I want to buy an htc snap from germany, but it has qwertz keyboard... Does the WWE ROM support qwertz Keyboard?
or... is it possible to change language in the htc snap germany menu?

Yes it is possible. You just edit the CURLANG registry key to change the keyboard layout to German QWERZ. Search the forum there is lot of topics about that, in other device sections also if there is nothing at Snap.
It is very simple.

I have an English Generic UK Xperia with R1 firmware. As I'm a norwegian I'm wondering about flashing the phone with the R2 NO firmware. But then I have read that I will get norwegian layout on the hardware keyboard, with æøå insted of ' : and ?. I don't want that. Is there a way to change the hardware keybord layout to english on the norwegian rom?

Is there any possibility to enable/add Czech T9 dictionary?
(I mean with original SW keyboard, no new keyboard with T9. I am considering buy Cruise 09, I only have hold it in hand in shop. This property is important for me.)

I am sorry, but this cab can't work in my phone.
But the simpliest solution, I have been afraid to use, the "All input languages reg patch" for Touch Diamond, the "T9 Input 14 Languages Update.cab" operate well!

My: HTC Touch Cruise 09 (Iolite) ROM 1.09.401.3
it means, ROM contains Czech T9, only the option is hidden in the menu.

That one does not work on Iolite as well as many other devices... I made a .cab for you guys that truely works.

I am sorry, but your version does not perform on my device. Keyboard does not type anything. In any language.
I am HW restarting and converting to original "T9 Input 14 Languages Update.cab"
Well if you bought a Czech version than you should have that language included......though HTC is not always so generous in giving what we want...

It is English version WindowsMobile.
Official Czech version ROM never have been sold, with Cruise09 model, I think. SunnySoft sell only the SW Czech localization (I have not it).
HTC sells English WM models with 14 languages T9 in Europe, but only the 5 main are in the menu (English, French, German, Italian, Spanish), others are hidden. How to unhide this languages, it is the thread

I have got this configuration now:
1. ROM: English (after HW reset it is still English)
2. SW localization WM: none
3. T9 language: 14 languages available in the menu, include Czech, unhidden with xda-developers
I am satisfied . No reason to change anything.
Just upgraded from a Htc magic to a HTC Legend and found something that bothers me..
when i choose english menu language the XT9 dictionary for my sms switches to english too and i can't turn it to my desired language (in this case swedish)
when i check the menu for switching to any other language for my xt9 i can't find any other than english no matter what menu language i use.
But the strange thing is that if i choose swedish menu language, the XT9 also changes to swedish.
so is there any way for me to use english language in the menus and still have the XT9 set to swedish?
i have a non-rooted, non-branded Htc Legend bought at 3-stores in Sweden..

Hi To All, I have lay my hands on a X2 with Generic_be and the X2 is a German device so now i have a X2 with Dutch language,keyboard layout is azerty/french but i need a cab what make my keyboard qwertz/German,anyone outhere can hopefully help

Hi, same with me. Have German QWERZU hardware but installed the Belgian Dutch/French language version, which turned the keyboard into AZERTY layout. Now the AZERTY keyboard software does not match the QWERZU hardware. Would anyone know how to install the German keyboard layout? Thanks so much.

Hi Read THIS and READ it TWICE then you get your X2 in WWE, i did it with my X2 too from german to dutch....only my keyboard layout is not yet ok....Succes

Could you finally find a fix for the hardware keyboard layout, allowing you to use the German QWERZU layout with the Belgian/Dutch software (AZERTY)? Am having the same issue. After the Belgian/Dutch system software install, the hardware keyboard (QWERZU) also became Belgian/Dutch (AZERTY), which makes typing very difficult. How to revert back to the German QWERZU hardware keyboard setting?
