I can confirm it's in Bangster 1.4 as well. For those who are bad at math, the answer should be 0.02.

I get it on mattc's nexus build.

hi, use win mo haha
seriously it is better.
as of the issue, it is a well known problem
long story short
some numbers cannot be properly represent in the programming languages. java
ha the same bug (actually it is not a bug)
.net handle this properly

Bull****, .Net has the same problem. Might happen at a different accuracy level, but the problem is surely just as present. This can only be solved by using different datatypes (in Java for example the (big)decimal datatype, but that brings other problems with it). When you're using the same kind of datatype (double, in this case), the problem exists in both java and .Net.

Just install RealCalc from the market for free. It's the best calculator I've found
and there is 6.93 - 6.91 = 0.02

Also happens in shubcraft. And yes RealCalc looks and works nice.
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App

RealCalc gets the rounding bugs too.
6.9999993 - 6.9999991 and results in the infinite 9s.

[APP]StopWatch 2.2

Hi!
Here comes another updated version of StopWatch. This time it's an update to version 2.2, and it is currently available for QVGA, VGA and WVGA screens.
The sleep-bug where the timer and stopwatch slows down when the phone goes into sleep mode has been corrected. Further, I've also included support for MoDaCo's AppToDate application for easy updating.
Info from earlier:
You can use both mp3s and Wav-files as alarm sounds, but it is advisable to use short clips, since there currently is no way to stop a started alarm. (This means that a played song for example wont stop play until either the program is exited or the song is ended.) I am currently working on this.
The program has also been reviewed in its latest version (2.0) by Gadgetmix.com:
http://gadgetmix.com/index/?p=2724
The new versions can be found at:
http://kaldma.se/programs/stopwatch/
Please report problems here!
/ nitramk
Version 2.3
- QVGA-version available
- Small corrections for QVGA screens
Version 2.2
- VGA and WVGA versions available.
- Bug when splitting times in advanced mode with d-pad corrected
- "Sleep mode"-bug corrected
- AppToDate support
Version 2.0
- VGA and WVGA versions available.
- Timer function
- Changeable timer alarm with vibrate alert
- Ability to use the D-pad instead of the screen
- Two ways to display split times, one as in V1 and one with focus on individual lap times as requested.
- The stopwatch and the timer both runs perfectly well when the phone goes to sleep or when you hit the power button to turn the screen off, compared to V1 where it didn't .
Version 1.0.1
- QVGA and VGA versions available.
- That small "closing app"-bug corrected.
Version 1.0:
- Only for VGA-screens!
Files below are of the latest versions!

great
this is highly usable, great job.
I think i keep my diamond and dont go to the iphone
Looks great, fits very well. Maybe you can release a german version? I´ll help translating.
That would be possible and yes, I would need help with that since my German isn't that great.
First, though, I feel I have to complete the program a little by for example adding a timer function and making some other fixes.

Why would you need to time anything tonight Some things are better left untimed
if you make it count down too would be perfect. very nice job buddy!

The only one I know is cKe.
http://www.animaniak.com/cke/cke_main.asp
I didn't tested it yet on Diamond, but on my Prophet it works. It's sadly to say, that it's not developed anymore since 2007.

Well, the main prog does work, but I've noticed some small graphical bugs with it (some missing chars and colors aren't very well at bottom bar). So I stick to cKe. Does the same. With the same bugs
Same problem. Is there any current alternative?

FingerMenu for WVGA ??

FingerMenu is a beautyful tiny app that adds big, finger-friendly pop-up menus (T3D-esque)
Tested on my Xperia and it messes the screen up (VGA size and Hz refresh)
Anybody knows if there's a fix or tweak for WVGA ??
I really like this app a lot
EDIT 13 feb 09: VERSION 1.10 working OK so far

1.09 is working fine here (i did think it was causing a weird hard reset with itjes 3.0 rom but I've ruled that out).
Have you excluded some apps such as quickmenu with it, 'cos that really doesn't work well at all.
oh and what's "falming" ;p

No I don't have anything extra at all, just a custom set of Sony icons on the top bar (battery etc)

aaaaah messes my screen up, too.
Really great app =). too bad that it doesn't work =(
it works. just reboot once and it should be fixed.
nope didnt work
I amusing the NAM ROM
I will try with another ROM
Problem seems to be the background alfa blending (transprency)
I reported this on the app thread and someone replied "turn transparency to 255"... that's obvious... and disabling background transparency works too, but thats a patch, not a FIX
you loose menu-context persperctive when you can't see your background or your white background blends with the pop up
Quick note to let everybody know there's a NEW FINGERMENU VERSION (1.10)
and it's working fine on Xperia X1
HINT: Check htctoucher's gloss skin. Cool

Thanks! I used 1.09 before. 1.10 is a good improvement! its stable, works with all apps and to transparency issues......

