Hi,
I bought this phone and unlocked the phone with a code to work on compatible networks. I want to know if upgrading or downgrading the software will lock my Samsung focus?
Thanks in advance

once you carrier unlock (Sim unlock) using a legitimate unlock code, upgrading/downgrading will not re-lock your phone.
so do whatever you want, enjoy!
Damn...I update my 935p to last 935u newest ROM.

I have a kltevzw. I would like to update the modem and the bootloader if possible and I know that my chip is a Toshiba CID 11 and that may not be unlockable yet. Does anyone know if there is an unlock for the 11? Also, I never have any luck changing my modem. It is the aod3 and I would like to update it to the newest modems. Any advice?
Happy Father's day to all us Dads who like tinkering with our phones!
No one knows anything about these bootloaders?
Is it possible to flash dev-edition firmware on our s5's to get the bootloader unlocked? No matter the cid/emmc of the device?

if its locked bootloader cid then no the bootloader will prevent any unsinged firmwares to be loaded.
it would probly hard brick your device trying.
I may be wrong but this is how its been for most of time

I am sure, people did that the day the Dev S5's firmware was made available. The reverse however is most definitely true, several people ended up locking their Dev S5's bootloader by flashing regular S5 firmware. They weren't able to get them unlocked until when the exploit for CID 15s was discovered and released.
