Removing lag fix - Fascinate General

Anyone know how to undo the lagfix?
Sent from my SCH-I500 using XDA App

You should search unlag fix within the fascinate forum if my memory serves me correctly. I saw it few times going through the forums. I could be wrong haven't had proper sleep for the past few days.
Sent from my SCH-I500 using XDA App

In the same folder of the lag fix, is unlagfixme.bat

i did this just a few days ago. Follow all the instructions to do the lagfix up until you run the bat file. To remove it, just run the correct bat file (as dunc4n has pointed out its called unlagfixme.bat.)

Thank you all for the response

How to make your Vibrant run as smoothly as you just got it?

My vibrant seems to be a bit bogged down and not as awesome as I first got it. There seems to be a little lag on live wall papers, when using a live wallpaper and going to my app window, it slightly lags, etc.
How do I make it run like new besides a factory reset. (ive done 3 already)
Delete cache.

Good video, but which lag fix do I use? I see a lot of people are having trouble with the lag fixes.

After hours of research for a lag fix, I am yet to be decided. Everyone seems contradictory and there seems no sure set way to do it. I do not want anymore problems on my phone.
I did root using that video in literally 5 minutes though.
Is there any EXACT guide on to how to install a root fix.

Problem with app downloads

When trying to download apps, it stalls on the starting download screen. I've left it there for 5 to 10 minutes without anything happening. I still have 201mb of space left for the apps. Is anyone else having a problem with this?

This is one of the reasons why I rooted my vibrant and installed ryanza's lagfix. Have u tried clearing your market history/cache?
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
Cool, Thank you i will try that and see if it works.
Mine does it. Not sure why but this fixes it......open Google talk, click on a status, and go "home". Works every time. Make sure you have talk ignored in you task killer too.

Sensorserver_ya

Does anybody know what this is? I was checking what has used my battery in the settings menu and this showed up as having used 3%. I have no idea what it is....... Running JT's super clean ROM and stock kernel.

Compass. I learned that because catch.com "compass" would not let it go after closing the app it left the process hanging at 60% till reboot.
The full process name is /system/bin/sensorserver_yamaha
Edit: More definitive answer in capture.
good day.
Thank you, chopper - is this something that is normally supposed to be running? I never remember seeing it before - is there any way to close it or is it an essential function?
Sent from my SCH-I500 using XDA App
yes, it's normal and essential
it facilitates orientation/screen rotation
(ie, accelerometer/compass)
Thank you! My day is now complete - I learned something new

you could re-flash the rom, I've never tried the camera hack so I'm not sure exactly what it entails or how to reverse it besides just starting over.
I'm new to flashing rom and stuff but does it erase all apps

Yes it would unless you back them up somehow.
Are you running a custom rom right now?
No stock rooted why?
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
I found this:
"Be careful in Service Mode that you know what it is your changing. If you hork up your phone you can reset it by doing a Factory data reset in Settings / Privacy / Factory data reset."
from here
but be careful, you'll need to reinstall your apps if you do that, but if you flashed the rom again you'd have to do that anyways.
Thanks ill probably try a new rom any recommendations preferably one with good battery

I've had great battery with Macnut R13.
I've actualy never had below 24 hours unplugged.
but fair warning: some people say the opposite so I may have just got lucky.
It seems to be about 50/50 have good battery life or dont lol
Also I hear great things about Team Whiskeys roms.
as well as Auxura (Although the guy developing the rom recently stopped development on it)
if you want to stay with 2.1 you might try team whiskey
or if you like 2.2 then any of the above would be great roms
everyone has their own opinion though so you might try a few before you find one you like alot.
Okay one more question... let's say I flash a rom right now... then flash another tomorrow... will the one I did the day before be completely erased when I flash a new one I've heard of people experiencing bugs and this happened ..

Generaly yes you should not have a problem.
but if you do run into trouble you can use odin to start clean, in fact alot of people prefer to use odin to get back to stock before flashing any rom.
but its up to you, I generaly only use odin if things start acting weird (which is next to never)
Wait... isn't Odin how you flash new roms?
Also can u link me to a good tutorial on flashing roms I'm trying to search it from my phone using xda app but its taking forever

At least this thread will serve as a solution to the next person has this issue. Loved the title of this thread, had to respond.
So how did you get the stock camera back? Mine keeps restarting my phone I want to restore it but there is no restore.txt
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
Go to your files app.. then sgstools folder there should be a app called camera.apk
Get root explorer go to system > apps and delete camera.apk and the one under it is like camera.odex delete that too.
Now use root explorer to go to sgstools and move camera.API to system apps then go clear all data foe camera app reboot. Done.

Help

Ok I love my epic but ever since I updated to 2.2 the orientation had been extremely slow my phone is stock and I've tried a factory and reformatting my sd. I took it to sprint and they told me it was the software, but when I looked at the demos in the store there was no orientation delay. Any suggestions?

I would say try to Odin the stock tar file and see if it helps

look thru the forums for the 'lagfix', its the adb command yamahasensorcalibutil or something like that.. its just calibrating your sensors... works great on a good install of most eb13 or ec05 install...
Use terminal emulator, if you don't have it yet get it from the market. Open it and type /system/bin/sensorcalibutil_yamaha place the phone on a flat surface, and hit Enter. Reboot the phone and sensors will function at normal speed.
You ca use adb also. Good luck

I believe you need to be rooted.

Doh! +1 on rooting assumption...
For the short periods of time I have been on total stock builds, when I first loaded EC05, it had the least lag out of any.... try to reflash? Consider taking the plunge to root? We have the neglected bastard child of sprintsung... what they dont do or dont do right we have to do ourselves...
Callibrate it using the option in display settings while putting it flat on the underside of a table.
Trust me, it works.
See here : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DKECs764ayE
So it sounds like the only way to do this is to root my phone

Well it seems laying the phone face down on the horizontal calibration helped

You can either root it and fix it, or take it to Sprint, have them ODIN it which won't fix it and have them order a replacement which takes 3 days.

That doesn't fix the sensor lag, in fact for many people that has made it worse.
Feel free to read the original sensor lag fix thread if you don't believe me.
