All of a sudden for some odd reason, my Sprint TP2 has been alerting me that I have a new text message. I get the little green circle with the number 1 in it, alerting me that I have an unread text message when all of them have been opened and read. I've tried soft resetting and nothing. I've tried clearing my inbox/sent items/deleted items thinking it was full or clogged but still nothing. I have no idea why it started doing this. Its just annoying having my phone vibrate every 5 minutes with my ReRemindv7 app. Anybody have a solution to this besides hard resetting?
what i have found to work to solve this is... have somebody text you. but before they do. have microsoft's messager open. (aka start menu -> text). when you get the text message. it will be bold. open it. ...works for me. in ridding of the notification for a text that isnt there. hope it helps you. as well.

When I copy the link into my browser I'm asked to input a username and a password. I insert my xdadevelopers info. Then I get a message saying 530 Permission denied.

That's the thing, I check in my contacts and nobody has an unread message. Its just thinking that I have an unread message when everything is empty. And when I do get one text message it says that I have 2 unread messages. And this is only with sms, not email. Email is fine. This is just too weird and annoying.

and the invisible text disappeared.

have that person text you. reply.
there text to you should still be bold.
select it. bold should go away.
and the invisible text...
...just realized. that the invisible text i had.
came back. doing that made it disappear.
hasnt come back.

I got a small problem, basically awhile ago, i received an sms, and i read it, but did a soft reset shortly after, anyways, when it booted back up, it still said 1 unread sms on my today screen, and so i went into my inbox, and couldn't find it.
Since then, i've cleaned up my entire inbox, but my today screen still says 1 unread message.
Is there anyway, i can have it back to normal? So it says 0 unread sms's without doing a hard reset?
It might be an undeleted Notification Que. Have you tried Check Notifications by scarybear to clean it up. Here: http://scarybearsoftware.com/ppc_cn_overview.html

Neat lil program, but still saying one unread!!! This thing is really frustrating me.
I remember I had a similar problem but on a different phone. Basically, did you transfer and use your SIM on another phone? If your answer is YES, just plugged the SIM back in to the other phone and delete the unread message. Then return the SIM to your Universal, and you won't have the unread message anymore. This worked for me, I hope it would worked on yours too.

That wasn't the case, but i decided to try the sim in another phone...
No msg's on it
Now this stupid thing, is really starting to annoy me.
I had that problem months ago. You pocket outlook database is corrupt. I fixed it using a little sprite backup utility that recovers the databases.........

What do you mean exactly? I havn't made a backup of anything really... and i really don't want to hard reset my device...
I know but this little program fixes poom db....
In case you have not tryed the obvious first....do this.
Open up you inbox, then in the top right hand corner there is a drop down "Sort by menu".... make sure that you have "Recieved" selected there.
Hope that does it for ya.

Lol, that how i always have it sorted out, anyways, i actually went as far as deleting every txt msg i had, and it still stayed there!!

Is there a way to disable the soft keys on the keyboard of the P4350? i press the send button quite often when typing an sms, because it's so annoyingly close to the R and T. i've been looking for a solution for quite some time, but all i can think off right now is getting a new set of fingers, a smaller size

haha same problem here last weekend i needed 5 sms messages to send about 150 caracters

Try softkeychanger, found in the "usefull cab files" post. Not sure it will work, butt it's better then nothing
The softkey changer will only change your softkeys on the today screen.
It's probably a registry setting somewhere in the ARCSoft composer software... if its even in there and not built into the actual exe or something.

It won't help if you press reply like I do with most of my messages since they're to my fiancee and she's always in my inbox as I never delete messages... but it's a great tip for normal people. lol

I'm having the same problem. When I'm composing a new message I wait indeed to put in the recipient until I send the message. When I'm sending a reply, I'm never thinking about removing the recipient and re-entering it afterwards, help would be welcome ;-)
I hear you guys- I'm generally hitting Reply on SMS messages. I am hoping that it is some Registry setting that could be tweaked. I'd love to make it "spell check" or toggle delivery receipt notification or something.
I suppose another option is to use a 3rd party SMS app, but I like the default one so I'm hoping someone finds a hack at some point...

Im having an issue with my threaded text, before today i was able to send out 'mass text' (more then one recipient) without any issues or problems. Today i tried and failed. I can still put the contact names in the ("To:") section but when i send it only sends the message out to ONE of the contacts...??? ive soft reset, powered down, still nothing...any ideas??? any help would be awesome texting is a way of li(f)e for me. -Thanks

The Touch HD is my third HTC phone, and it's just so friggin' awesome. But I have one problem.
When i'm texting with a few friends, it's very rare that i go to the TF3D and read the message. I'd rather just leave the phone in "messages".
The problem here is that when i'm done, I'll have like 18 unread messages, and i'll have to go to the TF3D and go through all 25 messages that show up, and wait until they are marked as read.
So, my question is: Is there any way to mark all messages as read?
I tried the search function, but unfortunately nothing helpful came up.

It's only on the tab at the bottom, no sign of it anywhere else, always shows one more e-mail than I have.
Have tried turning Sense off and on, turning sense off and rebooting phone, ... all the usual stuff!

Ok what happened is the reg that shows the message count is stuck, the exe that I posted will reset the reg to show 0
I've tried it twice, but I'm still left with the notification for the extra e-mail
Ah... fixed! Someone on a forum I'm not allowed to link to posted this:
"Have you recently added a new email account or set up a new exchange sync? I found when I did this there'd be a message from MS about 'email tips' would magically appear. It appearred as a 'read' message but still added a count of 1 to the 'unread' . If it's there delete it."
This was indeed the problem!

I then searched the forum and found the above post. I ran the exe posted, and then rebooted, which sorted it out. Thanks zelendel! I've kept the exe in case the 'phantom email notification' happens again.
