I have a t-mobile shadow that I imported from the states to the UK. The only problem is the speaker does not work when you receive a call.
Basically you can not hear the other person talking but they can hear you fine, when you put the phone on loudspeaker it works fine.
I have tried replacing the housing but the speaker is the same.
Does anyone know where I can buy a new speaker for the shadow?
Failing that would some sort of registry hack be possible to set the loudspeaker volume much lower so that I could answer a call and use it on loudspeaker but just so the sound is not audible to everyone around.
Or does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks.

Do you have a loud speaker for an htc shadow?
Do you have a loudspeaker for an htc shadow, and if so how much do does it cost?
Is it just me or is the speaker on this phone a lot worse than it was on the D1? I used to have the D1 and just switched the the D2 and notice that the speaker is too quiet. Is there a app/script/download/ANYTHING to make my speaker louder?
I hope this hasn't already be posted, I looked hard.
I've recently upgraded to the official 2.2 release, then replaced the kernel with the vodoo kernel to address the lag issue. Now when I use the handset for calls the callers voice is distorted. There is a tinny rattling like sound. Kind of the distortion you hear in the low bass range when your stereo is to loud, but this is distortion in the higher ranger, not low bass sounds. Happens at any volume level.
This doesn't happen when using the speakerphone, or ear piece, just the normal ear speak in the handset.
I'm looks through the Service Menu->Sound->Handset options but not really sure what all the setting ares.
Any help would be very much appreciated?
Thanks
John
I would flash one of the custom kernels or....... you could try galaxy tuner it allows to to equalize the sound. Worth a try
Me, I would just get one of the great roms already out there
When I call someone they often complain about that it's hard to hear what I'm saying. When I use a BT headset the quality is fine. I've used both the stock Rom and MIUI. But all have this problem.
Anyone else having this problem?
Yep, this is a known issue...with mic volume, have a look at this:

I have been using zenfone max pro m1(ZB601KL) for 2 months. When I try to record some audio or music in my device through earphone , the sound output is very distorted and sound seems to have very much treble and no bass. The quality is too low as we feel like recording in old mobile phones. I have tried boat 225 and apple wired earphones. The same output . I have used both these earphones in my zenfone 5(2014 released) and it works perfect. Issue is causing problems while making both general and internet calls. I cannot find any such issue reported about this phone on the internet since now. My inbuilt phone mic is working fine. Anyone who knows about this issue please help me. Thanks for any help....
Same problem here
Other party cannot hear me properly, I have to shout to let them hear a litle bit. I haven't found a single answer regarding this issue anywhere
