Here's you my last rom, I hope you like it, this is the lightest rom than I'm able to do, it's basic and fast. It contains ezinput keyboard as in all my roms. almost all packages come from HTC mega and jade. unfortunately I can no longer pursue this project because my opal is dead, I thank you all for using my roms, I find it very satisfying.

separate ezinput cab
hey there, i'm just wondering if you could get me the ezinput cab that you've used here? i was hoping to run it on my device..i used the stock cab from mega/jade (i'm forgot which one) and it froze my device

I don't use a cab, I use an ext package from mega's rom....

Yes those problems has been solved in this version. Now the phone doesnt hang and its working very well. Just wanted to know one thing that this is a windows 6.5 version but it contains dialer similar to that of 6.5.3 version.

I believe that the default dialer is the same for both wm6.5 and 6.5.3.....

your device freezes because you try to install an ezinput keyboard in a rom that have another ezinput inside... so if i create a cab with ezinput from mega you will find the same problem...

Hi, I've installed your latest ROM.. it looks like that battery management is a worse respect to RC ROMs.. is it possible? Have you set the same configuration or it is different?
Another question: why did you put on first post links to jvm-javafx and also to jvm6? What is the difference? Should I install both?
Anyway, thanks for the good-good work you've done, advise us when you'l buy your next phone.. we'll get the same!

umm..actually I'm using jagan's evolution ultimate β and he didn't include ezinput in there. i'm still having my doubts if i'm gonna try your 21697 build

in 21916 build the lock screen volume buttones are locked...
I've just flashed a Hong Kong 1.27.XXX Rom into yours
Everything works just fine!
AND IT IS INCREDIBLY FAST!
Just one thing, why does the camera's image looks so green?
Also, SPB Mobile Shell crashes frequently.(3D menu, launcher)

Is there a way to add more languages to ezinput. I want to add the portuguese T9 dictionary but can't find a way to do it.

Hey I've tried that 21697 build and I found these:
-volume buttons really work while locked, is there a fix for this?
-I installed M2D2 from here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=541750) and whenever I open a text message from the messaging tab, it opens the message in single message view instead of threaded view. How can I make it work to open on a threaded view?
-I can't see who's calling whenever I get a call, just the a white screen with gray box and a slider below

I have deleted some, added some.
I left out TomTom this time, but will add in final release, I also left out opera, but I might bring that back later on.

hm, I added the hide sim in my rom, It worked for my kaiser and my herald, but its obviously diffrent in polaris..
tell me whats the reg edit, and I will add it in next release
I use the Kaiserfix too some times, sometimes it works sometimes not. Dont no why

*edit: rom is very fast and seems to run without any bugs... settings/device information says: rom version m-anime 2... for the cooker maybe change that with r2 release!

HR mean Hard Reset and you can do an hard reset by pressing red button, green button and soft reset button on the back.
About XIP and SYS i dont know... but i think they are some part of the rom

I installed this release normally, no HR was required.

I had a problem... the connection manager said No Service, no way to collect to the line. I had to return at the version 16...
dear aiyaz i downloaded the file but iam unable to install it kindly render ur help.
it says the the file is encrypted wen i run it on the computer.
but wen i run it on my htc touch opal it says first run the specific application and install the file.
I feel this rom a little faster than v16. What differences are between v16 and v17 beside the manilla 2d inside this version???
SOMETIMES AFTER INSTALLING PROGRAMS THE TODAY SETTINGS STOP WORKING. ONLY SHOWS THE "SETTINGS" TITTLE IN THE TOP BUT I CAN'T SWITCH TODAY PLUGINS AND I HAVE TO HARD RESET BUT THEN AGAIN, AFTER A FEW MINUTES OF INSTALLING, THE SAME THING!!

actually, theres a newer version, v20, flash that version instead... v19 has quite a lot of bugs, like the icons are retarted (i really mean tht).. i havent got the time to flash v20 but i can live with v19...

As seen on the pic the HTC Touch 2 will have Meteo. I know there is a Mega ROM running around, but it is not like this. Anybody seen something like this around?

