.405.1 CL191507 release-keys
Software number: 3.32.405.1
Browser version: Webkit 3.1
Boot the phone up as normal then press the Menu Key > Settings > About Phone and scroll down to the bottom. There should be a Mod Version title there and it will tell you what custom ROM you have installed.
Model Number: GT-I5510M
Android Version: 2.2.2
Baseband Version I5510UGKC5
Kernel version: 2.6.32.9-perfopac110 pac110-desktop #1
Build Number: FROYO.UGKC5
Current Firmware version: PDA:KC5 / Phone:KC5 / CSC:KC5
Carrier: Bell Mobility Canada
I have my phone rooted via SuperOneClick, have been trying to put a custom rom onto my phone with no luck. I cannot find a CF-Root for my phone. CWM Recovery does not list my device while trying to install either.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
Your device is NOT a Galaxy SII which is an I9100 or I9100M for Bell. I am not even sure what model that is as it is also not even a Galaxy S Vibrant which is an I9000M...
Sorry man, but that's not a Galaxy S II, Bell calls it a "Galaxy 551". Wrong forums.
Sent from my GT-I9100M
Your phone is not a Galaxy S 2. You have a Galaxy 551 or also known as the Galaxy Callistro. You need to find the relevant ROM for the phone. Don't flash any Galaxy S 2 ROMs on it!
Thanks guys, I feel like an idiot for not even noticing

Then you're better off posting and asking in the relevant section of the forums (for your phone), non?

Well, you just take the cake don't you? The answer you are seeking is on the same page just above your post in threefold but without looking or reading you just post away. How do you expect to find any answers when you don't read?
There doesn't appear to be a forum for this device on xda (see this thread)
Nevertheless, it's not a Galaxy S II, so thread closed.
Hi guys, i just got my Galaxy Tab I/O Limited Edition 32GB Wifi only..
Model Number: GT-P7510
Android Version: 3.1
Kernel Version: 2.6.36.3 [email protected] #1
Build Number: HMJ37.UEKG4.P7510UEKG4
how do i see if this is rooted or not?
Can i flash custom roms? sorry to ask, but im a newbie in this. seems confusing ...
Hi mate.
I'm new to all this myself.
First you need to root your device:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1239185
Then you are ready to flash a new rom. I used the task650&phantom rom and I'm going to use the pershoot kernel when I find out how to do it.
Here's the rom:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1284355
My advice is to just take your time, do a bit of research and follow the steps carefully. Oh and back up.
Off the top of my head you will need the following apps: RomManager, titanium back up and titanium back up pro.

A quick way to see if its rooted (doesn't always confirm if you've moved files and/or apps around) is to look at your apps list for "Superuser".
If its there and you didn't put it there, you're probably rooted.

No probs. I'm sorry I haven't got a clue how to help you with that,
I'm sure someone on here will though.
Anyone has any idea how? Im stuck on the Fastboot , couldnt get on CWM after flashing via odin.

Not to sound like a total jerk... But i recommend that you read and read ana read and watch many vidoes before you start flashing/rooting/modding/hacking/whatevering...you will thank me for this later when you DONT screw up your device... There are a few guides within this forum that are decent... Still not noob friendly like they should be but after some good reading i think you can get the hang of it...
First off, I'm still new to this, and bought this phone. I want to root it and use custom roms. However, i have read it needs unlocked, it doesn't need unlocked, it's needs a bootstrap, it doesn't need a bootstrap.
So i am asking for one thread, that will tell me exactly how to root it, get a custom rom, and where to get the roms.
here is the info on the phone:
Android version: 4.1.2
Baseband Version: SM_BP_101032.020.32.78P
Kernel Version: 3.0.31-g101ca72
Build number: 9.8.1Q-78
Build date Fri May24 14:13:53 CDT 2013
thanks in advance

1. Try to match your baseband with your build number (Flashing the latest android 4.4.2 firmware)
2. Take a look this GUIDE.
