Could we have a radio thread please that lists T-Mobile compatible radios?
I think the stock radio is not that good. I would like to try a newer and hopefully better radio for better battery life and reception.
Here are all the radio roms that work well (tested by me) and are safe to use. Sometime later I'll upload them to a FTP server for you to be able to download them directly, however, for now, visit this page:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611787
Make sure to only download the xxxx.50.xxx radios!!!

Radio_2.10.50.19_2
Leo_Radio_2.11.50.20
Leo_Radio_2.12.50.02_2 - works best for me so far, works well in Germany so far. Excelent battery life.
Leo_Radio_2.14.50.04
Leo_Radio_2.15.50.14 - NEWEST RADIO!
Hey Guys, sorry for the delay. Here is a link for the Radio Roms for the HD2 TMO USA:
http://www.4shared.com/dir/RFg27UmU/Radios.html
WARNING- DO NOT USE 2.04.50.x OR 2.05.50.x - They WILL brick the tmous.
2.06.50.x
2.07.50.x
2.08.50.x
2.09.50.x
2.10.50.x
2.11.50.x
2.12.50.x
all work on tmous phones
I have 2.08.50.08_2
Is that a good version or should I switch to something else? Don't know if this effects it but my HD2 is unlocked on AT&T's service.
battery and signal results vary from person to person, phone to phone. you just have to suck it and see.
2.09.50
well i am using the 2.09.50 and seems to have a good signal and battery is good so far. will continue to test. will post my full opinion monday.

Just got my HD2 unlocked, so I will try with the latest one, and work my way back to the next older one if my batti life or signal (dropped calls) does not improve. I remember having similar issues with my TP2 until later when lots of tools and utilities were available.
thats funny. I was going to upload all the TMOUS compatible radios for this section and you already posted a thread. make it easier for USA people to update there radio's

lol. Did that because the stock radio seems to suck.
Also did not want to brick the device.
Edit: Nevermind
2.09 is the one released with 2.11 stock rom. i run this radio and reccomend it to match the 2.11 base in my rom.
So far it performs well in all respects.
i have been using Radio 2.10.50.08_2 and been getting excellent results. i run bt all day all night with 3g and i have 5 email accounts that send/receive every 5 min with all the other sense stuff running update as soon as possible and i am having my battery last all day compared to half a day.
if you want i will upload all the working TMOUS radios that are compatible so everyone can grab it from this section.

thanks but i'm talking about the stick together graphic, it's actually in the radio rom. i have no idea how to dump and rebuild a radio rom (or if i want to start risking bricking my phone lol)
this was released over on the Leo (non TMOUS HD2 section) earlier today, and after trying it out personally with my t-mobile hd2, i am getting better reception. it boots fine, so flash flash flash away!

i dont know how many roms are compatible with this radio, the cell evo series is giving me some heartburn when i try to go to my albums, imma flash the energy series and see how well that works
yeah this has been working great for me too.
better battery life, better reception, faster downloads, etc..
Hello! Im very familiar with the HTC HD2 android development, particularly FroyoStone Series, and im having problems still. On their website, they say to have this:
ROM:Miri's 6.5 V18
and this
RADIO:2.10.50.26
And you will have no problems.
Problem is, i have all of that and still am having audio problems.
People sound like robots when they call me and all the sound through the external speaker is all hyped up and fast.
Please help me, im really sick of WINMO cause i cannot find a decent rom.
I really like android too.
Unless you have a GOOD WINMO ROM, just help me out with this problem please.
THANKS =]
For a good Winmobile rom check out:

Also dont forget to Task 29 your phone before you flash a new rom. It makes all the difference. And for the robot voice try the 2.08 radio in my oppinion it works better.
im using standard energy rom with 2.12.50 radio. and im running mdeejay DesireHD 3.0.5 (hastarin 4.1 kernel) no issues to report, other than known issues of BT and camera.
I also had luck with the 2.12.50 radios. Just flash different ones until you find something that works. Different parts of the country work better with different radios.