It's nice but on new WM6.5 releases the bottom bar is too big and no transparent with Manila, so I don't like it too much.
afaik there isn't a rom available with the new version of M2D as of yet,
there are a lot of dependencies to run the new version of M2D.
plus also the cpu load goes up to 60% at times.
anyone know which build of 6.5 the touch2(mega) uses?
EDIT: i'm trying to cook some of the packages into a rom but i keep hitting some pitfalls. i'm keep working on it, and i'll post ifo up here when i do, now i have everything i need (including a shiny new kitchen that works )
"miri" has cooked Manila v2.5 for Rhodium & Blackstone ROMs based on WM6.5 build 21859.
manila 2.5 is TouchFlo3d and not 2d which the elf uses (and also the touch2)
there are no direct3d drivers available for the elf to use TF3d at the present moment, i doubt there ever will be anyway but i may be wrong.
Ooops, sorry. I thought you were looking for a cooked version of the latest Manila 2D using the newer WM6.5 builds.

I tried to install this manila into a fresh installed Onyx 5.2.1 but it gets stuck on "tap this screen to lauch touchflo"
In which ROM this manila works on?
I am running it on the PDAVIET V83.... it is smooth and I have not seen any bug
I succesfully instaled latest build M2D with animated clock on ElF with ONYX5.2, yes its very nice. Problem is that is very hungry for memory and now I have ONYX5.2.1 without Manilla

I have an ELFIN, Running Onyx 5.2.1. It runs....decent, Hopefully someone who can cook will optimize the graphics and stuff to make it run better.
Install the "base" Manila 2.0 files, and then click on the Geolocation files.
It should run fine.
My mem is at 48%, not bad, considering i have up Funcontact and SMS Chat as well.
Again, if anyone wants to tackle optimization for the ELFin of the MEGA files, please let us know.
Also, I will soon test this on other ROMS, I always go back for Onyx, they are so complete. I do notice that on the ONYX there is a lag with the EZ Input keyboard, and vibration doesnt work on that either.
I will soon try a very base ROM and add these files.

I got it to work. It was my mistake actually, I forgot to install one component of the basic ones to make it work. Its running fine now!

Hello,
It put it in a 6.1 windows mobile ROM inside HTC ELFIN
It works almost everthing
The very problem is with the touch interface
The MANILLA cannot deal in some tabs with the missing of 6.5 gui.
so, the touch clicking and touch scroling(if you click in launcher to add a program the device will point but click wont work)
Any fix for it?

I got vibration working with that EzInput, you have to set a registry variable. Don't have the setting with me right now though.
Totally agree! Wish there will be WM6.5 with optimized Manila 2.0. I have Onyx 5.2.1. and so far it works OK...except known issue weather on home screen. Hope see soon that kinda rom

So Paul, still 'hooked' to M2D like me? I like what S.V.I is working on to make the new version lean. Have you tried it yet? Would probably test it if I decide to reflash this weekend, Atm, won't install since it will slow down Elfin unless I reflash. Smaller Manila by S.V.I

You must use a 2.07, 2.08, 2.10, 2.11 or 2.12 radio for this ROM (links in post #2). It must installed BEFORE flashing this ROM.
Please use TASK 29 before flashing and do a hard reset after flashing.

Just out of interest, why did you disable 3G by default? Next-G has better coverage than Telstra's GSM, so I would imagine most subscribers would preferentially use 3G.

I don't use it so I didn't enable it. I'll be sure to make sure it's enabled in the next release

lol...I actually agree. There is a reason for it. I added the 3G icon to the Comm manager, but it is set to off by default. So on first boot, 3G was enabled, but the switch was set to off...this was too confusing and I wasn't happy with it.
its something I hope to fix in the next release for sure

I haven't included copilot. And to be honest I've never used the Navi panel. It is included in the ROM but I'm not sure how its working. I'll need to look into it.
The band on your phone is in the hardware...if your phone works now as it is, it will still work with other ROMs
Welcome to the forum. I have just downloaded your ROM. It is nice to have a Rom that is clean and fast. There should not be so many applications. Should be 135-145mb in size and could be downloaded in a friendly site. Not Hotfile or Rapidshare. Hope you enjoy your stay here. Happy cooking

I'll release an updated ROM tomorrow with proper Landscape integration...the cab I posted won't support landscape wallpaper. I have it all sorted now.

I test it and really close to stock ROM which is great, some features very usefull like four shortcuts on home screen, and all the teaks that anyone needs for making HD2 one of the best PocketPC in the world!
The thing i found as little disturbing is a graphic issue, that was present when first custom ROMs came out, and that is the little green balloon with the number for unread e-mails is behind the account selector!

copy to windows and reset. not my file and can't remember where i got it. but works ok.
