hi,
I am new to Android so this might be a noob question but i really want to know how to flash my phone back to original from liberated rom. i grow impatient of waiting for official 2.2 to release so i want to flash the liberated rom but how do i make a backup of my stock rom so i can restore the phone back to its original when it comes to make a warranty claim or when htc has the official froyo release for aria?
thank you

Here is the link to download the original Aria ROM. Click on the "More" link to see the instructions to follow to flash the RUU.
http://www.htc.com/us/support/aria-att/downloads/
thanx for the reply.
1)if my aria is SEA version not under AT&T, is there a difference?
and
2) i've read somewhere from the forum that HTC Sync wont run on CM6, if i flash cm6 instead of liberated, can i still use HTC Sync to recover it back to original?
3) by flashing this rom, my phone will be like original out of the box? which allow me to claim for warranty? ( rooted or flashed will void warranty)
Thanks Again

OK sorry, this ROM file is for the AT&T branded Aria. I do not know where you would find the SEA version of the ROM.
It is true the HTC Sync cannot interact with CM 6.1 ROM at the application level to sync contacts and such, but you can still use HTC Sync to flash these HTC original RUU ROM files.
Hopefully someone else may be able to point you to the SEA original RUU ROM file.
I don't know what "SEA" is but this may be of some help to you and PM'ing the OP or posting in the thread someone may be able to help you...unless of course one of the RUUs from the first post is what you are looking for:

Edit: I guess SEA stands for southeast asia?
As title , How can I downgrade my HTC wildfire from Froyo ro Eclair so that I can root it. I tried to google it and what I get it methods for HTC legend and Desire.
Is there any method for Wildfire to downgrade ? Or method for desire is work on wildfire too ?
The methods stated for other devices dont work for the Wildfire. Other members have been trying various methods this, and, you can read about it here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=914574
So none of them work ? Sob max.. I shud not upgrade to 2.2 Froyo before researches... anyway.. Thanks..

Good one, Alex!
Guys i think i found a way that we can downgrade our wildfires to 2.1.. The only think that we need to do is get both official RUU files extract them, than find the hboot.. Than we can copy the old hboot to the 2.2 RUU and pack(Compile)it again as a exe file and procide with the procedure. Im sure this will work because it worked on winmobile. The only thing that i need help is someone who can find the hboot, because the files the RUU contains are linux files and i have a lil knowledge of them...

Downgrade to 2.1 already works. Look here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=921752
However, this is pointless (Unless you desperately need Eclair) because HBOOT downgrade doesnt work. I am sure the method you have stated has been applied, if you go through the thread.
I need to downgrade to 2.1 or if i could to lower than 2.1 ., and install ruu older ROM if i could.,
there are some thread on how to do it., but with no links or files to download for the incredible ., I do not want to guess which file to download and where to find it and if its the right file .
I can go to few of the RUU , but pretty much the ones with 3.30 .70 .. and i think 29 ., if i need to try the older ruu like 147 651... the evo crashes ., so i think the only way to install these ROM is to downgrade to 2.1 .No?
so please if one knows of a way to do so ,advise me . or if you know of a link or tutorial for the evo with all files names ... etc would be great ., this way i dont have to guess and brick the phone .
any good feed back is appreciated ., sincerely
why do you want to downgrade? and you need to be rooted to do it btw.
Iam rooted .
well i need to install one of the old radios ., the i tried to intall the older radios but the phone would freeze and i have to end up reinstalling the supersonic ROM., like RUU 3.29 or higher.so i could not install the older radios ..,
I need to repair few locations of the meids and ive been scanning for weeks and cant find them. so i quit .i hope thid would be my last resort ,if i install older ROM with older radio i can fix it.
sincerely
what hardware are you on? i dont think the newer hardware can handle 2.1 cuz it was never built for it.

