Hi, Folks,
I'm searching for a software to read the incoming SMS like the Blue&Me® by Fiat/Microsoft do.
I've found this app (TellMeText 1.1.0), but it has only one language (US English), and the language file is compiled with the executable app.
Anyone knows a app to do this function and a way to use the Gabriela Voice (Pt-BR) from iGo or something like this?
Thanks in advanced
Microsoft Voice Commander can do what you want (read out SMS), do a search for the cab.
this belongs in the Q&A section
thank you
Hi,
the default language in my phone is english but i live in an area where all the street names are in french. So when i try to search anything around me in voice search, it doesnt find it since the default voice search is in english.
Is there a way i can keep my phone in english but my voice search and texting in french??
Thank you
Been trying to get this to work on my Nexus S, whenever I used the voice search facility to send a text or email, it just took me to the internet search page.
Anyway I am based in the UK and by default my Language is English (UK).
You have to change your default, go to: Settings/Voice input&output/Voice recognizer settings and change your Language to English (US). and it now works perfectly!
Hope this helps...
i'm having problems getting most of these to work. if i say "listen to [artist]" then instead of playing, it's off to do a google search for "listen to [artist]"... so is it early days for google voice at the moment? the only one that works for me is "directions to ...", "navigate to..." sometimes works
I thinks its play [artist] bit I believe panadora starts up anyway
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App

yeah, just done some research, and it seems pandora, rdio have the listento command, as to spotify. of course i can't access the first to, and i don't want a premium account for spotify.
after reading about the intent the voice command triggers, it may (albeit with some degree of error) be possible to use voice commands to play local music with a few lines of code!
infact these voice actions DO for me:
Map of (place)
Navigate to (place)
These DO NOT:
go to (website)
note to self (message)
those that do not redirect to google search, not picking up on the keyword trigger I have tried my voice and others too.
haven't tested anything else yet as no sim!
EDIT: after checking the "Help" of the voice actions on the phone, the only voice actions listed are: "navigate to", "directions to", "map of", "call" and "web search"
where are the others?
what a bugger! open voice actions, click menu button, settings, then set the language to english (united states)
those above only work with english (uk)
when english us is chosen, you get more commands available to you. i'd be interested as to know why...

Tested right now. All 4 of those listed work on my Nexus S i9020. Android 2.3.2.
glad you got it
If anyone here had a problem, such as myself, where when you ask google now voice search a question, but it doesnt reply to you through speech, the fix that worked for me is setting the default language of the phone to English Us, and then a synthesized voice will start answering you quetions, such as will it rain tomorrow? =)