OMG I LOVE YOU...
I performed Task 29 & installed the Artemis RoM... and it works.. WOOOO HOO!
lol nd Thanks to everyone who replied. XD
no audio problems for the combination I have listed on my sig
Always do a Task29. It removes all the junk from the non-volatile memory left by previous ROMs
Hey guys, I just want to know a majority vote at which Android ROM is the best as I have my Leo but I'm really wanting Android running on it. I tried Froyo 2.1 but very quickly changed to Android Energy ROM but while running it the ROM had crashed and wouldn't load again after reboot. Is there any ROM out there which is the most stable.
Please any information will help me. I REALLY WANT ANDROID!!! haha

I have tried a few roms and have found Hyperdroid 1.6 to be the most stable, to be honest in the 2 weeks ive been using it the phone has lagged only once or twice, all item seem to work well, and it fits the screen really well as the theme/system has been edited. I would recomend it
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=769026
unfortunately this seems to be very phone dependent..
some builds work great on my phone, some crash a lot.
kinda have to try them out and pick what one you like best..
plus many of the differences between most of the builds are themes and kernels.
pick what looks good to you.

Best ROM would be the ones that works best for you. NO PUN intended. I have 2 HD2's same firmware, same everything, one loves Bangster one loves Mdeejay.. WHY? No idea.. so best ROM would be the one that works best for you
hi, i tried several rom and i like the mattc leo 1.6 and 1.8 (working fine) and also Froyostone V2. for the moment i tried froyoStone v3.1, fine too.
hi,
i used the search function, but i doesn't find anything.
can anyone tell me which Android Rom is the best for HD2?
i think here are many people who has much experience with different Rom's and maybe they can tell me which one is the best?
sy, Gurry
He, he search function won't help.
Do you want it to run from SDcard or NAND or RAM?
Do you want it to have sense?
Are you looking for a Froyo build or a gingerbread build?
anyway, I use this one and like it:
[Dec 30][RAM] darkstone SuperRAM Sense v0.1 [kernel: Hastarin EB]
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=892797
Oh yes! XDA sells pancakes too. But I'm not sure which is the best one. LOL.
sorry for being sarcastic. But the "BEST" Android ROM is the one which YOU - yes "you", and only you - will find out by yourself.
Start reading, start flashing, and share us your thoughts.
Thread reported.
I understand what you mean. hey guys he wants your opinion on what you think is the best rom. it will most certanly help narrow down the long list. i personally think the NexusHD2-FRG83D_V1.7__Froyo_2.2.1_ is the best Froyo rom i have used. plus its SD which is easy. but im currently using a Cyanogen mod 7 gingerbread that im just not happy with cause i cant use the stock gingerbread launcher and im stuck with Launcher pro.. but i cant stand the "find out for yourself" answers.. lets hear some opinions here!
IMO, the Nexus Gingerbread NAND build by tytung is the best. VERY stable, very fast.

First and foremost READ READ READ before you decide and make sure of a few things.
1. Compatible with your device
2. You understand how to install it properly
3. You read the last 15 pages of the thread for current issues as well as the very first page posted by the cook.
This is just a matter of opinion because ROMS are more personal than "Best/Worst". They all have a certain personality to them so technically there is no "best" and the Kernel itself has a lot to do with how a ROM will perform.
I would say to ME the best ROM for HD2 is the HyperDroidGBX in NAND development. Small, ridiculously fast, great battery, very few things not working 100%, and not loaded with any kind of extra apps. Link in my SIG.
For me the dansiest rom is the best. Fast and stable. HTC sense works fine. Until i didn't find something that won't work. The development of the rom, updates and fixes is very fast.

I think you should to try this rom,

performance is better on desire z roms than desire hd

In my experience Pongster's Hyperdroid(non-sense) is the best NAND ROM.
(next best was MDJ 2.6 but is no longer available)
Normally HTC sense rom will have a higher battery drain in comparison
I use this SD ROM: AmericanAndroid http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=957652
It works fine for me, has a low battery usage ...
The HD2 is not mine (company) so I dont want to to flash a NAND ROM.
I've installed CleanDroid 2.55 and I like it!
I use this [DFT/CWM] NexusHD2-Gingerbread V2.3 [Android2.3.2][Kernel: tytung_r6] - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=905060
It works fine for me, has a low battery usage
