Hi, I was just wondering if anyone has a list or suggestions of stock apps that can be removed. I've already removed the T-Mobile (UK) 'Top Apps' but I've heard in other threads some have FC issues when removing Peep or G-Talk.
Edit: removing top apps caused FC when adding widgets

Hi Guys,
I am using rooted Samsung Vibrant and always facing issues while connecting to market and other apps (related to google account).
Can someone please guide me on how to re-install these apps?
Regards,
Nikhil
If all you did was root then I doubt the apps are what's causing your problem. Do you notice this issue at any particular time? Like are you at home or work when this happens?
Hey everyone,
So I have had a look through other topics about removing unwanted apps and started to remove or disable ones I would never use.
However What I noticed was these apps then continued to update themselves and enable themselves again.
Take Svoice for example, I uninstalled the updates fir it first, Then disabled it. two days later I got a notification stating it had been updated and when I checked it was enabled again.
Anyone any ideas?
Thanks

I had this problem, I had to uninstall "Samsung Apps" app to stop it downloading.
I have been recently getting the below pop up on my S4. I have tried everything to remove it and not sure what app its associated with. Tried the Airpush opt out apk but still no joy. Also downloaded some Airpush removal apps from the play store and still keeps on sporadically appearing
Anyone know how to get rid of it?
There are tools to analyze and remove ad components. I know one but can't mention it as it's a warez. I personally don't use it.
Seems like the only option left is to uninstall apps one by one and check if it's gone totally...?
Hi All,
Just wondering if anyone else has seen this problem or knows of a fix:
At random times with no intervention, the application info page appears for a (random) app with the force stop dialog in front of it asking me if I want to force stop an app. If I hit cancel it does the same thing again for a different app. It goes through many different apps in an apparently random order and then stops (also for no apparent reason). My phone is unrooted running stock ROM. I have tried many things including clearing the System and App caches changing launcher (I normally use Nova launcher) removing memory card but nothing seems to help.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks for your help,
Jonathan
Did you use package disabler?
Yes I have package disabler installed. It doesn't seem to make much difference whether all apps are enabled not.
So I've done a couple factory resets while setting up my new VS995, rooting, etc.
It seems that after initial setup and sometimes even following a couple of reboots more apps just install out of nowhere.
On my last flash the first thing I did was go and freeze all the VZW apps (I'm not with Verizon anymore) and seemingly even after this some additional apps installed.
I don't recall all of them, but there was definitely:
- Yahoo Finance
- Yahoo Newsroom
- Yelp
And 2 or 3 others.
Does anyone know what is causing these apps to install? They don't seem to come back after I remove them.

Thanks. I haven't dealt with this app before on older phones. Quick google search shows it's uber-annoyingness.

Are you sure playstore is not installing them? I. Would also suggest you uninstall them instead of just freezing. No point in having them frozen if you don't use them.

I'm not freezing them. I'm freezing the Verizon system apps. It is clear if you look up what Dtignite is that this must be the culprit.
I wasn't able to actually observe if they were installed through the Play Store or through some back channel, but they were clearly getting installed as user apps after the phone was setup. The good part about it is that even though it is bloatware, Dtignite installs it all as user, so it is easy to uninstall.
I just didn't know what was triggering the installs.
Welcome to Verizon. Its dtignite in earlier versions and mobile system something in newer updates, but it still has the purple swirly icon.
