[Q] Is there a streaming radio app like Tune In on Android? - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Themes and Apps

Is there an app like Tune In Radio on Android?
http://www.appbrain.com/app/tunein-radio/tunein.player
I am trying to connect my old Touch Pro 2 up to some computer speakers and just use it as an internet radio at my desk. Does anyone know a good WM app for that?

SPBradio, coreplayer streams too but you have to go threw a little trouble to set it up but SPB radio is your best bet

pandora
pandora is a fantastic music device..and thanks to all the awesome developers at xda we are able to have it...here it should be if i did it right.but if i didnt just search for pandora on the site.

+1 Pandora
I second Pandora radio. It is great! I use it pretty much everywhere, on my Tilt2, ipod touch, on work and home computers, blue ray player. Now if I could somehow get it on my car stereo!
Its got a couple limits, like only being able to listen for 40 hours a month (which you can use more if you purchase), but I've only reached that limit twice in the 8 months I've been using it, just remember to pause when not listening .

Pandora is Good , I even upgraded and got PANDORA one, then i found Slacker Radio and now use it more and upograded to Slacker Pro very very nice and you can make your stations or choose from many others.

I'm not too sure what you mean there, but you can listen to internet radio from the UK at www.radiofeeds.co.uk/pda
Thanks for the replies, working nicely on both Wifi and GPRS.
well i meant that i want to listen to Internet Radio stations and DAB Stations that broadcast on the net on my MDA? is that possible?
check out www.orb.com as you can not only listen to radio but also watch TV. If you hook your webcam and sky up to your pc at home you can watch both from anywhere in the world and it's free.

Yes. You might need to install additional players such as RealOne and TCPMP, depending on the stream format.
DAB stations are included in the site mentioned.

I wish that were true. As of 31 March,2006 UK/Irish radio stations can no longer stream their broadcasts outside the UK without having to pay the PPL more money.
What's the point of having internet streaming when it's only in the UK.
What we need is someone to run a nice proxy for these streams (wink wink, nudge nudge) for the entire world to access.
I personally listen to MMM (TripleM) out of Austraila with WMPlayer on my MDA.

There are four stations that stream, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and
Adelaide.
Otherwise I use MortPlayer to listen to Shoutcast streams.

WMWifirouter not working with psp

Ok so im using wmwifirouter 0.91 and it works great and fast with my mogul with any laptop or wifi device except for my psp, has anyone had any luck with doing so, I would like to use the internet radio feature on the psp while driving in my car, the psp is updated, should I get a newer version of the wmwifirouter and where would i get it or is there a way to get it working with the older version? Please help!!!
there is no way that wmwr will support the psp unless Chainfire can magically figure out how to do acesspoint mode wifi or the psp hackers manage to code in support for adhoc based internet surfing as the psp only supports accesspoint based internet surfing at the moment
Also you may want to update to the latest version of wmwifirouter as it is sooooooooo much better than the old .91 version
so where can i get it, is it free, can you point me in the right direction?
here

Why not just use your device to listen to internet radio - I Use TCPMP to listen to internet radio stream and it works perfect. Just use your device to navigate to shoutcast or some other site that has various internet radio stations and then listen. I actually saved each station and even created an Icon in Ultimate Launch on my device for each station so I just have to click on my Icon for the blues station and I am listening to the blues within seconds. I stream my music from my phone to the Motorola t 505 using bluetooth which then streams the music flawlessly to my stereo using a very strong fm transmitter. That way when I get a call, the music pauses automatically and the call then comes through my car speakers as well. You will have much less clutter in your car this way too having less devices and no wires, except for power to your phone if you plug it in.

Weak FM Radio on HD2

Hi I want to ask you about your FM radio - do you have so poor signal as mine - on my old SE P1i I could find plenty of radio stations - on HD2 with with the same headphones - I can find only ONE in mono mode only!!
Is something wrong with my HD2 or it is typical problem of this model??

that really depends on the kind of data plan you have with the network provider. if u r not on an unlimited plan it might not be the most economical choice.

Yeep but this stations wich I find manually are still with poor quality of signal so this is not a solution ;(
Same problem -- I used a Touch HD for 18 months and the radio was great. I use it every morning while walking the dogs. But, on the HD2 the radio is noticeably less sensitive and there's intermittent interference on stations that the HD pulled in clearly. I'm using the same wired headset on both.
Since I still have the HD, does anybody think it's a software issue? Or is it in the hardware? Could I copy the radio software from the HD to the HD2?
Thanks
yes I found the same thing between the hd and hd2 radios.
I don't bother using the radio on the hd2 because it's so weak.
Would love a solution to have it working well ie not just streaming instead.

Newest Internet Radio Apps?

What do people use? What is easiest?
Free or not?
I loveD slacker, but the past week has been horrible (Hardly ever connects, does not skip to next track, freezes up while buffering)!!!! so i been scrambling for music ideas to stream while i drive....
Don't post if you are going to say load you storage card with music lol
Is WUNDER Radio still as good as people said it was? I hear mixed things a lot!
I downloaded Mundu radio and its ok but the buttons and display are messed up.... it just plays shoutcast from what I see
Something fast, convenient like slacker would be great, Pandora app sucks (quality) --
Don't mind paying but would prefer a one time fee and not a subscription..
any thoughts?
anyone having issues with slacker radio?
i put music on memory card but like to be surprised with variety...

Good Luck

Way Off Topic But Worth A Try

I figure if anyone knows, it will be someone here ... I grabbed a new laptop (broke screen on old one) It's an HP Envy m7 ... pretty nice rig with 17.3" touch screen, i7, 12g, beats audio ... I drive a truck and listen to my Detroit Tigers games through the phone via MLB At Bat ... I am trying to figure out how to stream the audio from the phone to the laptop via Bluetooth so I can listen to the games on the HP.
I come up empty on google searches. From what I've found in Media Player, I can stream out but not in with that... I go into sound properties where it shows the available devices; speakers, microphone and the phone when paired doesn't show up as a device in there. My Dell had an external microphone jack on the side and I was able to change the properties of that to 'line in' ... then I would plug the phone headphone jack into mic jack and listen to it that way. This rig only has an internal mic, no jack.
Any ideas/suggestions?
Edit: Running Windows 8.1 BTW ....
Sounds like you should just connect your pc to your phones tethering and stream from the pc.

The MLB app is device specific and I'd have to buy a new subscription for the lappy. Yeah I know, spend nearly a grand on a lap top but don't want to spend 20 bux on a subscription sounds kind of ironic !!

Of course there is ... and I listen to that local Detroit sports talk radio station almost all day via radio.com over the net on the laptop with the phone broadcasting the net signal for connection (I'm an over the road truck driver). But even though they broadcast the games on the radio, they are not permitted to over the internet. MLB couldn't get the $$ for their mobile apps / accounts if they allowed that. When the game starts. the internet version of the radio station switches over to the CBS sports talk feed. Only way to hear the game is through MLB.com
