Every thing works except when I click on the people icon. This is the error I get:
Fbook error:
The application Facebook
(process com.facebook.katana)
Has stopped unexpectedly
Does anyone have any idea why? On my other DInc it works fine.
Adam
Hmm I have no idea. Mine seems to be working fine.
On a lighter note, how badass is it that they used "katana" in the process name?
I have the same problem. I reported my dinc and still fc's.
What do you mean "you reported you Droid incredible and still fc's." That does not make sense.

Did you try reinstalling the application?
Yes I have reinstalled the update many times.
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
My DInc does this also when I try to open the friends list. Force close and restarts the app. Uninstalled the update and using the old one again.
I have a Droid Bionic and I keep getting this same error. I've done everything from re-installs to hard reset. Still nothing will fix it. One strange thing is my wife's login works. WTH?
Mine works, did ya'll try removing the account from the accounts list? If you are running Sense I'd remove that account too just for good measure.
After that I'd DL the app from the market, sync the contacts and see if it works. If it does then I'd go ahead and add Facebook for Sense last
Anybody keep having the browser shut off every 5 or so mins?
Yup. Just started happening to mine too. Quite irritating
yes very! Its getting sucky.
can you explain more ?

factory reset already ?
I didn't notice so far that kind of problem, sometimes force close, but still not often.
I am also experiencing the same issue. I am using Dolpihn HD; and it happens while on any ramdom web page.

I started getting this in the last couple of days as well... It's damned annoying!
I'm running the 141.05 update, manually flashed from vache's thread. What are you guys on?
I'm glad it's not just me. Seems worse after midnight New York City time. Started a few days ago.
+1
Happens to me as well... Using another browser like Firefox seems to help, so I would wait for a Dolphin HD update to fix this issue...

Add another to the list. Same here. It seems when I visit mobilsm in particular, my browser shuts down more often than any other site I've visited. I've also noticed when I'm working real fast in the browser it tends to wana FC with no FC message.
Ex. As soon as the browser boots I immediately start typing and pressing enter before the text finishes in the URL or Google and then I start moving the page around before its fully loaded. But that also could just be a coincidence. I've had the xoom before the iconia and I hadent experienced this problem but then again it was running 3.1.
Same problem here all day.
2 hours ago got an update for flash, now the problem is gone ?

It simplty goes "Downloading" but the laoding bar is rayed diagonally with black in gray moving to the right. I tried updating market, downgrading market, tried different roms but no chance. Im currently on hydrogen mod port for glacier and its not working. I was on CM7 nightly 177 a few days ago and it didnt work back then either. I know its not the router because my dad has a mytouch too and it works. somebody please help me :'(

Good God SOMEONE HELP. I tried to download something again and it appeared in my notification bar saying downloading (just like before) but in the market the text under the loading bar swifted between downloading and starting download extremely fast for like 2 seconds. A minute later the download icon on the notification bar has a 2 on it saying that the app I downloaded is being downloaded twice. The download icon flashes every 5 minutes. So yesterday I accidentally dropped my phone in milk. I picked got my phone out of it almost immediately, and dried it off. I didn't really think much of it, because everything was still working properly. Today, I tried to use my camera, but when I hit the camera button, the camera app FC'd. I reopened it and I got an error saying "Can't connect to camera". I thought maybe something happened in the ROM, so I restored a backup from about 2 weeks ago, and I got the same message.
Currently, I've got the phone in rice, just in case. Is it possible that the milk is what is causing this? If so, is there any chance that I can fix the camera without sending it in? (I don't have insurance)
The only thing that's keeping me from thinking that the milk is what's causing this, is the fact that everything else is working normally on the phone. I've called people, texted, games, everything is working fine, but the camera.
I'm running Zips most recent build, and my backup was IceColdSandwich. In a few hours when I take my phone out, I'll try a GB rom, but for now, does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks
Yea, MOST of the time, but NOT always, you can go into the phones settings, then into Applications, select the 'All' tab, and find the Camera on the list. Clear the cache, also clear data...that usually works. If not, maybe fix permissions? I always try those methods. But I don't care for ICS so I don't know if its the same as 3.5.....but try that.

Have you tried flashing just a camera? You can go into the Apps and theme section and there is a thread with a few camera packs that you flash in recovery?

Haha so am I. Thanks for the help though, I appreciate it.
Ya it definitely sounds like you nuked a critical component of the camera. Definitely lucky it didn't fry any of the other parts. If you've tried doing a factory reset and completely wiping your disks, don't think there's anything else you can do other than sending it in or attempting to fix it yourself which would require quite a bit of skill and probably some soldering expertise.
I'm using the same rom as you and the same thing happened to me at one point. I managed to fix it though by clearing camera cache, disabling and re-enabling it, and then clearing the dalvik cache and fixing permissions just for kicks. One or all of those things fixed it for me. Try that maybe?

Alright. I'll try it haha. I've been given new hope because the flashlight is working now, so I'm hoping the camera might start working again.
One question though, what do you mean by disabling it and re-enabling it?
When you go to clear the app cache you'll see a button next to the force stop option that says disable. From my understanding its basically like turning off the drivers for the camera. When you re-enable it (same button btw) you reactivate the drivers and it will communicate with the camera again hopefully.
If I'm wrong about any of that someone can correct me. But it still worked to fix my problem anyways

If you do plan on doing that make sure to search the general threads. I saw a really good video there once with someone walking through how to properly disassemble this phone.

Alright, I'll try to find that. The website that I'm ordering the camera from apparently sends step by step instructions.
I guess that's one thing I enjoy about iPhones. They come apart and can be repaired very easily haha
Hope?
Okay, so I randomly tried opening the camera again today, and to my surprise, the app didn't force close or give me the message saying it couldn't connect. Nothing was appearing though, so I didn't think much of it. Then I remembered in Zips build you had to turn force preview on, so I did. Nothing happened, but I tried to take a picture, and the screen turned green with a weird little brownish area in the middle.
I'll upload a picture of it later if anyone wants and thinks maybe they can help me figure it out a little more.
The fact that it's working all of the sudden makes me think it might just randomly go back to normal. However, it might not.
But the fact that the camera is actually turning on now, that means that if anythings broken, its the camera itself, right? Not the hardware around it?
Hmm, upload a picture. My camera started taking those glitchy looking photos before it died on me. If you hadn't mentioned the green and brown detail I would have forgotten.
I'm not saying I can give any more suggestions than I already did but if you're getting the same problem I had then maybe you can categorize this back in the realm of software issues. Better than a hardware failure at least...

Here it is.
But I tried to change the megapixels of the camera, and it "died" again. So I have no idea what to think anymore lol

So, the MyTouch 4G has shown several camera issues; from a black screen to FCing when opening the app. It seemed to be like an update issue to the newest GB but even stock phones that hadn't been updated were also having issues. If anyone has anymore info on this subject please reply here or PM me. I am very interested in this issue as I have a coworker witht the same problem. It has also been shown to reoccur after people think they have "fixed" it with a factory reset or such.