First off, I don't know if this is a troll post or not.
Second, I'm assuming if its not a troll post, you are ESL, or something. Your grammar and punctuation needs some... work.
However, what I'm reading is that your evo is crashing when you are flashing a rom. I've got to ask, did you wipe the data before trying to flash a rom? Its kind of important.
The android version (2.2, 2.1 ect.) is what android version the rom is built off of. To downgrade this, you simply need to find an older rom, and flash it. On top of that, you probably need to downgrade your recovery. The two recovery threads in the Android Development section have pretty much every every single version from 1.0 in their mirrors, so you should be fine there.
However, I haven't seen a 2.1 rom for the Evo, but I'm new to the scene.
I still got 2.1 Rom if u dos search for omj eclair on Google u can still find it. If u really want to downgraded try using the very first PC36IMG.zip from toastch rooting method it will downgrade for ya.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
Good luck with the downgrade and stuff. I don't know what situations call for running radios that were around back when Eclair was out...
Shipped-roms.com? Ruu maybe all the way back to the launch rom...
people do crazy things, like eat at Arby's
when i try to install an older supersonic RUU ,for example 1.32.651.1 Radio 1.39.00.04.26., the process start ok then the phone progress bar goes from green to red vibrate few times and continues to just about the end ,then gives error on PC ..didnt complete ..etc.howeveer, when i try to boot EVO, no go i have to reinstall a new RUU like the 3.70...., and no i do not wipe info before i install the ROm,and have no idea how to do that ., i thought a new or old rom would do the wipe clean data etc.., so how would i need to go about doing this .?
again thank you all
and yes its a new EVO hardware version 0003
what's your hboot as of now?

This is what ^ means...all the RUUs...have at it.
the Hboot i have know is 2.10.0001., and have radio 2.15.00.07.28., thats because i installed RUU supersonic 3.29...., this is more or less as low as i can go and i cant install an earlier radio .or the phone will crash and i have to reinstall the RUU again., the phone is rooted with unrevoked but i didnt do the nandroid unlock., because cant get the sdk platform to work on my pc....etc
yes i know there are shipped roms ...etc ,but again i cant install whatever i want., the phone will crash ., the lowest i did from 3.70 to 3.29 , again i would want to install 132 .651 ..., but it wont install it.??, so thats why i think i need to downgrade to 2.1 ..etc ., if not what do i need to do please.
sincerely
ok then it might be because your phone is too new... still confused on why you want it. check for an old rom in rom manager and download old radios in calkulin's thread. try that.
yeah it wont take older roms or older radios ., would have been simple if it did ., so the answer is i cant .?
so i cant downgrade to 2.1 ?, even if bootloader is newer than older evo.?
well why i need to do it is a subject here they do not want us to talk about but oh well., when the phone was new never been activated had the MEID repaird on it., just downgraded to older rom and was easy indeed to zero out the digits ., few weeks went buy resetting the phone and doing 786 ., the meid digits changed to where HTC had them., and know been weeks trying to redo that ,I cant i mean weeks all day till night ., some meids wont pop ., but they are hidding ., so they say if i go older radio should be easy or easier .
thats all folks , any ideas sincerely
hah i have no idea how to mess with that stuff... good luck though.
so thats it you quit on me just like that ., you have no idea how i can downgrade radio or ruu to the 2.1 era .?,
iam willing to test
sincerely
i don't think you are rooted any longer. do you have s-off? if you ran the ruu without being fully rooted you most likely don't have root anymore but i may be wrong. i would say run unrevoked again and full unlock including the nand and you should be able to flash any radio and rom you want.
when i install an RUU ., and i try to do a recovery ., indeed it does not go to the menu it should ., it gives me the picture of the phone... and i think a circule of some sort., but i rooted it many times ., but no nand unlock ., again could not figure out how to run it.
so ok lets say what you say might work ,is there a an auto nand unlock here or there i can use .
sincerely
I think you really need to do a better job of searching instead of just asking question and having other people help.

Hi all
i'm new here
I need help becouse i want install CyanogenMod-7 for HTC Wildfire with android 2.3.
I have Wildfire with android 2.2.1 and i have hboot 1.0x etc.
Is it possible and what i need ?
I'm green in this case
Thx in advance. sorry for my eng
If you read around a little bit, you would come to know you cant.
Anyway, I'll still tell you - No, you cannot install CM7 on official 2.2.1 with Hboot 1.01. You will have to find someone with an XTC Clip hardware box, get your phone S-OFF using that, and only then root and install Custom ROMs like CM7.