Here you go: For those of you who didn't see this, didn't look for it, or just didn't hear of it: The applications below have been ported from Rhodium & Topaz to fit on our VGA Diamonds. I did NOT port them, I only found them, tested & used all of them, and for lack of a better thing to do, I choose to collect & share them with you.

Thanks. As this is related. Does anybody know how to get the new email wizard called up instead of the old one?
I hope im not hijacking but I figured it was directly related. Why should someone install the new one when they can't do it without running a shortcut?
How do I upgrade Opera? It's quite a few thousand builds newer than the one I'm running, but the installer says that the old version cannot be uninstalled. If I just continue with installation, there's bound to be issues.

Not necessarily. It is almost identical, files wise. It shouldn't be an issue to uninstall it if you have issues. You prolly have opera cooked in, so it will never be able to be uninstalled.

Im just wondering, is it possible to port the contact application, which integrates all your conversations (e.g. emal, sms, phone history) with a particular person

I already have. The only thing we are waiting for is the new manila from xboxmod. The contact editor is 90% tied into manila. So it is useless without it.

It is to auto-rotate without the need for third party apps. There is an app called G-Config that configures the sensor for apps that aren't already supported.

[DEV] OpenGL ES Test Application

Hi everyone...
I've been playing around with OpenGL ES, struggling to get it to compile, and eventually succeeding to discover that some of the parameters I set wouldn't work on the Diamond.
I've fixed all of the issues that I know of and now I want to see what devices a little test application will work on.
Hopefully, it should work on all the MSM720X based devices, and anything else that supports OpenGL|ES, that support can either be hardware or software acceleration, so those of you without the more recent devices can give it a shot and see what happens.
You should be presented with a triangle, that you can reorientate with mouse click and drags...
If people could test it out and see what happens, I'd be very happy
It may even lead somewhere!
Tested and verified on:
HTC Touch Diamond
HTC Touch Diamond2
Xperia X1 (sortof...)
HTC Touch HD
HTC Touch Pro
it works perfectly on my HD !

Are the framerates good? (I know there's no display of framerates, but does it feel smooth?)
XDA Diamond Pro
I've tested it on my german O2 XDA Diamond Pro and it works very well and feels very smooth - even with chainfires gfxboost being disabled...

C++. Which is why I had trouble setting it up. Koush's managed API is easier to set up, but slower to run...
Attached is a new version that utilises a wrapper for some OpenGL ES functions, and l3v5yExtendedFunctions for some window creation etc...
It should have comparable frame rates, memory usage etc.
It also utilises the accelerometer of HTC devices, tap the center button (or anything that sends VK_RETURN) do toggle it.
You need to copy both dlls and the exe to your device, then run the exe.
Fast and smooth on my diamond here
and the new version is flickering a bit by fast moves
I don't know, if this has supposed to work on Iolite (different chipset), so i tried it . App even didn't start. It shows usual error with "either it is not signed..."

That probably means your device doesn't have a libGLES_cm.dll file. Which means that by default there's no OpenGL ES support.
Something that may be of interest to people here...
This is a game built off the framework created earlier... Should work on the same devices
Tested all apps on HTC Jade and all run smoothly..
Tested on x1 Test1 in post1 works but freezes for a second here and there.
test2 run but displays hello! and then closes.
and in the coin thread i reported it worked flawlessly on my x1

Kinda odd...
But since the coin works, it may be because of the version of the dlls... No idea why... I'll have a look though!

This is great. I tried the two tests and your coin app on a htc td - they were all perfectly smooth...
Do you think it's possible to add support for 3ds max model files? That would be completely fantastic!
Thank you for your work, I really appreciate it. Now I can show my iPhone friends that my device isn't just a lagging piece of crap..

It'll be because of the lack of accelerometer... My code didn't contain that much error checking... :S
