Guys I have finally had enough of SE and me and my X10 have parted ways, I wish you all good luck and hope the dev's can come up with a bootloader hack and release the full potential of your phones with custom ROMS.

I think you seem to forget that one day those needs where more than satisfied by little X10i and her 1.6.
I hope you know you've broken her heart.

I am still enjoying my handset very much. I am able to make calls on it, jump about the net, get some pretty cool apps all in all its working great. Camera is awesome. I am quite happy with it. Upgrade coming in a month.. its all good.

Why do you hate your x10 with 1.6?
I get the feeling the only reason you hate it is because you know that there is an update coming and are too impatient to wait. That and you expect 2.1 to turn the phone into something unbelievable which isn't going to happen.
It will improve some factors of the phone, but it isn't going to be anything majorly drastic.

It still does everything it did yesterday. It will keep doing it tomorrow.

People like you don't care if they do or don't because 'you're happy with what you got and you're a happy nancy' others like myself are considering selling the phone and getting a phone that has 2.1 and up and is more likley to get updated regularly.. Dude, it's like buying a sports car which has a speed limiter built in for no apparent reason. If SE want to tout their Xperia phones as being "the most open mobile phone brand on the market" then it's fair that we call it what it is.. bulls~t!
If the phone is perfectly capable to run Froyo (Flash, etc), then why would SE make such an ordeal out of it? Give it's users a bootloader, then let us choose if we want some homemade Froyo, or stay with SE's 1.6 (eventual 2.1) and customized apps. See, they are the ones creating this negative situation, not their users.

The best thing I ever do was sell my vibrant. A phone that came with some errors, poor attention from samsung, T-Mobile in my country doesnt have 3g when the other have it, No the speed. The only thing that is amazing is the screen.

T-Mobile has 3G in PR and it's apparently HSPA+. Thanks for the update though, I can sleep now!

Most people want to complain about the phone... But, what i have found 98% of the time it is the guy you are looking at in the mirror that is the problem.

i'm thinking about selling my vibrant off too. experienced way too many problems pre-update. now after the update, im getting massive battery drain and gps isn't even working. also, the phone's acting weird and the computer isn't able to connect/recognize the phone anymore. i'm all stock too. such a headache for me, it's just not worth it anymore.
I'm not about to win a Nobel prize or anything but I can think of many MANY things in my life that I have done that are WAY better than buying or selling a phone. I'm not sure buying or selling a phone would even make that list for me.
Really, if that is the best thing you ever do, well then I truly hope you take some time and reflect on maybe at least one thing you can do that could be better than that and try, try again. Don't worry, I'm sure if you keep at it you'll get it.

This too. I'm selling my Vibrant too, but its a great phone, and I just prefer the G2 by a small amount.
Wanted to thank the Vibrant community for all the help it has provided. A special thanks to the talented developers that this community is lucky to have. I have moved on to a new device that IMO is complete.

I don't have a laggy phone either but isn't that the point of this thread? My GPS is fine on JK2 (stock JK2). If you want to sit here and complain about how crappy it is what right do you have to sell it for more than you say it's worth(less).
What device is complete? If had to it all over again I would still choose the vibrant. The only is that I would pay a lot less for one.

The people that are leaving the phone obviously have no idea how software is developed and are extremely impatient. If i have left every phone Ive had because of minor, trivial and fixable flaws, i would been in debt up to my eyeballs. EVERY phone has flaws no exceptions. Right, bad new for me... My MD has decided today that everyone has to have a BB 9900, so my S2 which was going to be with me tomorrow is no more... To say I'm upset and pissed off would be an understatement, but alas, nothing I can do about it...
So if I hang around here beyond now it would be seen as a bit weird and creepy, so it's goodbye all... I won't miss the repetitive posts and questions, but I will miss the great humour and pen craft...

PM brother...
New BB arrived today, still hasnt been configured but I had a quick play...
Design is the usual, but back to the original width so larger than the recent ones... It is the thinnest one ever though... Feels well built and looks pretty smart... Keyboard does feel like the best BB one yet, but the keys above them are shiny so show fingerprints... Back is weird if you ask me... The battery cover is basically clear plastic/glass over a textured surface, again finger prints, but different I suppose...
Now then, OS7... What can I say? Same'ol'same old...As crap as ever but with a brand new lick of paint... Touchscreen works, but I just thought, what's the point really...
Read a post over at crackberry and some guy got rid of his S2 for one of these things... We might have some intellectually challenged members, but what does that make him?!
Anyway, I'd like to introduce you all to a great new charity... It's called the 'Get Caspa an S2 as his work decided to get him a BB 9900 at the last minute Fund', a great cause as he shouldn't have to suffer in this way... I'm sure you'll agree...

Design is the usual, but back to the original width so larger than the recent ones... It is the thinnest one ever though... Feels well built and looks pretty smart... Keyboard does feel like the best BB one yet, but the keys above them are shiny so show fingerprints... Back is weird if you ask me... The battery cover is basically clear plastic/glass over a textured surface, again finger prints, but different I suppose...
Now then, OS7... What can I say? Same'ol'same old...As crap as ever but with a brand new lick of paint... Touchscreen works, but I just thought, what's the point really...
Read a post over at crackberry and some guy got rid of his S2 for one of these things... We might have some intellectually challenged members, but what does that make him?!
Anyway, I'd like to introduce you all to a great new charity... It's called the 'Get Caspa an S2 as his work decided to get him a BB 9900 at the last minute Fund', a great cause as he shouldn't have to suffer in this way... I'm sure you'll agree...

I can't afford to donate sadly(I'm still paying my own sgs2 off), but if it would help you feel better...I could take some pictures of my sgs2 when its out and about? My g/f has one aswell, so could post pics of both phones together?

Don't you have a mobile of your own mate or do you just rely on your job to provide you with a phone?You can get the GS2 for free on contract in UK if you cant afford to purchase it outright although i always recommend purchasing outright and avoid long contracts.
Even if i had a job that provided a phone id still ensure i had my own phone and it wouldn't be a bloody iPhone or Blackberry either.
Just an observation
The day before yesterday my DHD's touchscreen went all dead on me.
Since warranty was allready over en probably void too I was forced to get a new phone.
I was in doubt off what new phone to get but HTC kinda grew on me. So, I'm moving over to Sensation(XE) threads.
allready running Virtuous ICS on it now so tings are going very well
Just wanted to thank the DHD community for giving me a great time. I've learned a lot from all of ya and had loads of fun.
See you on the other side

Must say its a nice device. Only Battery is allready a big relief compared to DHD

I got it on a Tmobile 2 year contract. had 2 pay €100,= for the device

It's a bit early to say but I do like the screen and it;s resolution.also batterylife is a lot better and of course its a lot faster than DHD.
I must say it's a lot more comfortable to hold in your hand then DHD. A bit smaller so it fits better in an average hand
Don't buy it for the headset though, it kinda sucks to be honest. the cord is too short, earplugs are too heavy and sound is nothing special about.
