App menu screen rotated.. - Droid Incredible General

Hello sorry if this question has been answered but I couldn't find it ...
My question is I've noticed on some roms when u hit the application button and turn ur screen the apps turn wit u.. this also goes for apps like launcher pro etc.
What I wanna know is can I get that function on my skyraider 3.2 wit sense running kings cfs kernel? I like that function but don't like using launcher pro or stearing away from sense roms.. that's for any help that's giving...

I would like this option too!

That would have to be a feature enabled for the HTC_Sense launcher. Seems your only options are to ask ihtfp69 to modify the app on the skyraider ROM or hope that HTC changes it on a future release (or use another launcher that already supports landscape view).

Launcher Pro and FroYo

Hello.
I am about to update to FroYo.
Is it ok to use Launcher Pro with FroYo?
I have read somewhere that HomeSwitcher does not work with FroYo. Is that true? If so, how do you change your Home Launcher?
Thanks,
Paulo
JPM with launcher Pro works without any issue for me.
The best thing is try it yourself.

I'm not on Froyo yet. Still waiting for it to be released via Kies in my region. Currently, I removed LauncherPro from being the default home launcher whenever I need to connect to Kies. It is under Settings->Applications->Manage applications->LauncherPro->Clear defaults.
After the default is cleared, just press the Home button and you will be prompted which launcher you want to use.
To change launcher without homeswitcher (or to be more correct get back the "choose switcher"), go into settings - programs - admin - find launcherpro and clear the default choice that I've forgotten the name of. Emtpy standards or something like that, bottom choice in my language.
Launcher pro + Froyo = super fast screens. Indeed for me Froyo is very fast.
homeswitcher works for me on Froyo, no problems with it.
i dumped Launcherpro for Zeam because Zeam seems to be faster in Froyo
And Kies works and connects with Launcher Pro, no need to switch to TouchWiz for that. At least if using JP6.

Launcher pro = missing HTC widgets

Is there way around loosing all of the HTC widgets when installing launcher pro.....namely the beautiful widget?
I have the beautiful widget .apk but I don't think it will work as well as the mt4g stock version.
Also, I had to un install launcher pro to go back to using the sense UI. I tried using home switcher without any luck.

I think the stock HTC widgets will not work as they require HTC framework and code in the Launcher to utilize it. i.e. you have to use Espresso Launcher for them to work.
As for installing and uninstalling Launcher Pro... I have no idea as I use ADW and can freely switch, although I never do.
Thanks.... wish the "faves" button and the "genious" button could be changed..... a side from those "features" I don't mind the sense UI.

If all else fails you can always clear defaults in settings.
Menu -> settings -> applications -> manage applications -> all -> (find your current launcher) touch it -> press the "clear defaults" button
The above also works for your internet, messaging, etc
-Cheers

The old fancy widget looks exactly like the htc clock. That's why they had to change it. Its easy to find on the net.
Doesn't do the flipping action like the HTC one does. In fact, I believe only the newest versions of the HTC clock actually flip. I ran the HTC flip clock on my Desire ported ROM on the N1 and it didn't flip there either.
Thanks.
Not only does the newest HTC clock flip, when it rains a windshield wiper wipes your screen. When it's cloudy your screen clouds up. Pretty neat effects i thought.
I .got over it though. Ive had weatherbug elite for a while so im back to using it with launcher pro and aquarium live wallpaper.
I like a nice clean screen..... so those large iphone like icons combined with no customizable dock had to go.

Beautiful Widgets are the exact same thing. Clock and the Weather animation. Comes on everytime you unlock also.
The newest FancyWidget Pro is the closest thing I've found to replacing the HTC Clock Widget. FancyWidget Pro is awesome though! Super customizable and it can display the battery percentage right on the widget! I've switched to LPP and FW instead of mySense. Only thing LPP needs now is a News/RSS widget and it'll beat Sense hands down!

looks good. Will definitely try it.
And feels good to see some activity from India
I've just tried it and it's working great! The animations look great!! Good work!!!
But I have one problem and one suggestion though:
1/ The sync button (stat_sync_on.png) on the notification area is black whereas the others are white
2/ I've seen on some Gingerbread screens that the menu (the one that pops up on the bottom of the screen when you hit the menu button on your phone) was black/transparent, is it possible to do it?

If NO -> Great job nontheless..!
If YES -> Where should I put the files and install them in my Milestone? Where do I choose it so I can use it? (I have never used a Theme before..)

I based it on the cm6.1 framework. I think frameworks are rom specific. I never tried on a different rom.

That is awesome! Thanks lalit79 for this theme!
The gingerbread animation ported to this mod is smooth and beautiful.
May I ask to combine this into the best theme I can imagine (yes!)? Can you add the notification bar icon for battery from Manup456 The EVO Collection (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=736487) it is ported to CM6.1 mod in HO!NO! mod here (http://forum.xdsa-developers.com/showthread.php?t=849676). That graphic is the best I ever seen and it's in the same colour (black-green) as gingerbread theme. So combining these things will be the best theme (plus black-green keyboard)!
Can you do this for us? Thanks in advance!
And once again congrats for this incredible theme!
Thanks lalit79, theme looks great!

just one question..how to make the notification power switch buttons green?
on cyanogenmod they're blue and they look pretty bad with the black-green gingerbread theme.
plus...is it possible to add this awesome animation?

Sense disabling Launcher Pro plus

heya, just threw Android Revolution on yesterday (LOVING it!), and got all my apps back, had launcher pro plus running alongside Sense (but wasn't actually using Sense, and hadn't chosen a default as yet..), today for sh*ts and giggles I chose Sense for a compare, and now I cannot get back to Launcher!
any ideas? i have tried reinstalling launcher, no good. I have tried closing Sense process down, no good. It just restarts.
When im hitting the home button I'm not getting the option to choose Launcher Pro or Sense anymore.
Any ideas? Really want Launcher Pro back as its the shiz.
Don't know if the sense process is listed since I use cyanogen mod. Try menu, settings, manage apps, look for sense , select it, and clear data
Swyped from my Desire HD using Tapatalk
Go to applications look for HTC sense and do not clear data look for clear defualts that will lift the option of sense being defualt home app

You may try an apps called "Home Switcher" and switch it back to LauncherPro

Notification bar

Hi
Im currently using elelinux 2.1 sense update 1 ROM and i was just wondering if you could get the power widgets in the notification bar like it was in froyo?
Can this be done?
Thanks
Same question...............
There's an app in the linked thread thats quite similar, dont know if it works on 2.1 but it's worth a try!!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1037817
Hope this helps
you could try out quick settings its an app you can download from the market it worked well for me when i was using sense 2.1
i've used both Quick Settings and Notification Toggle.
For me, best solution was NT as i was used to notification widgets form 2.3 roms. Use both and check which suits you better
