I start up Titanium Backup and it asks me for superuser permissions.
Ok, that's weird. I click accept.
What? It pops up again? Ok, I'll click it again.
**** STOP POPPING UP.
Uninstalls and reinstalls don't fix the problem. I've removed it altogether.
If you didn't catch onto what the problem is, it keeps giving me the popup asking for superuser permissions and as soon as I click accept, a new one pops up.

It seems that you may be blaming he wrong culprit. You may have s problem with busybox or superuser.

Actually, one of them isn't working fine, as evidenced by your current problem.
Your issue is one that's not uncommon with superuser.

I'm glad you got your problem fixed, but you are being kind of rude to najaboy who is only trying to help you. Your sentence says that busybox/su "work fine" which is to say that they have in the past and continue to work correctly now and implies that your problem is not a symptom of those programs malfunctioning because it just started today. To which he responds that based on your symptoms that is indeed the problem. And you respond with an insult and then proceed to say reinstalling the apps fixed your problem, all but totally confirming his diagnosis.
In any case, thanks najaboy, I have been running into similar problems with my friend's moto droid and this gives me a place to start.
Further into the sentence I had another detail, specifically about time, but whatever, its fixed for the time being.

i'm not rooted. i was just using the phone normally and then it randomly rebooted. now it's stuck in a loop.
do you guys think if i apply a manual non-rooted update it would fix the problem?
if yes, where can i get a link to download this?
RUU
You should try running any of the stock RUU's; maybe even the most recent one (although I make no warranty; and this is at your risk). Perhaps your reboot loop is a heat related issue due to a faulty radio which is working too hard.

has the RUU's although it is not clear as to how long.
I am on my 2nd incredible; first one overheated and would then would do a 4-13 white screen / black screen / white screen / ... until it would move on.

Welp
While it may not help you, it can't hurt to say. I was having huge reboot issues ... highest number was 13 initial white screen / black screen cycles. I could also NEVER get into Recovery (I could get into HBOOT but when I chose recovery, it would do TWO reboots, the second being full). A battery pull was usually needed.
However, the one thing that allowed me into recovery, etc., was to let the phone charge overnight to 100% and let it be. In the morning, the phone was charged and cool. At that point, I could easily get into recovery, start up, etc.
While I am sure you have tried this; just wanted to note to make sure your phone is cool and you did a battery pull for at least 10 minutes.
I too have this issue
I also have a stock incredible that I bought second hand, which when i bought it, I checked to make sure the device was ok. When I activated it like 2 minutes later it entered a reboot loop. I thought it might be a botched PRL so I went to the Verizon Rep (I met the seller at vz store) and he performed a forced activation. It continued the reboot loop so I took it home. I noticed that if I was outside or near a window, the phone would act normally. I used this discovery to root it and install a recovery. I flashed a few kernel/rom/radio combinations including stock rooted but there was no luck. I flashed back to RUU and it continued to reboot loop. The next day I reversed the activation back to my Eris. 20 minutes later the phone is perfect. I reactivated the device and it commenced rebooting immediately. I took it back to the store and they noted the same behavior. I'm pretty sure it's a faulty radio but since it wasn't activated on the original # they couldn't warranty it. They did tell me if the original owner activates it, they will warranty it so were gonna do that. I hope nobody else has this issue, but if you have this problem, try RUU, and if that doesnt fix it, it's likely hardware failure
This may be a little trivial, but it has been driving me crazy since day one. I have posted in other forums, but not one person seems to have this issue I guess. Anyway, I was downloading an app from the market when my battery door came off. Now that app continues to try and download even though it's already installed. I've tried uninstalling, refunding and nothing works. It's always in the status bar every couple of minutes. I don't want to flash another build to get rid of it just for that reason. Anyone???

Unfortunately, it's just one of the known marketplace bugs. Like you said, it's not a massive problem. It works for me a lot of the time, then just doesn't, other times.

Yeah im surprised they haven't sorted it out yet, it's not a major problem but it would be cool just to click on update all instead of having to spend over 30 minutes updating them all one by one, oh well im sure it'll be resolved in time.
I'm running stock, unrooted Froyo 2.2.
Last couple of days nearly every text message I send says "Failed." I have to send texts four, five, six or mroe times before it goes through without an error. However, even though it says failed not all are failed. Out of five attempts the recipient might recieve anything from one copy to all five copies.
Very frustrating to both me and my recipients. (This problem is not specific to certain people.)
Does anyone have a suggestion as to what I can do to fix this?
TIA

There's nothing you can do to alleviate the problem, we've been advising customers to be patient. The problem arose due to the connection going down between two major routing stations. Don't know why it happened, could be weather related

Do you have an ETA? This is a serious problem, SMS reliability is more important than voice for me. I'm sure I'm not alone in that.

Sorry for the delay. Yes I work for sprint as a tech. So my info is limited.
Yes, it is a known issue. It was passed along the company intranet yesterday and popped up on every computer as an alert. We, the techs, were also consulted immediately on the problem via email by our service and repair director.
Now, as far as I was told today... it's hard to answer. yes, the issue is resolved. But the symptoms are still present for some users. One thing you have to keep in mind is that not only did sms go down, but so did our data provisioning. So there's probably a lot of stuff backed up right now. Hence, the sporadic problems.
EDIT: as far as ETA, obviously that's a little hard to answer as well.

Very much appreciate the info.
I can say that the text messages I've sent since my last post a few hours have gone through without a hitch. However, earlier today I had a few hour window where everything was working normally and I thought everything was back to normal but the problems cropped up again.
Hopefully this time everything is back to and the problems are gone. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
Thanks again.
I just saw this thread and checked my texts, I'm able to receive texts but the ones I sent out up to 6 days ago haven't been sent. This issue has definitely not been resolved. This is a huge problem, and without this thread I would have never noticed it. I tried all the fixes mentioned and nothing. MEHHHH
Edit: I'm in the NYC area.

First line of the thread "I'm running stock, unrooted Froyo 2.2."
What data and cache did you clear? I prefer not to wipe out all my SMS messages. Especially since there's no guarantee that'll fix anything.
I updated my PRL today, no surprise but that didn't help matters.
The user who works for Sprint says that as of last night there is a known technical problem here. Hopefully he'll update this thread when the problem's been fully resolved. Then I'll know if there's an issue with my handset.
Today it seems like every text reports as Failed but recipients are still getting them. But it's still a crapshoot when your phone tells you the text failed. I hate this...
I didn't realize you were the OP til after I posted.lol
I wiped all cache and data in CWM(purple) and reflashed. I used MyBackup Pro before wiping and backed up my call log, mms, sms, etc. After reboot I restored everything, and all the texts that were stuck on "sending" were now all sent.
I had this same problem when I first got my phone 4 months or so ago.
I found that for whatever reason I could send and receive messages if I turned the "Data Network Mode" off. 3G would not connect, but 4G would and all of my messages sent no problem.
I'm not a real network savvy guy, and I have no clue why I ever even considered doing it. Probably just messing with all of the phone settings to see what might happen, and it worked for me. Give it a shot.
Don't know how I did it. But it's possible.
Small changes.
Proof that Xposed can work. The key is do a soft reboot. Hope this helps.

No clue. All I know is that I did soft reboot after installing the frame work. After that every thing fell into place. I do not suggest hard boot. It might not stick.
From how I understand it, unless you put xposed into the system img and flash it, like the guide instructs, the system will eventually overwrite all changes xposed makes.
What you're doing now will work temporarily and not after a hard reboot as your finding. Having it in the system solves that.
correct
