Brief description:
This rom does not include any GUI customizations, default themes are removed and it includes only the touch theme and the windows default one, most of the ringtones are removed. The rom uses the default welcome screen, and simple comm manager.

All cabs I posted for helmi's rom and the ones from touch dual should work just fine in this rom (i am curently use most of them) so you can use them for building your extrom

well i ran it successfully for the first time before hour and a half, this was my first core port, so the hard part is done, i am planning to test wifi driver as module, it should work better, i will share more info tomorrow

Great to hear this. When it is ready, could you possibly also release it as a Kitchen? I've gotten spoiled and enjoy tailoring the ROM exactly to my needs. Also, will you include the newer versions of mobile Office?

I will try to include the latest office version also i will update most of the oem software and services with the latest versions, but the rom space is a lil limited so i will do my best to create at least rom good as helmi's one

Yes, at this time I'll try my best to have a bestROM for ours BA. I think my ROM base on Helmi_c R0 and have much apps. I want to test it today and I will release as soon as possible. Now, it's so fast, and everything work 100%! OK

Cool! I will be waiting for that bestROM! I'm ansious to put it on my BA, and to compare it with the xplode's Rom. this is only good news!

I assume that this has camera support built in and no MIDI support? Those are the 2 main issues that I have with Helmi's ROM. I don't need the camera support as I have a SX66, but I DO need the Midi support. That's why I use the Kitchen. So i can dump the useless( for me) stuff and replace it with stuff that I need.

Those 3.19 drivers still eat up 16 MB of valuable RAM.

Depends on performance - maybe it's worth it..

Not able to understand why HTC is not bothering for valuable 16MB RAM while releasing the new set of drivers??

OS:5.2.19981 (19981.1.2.9) a normal OEM package with all the older programs such as Camera:Ver 5.04 Build-31875, Task Manager:Ver 2.0 Build-35357, Touch Flo: Ver 2.0 Build-31936, MS Office Ver 6.1 and .netCF-2.0.7045.00 and NO Manila. Storage 101 MB and Memory 84.96 MB. However the response is fast like the newer Custom ROMs floating around currently and 'Activesync does not popup occasionally as in Custom ROMs'.

this is a fix release...sound issues should be gone...had to remove htc volume control is it still has issues...fixes minor gfx glitches...updated to lastest and probably final leak version of wm6.5.3 (29022)...will from now on work on unresolved issues and finalize rom...this will still take some time due to work...
updated physics engine and utask app by ultrashot...my thanks to him...
patched htc album to novsync, faster scrolling once cache is made...
removed no longer supported apps (my phone and marketplace)...if u need them install via cab...
Important Note:
if you have radio 1.65.xx.xx installed on your polaris, downgrade the radio 1st...
it will not allow you to flash any other ROM (i couldn't even flash official HTC ROM when i tried a ROM with that radio)
link 2 a radio that allows downgrade
There seem to be HR and MC losing data issues with some roms, so i recommend flashing a htc original rom and only then this one, before proceeding as always make a backup of all data before attempting to use this rom...
This is released as "WORK IN PROGRESS" so you can if you want, post what works/what doesn't...
in time i'll correct bugs and release when it seems fit...meanwhile i'll actively answer all major questions, giving all support which is always nice to have...hope you all like it...

Radio included: no radio included but has to be 1.59 and above
OS: 5.2.21911 / 23569 / 28014 / 24001 / 29022 WWE (thanks to the people that make them available)
OEM Drivers: 3.19/1.60 (thanks to Cmonex and chavonbravo) or 3.19 untouched (htc)
NOTES:
You NEED HardSPL installed before flashing any ROM...
Don't forget to make a backup of all data before trying it out...
1st boot takes long time to complete...
Hard Reset after 1st Boot (when it gets 2 calibration screen) to minimize problems, this is always a must as most problems are do to not doing so...
use compatible Radio depending on what version you download...
3G an H are disabled by default for max battery...
some programs have been tweaked, so if you feel they are slower or got bugs, please report them...
support will be provided, here in this thread ASAP...
the (Beta) is due to the fact that wm65 is not released yet...
Tested incoming /outgoing calls... but cannot speak or hear...plus camera all black...change the RADIO to supported one...
2G dialer is made for portrait only
iGO hangs...disable AGPS

A: yes i can make it...as long as i have time, it will be out when downloads provide me with the info that people want more of it and i have time to make/test it...
Q: Can you make a build based on COM2/3/4/5/Z?
A: yes, i can...but ill be the judge of when and how ill make it...cooking takes a lot of time and whatever i release is always about quality...patience please...
Q: What is the diference between COM2/COM4/WMD/XYZ branch?
A: the most noticeble is until COM2 its old style (WM61) above COM3 its new style (WM65X with bottom buttons)...the rest, have no idea...
Q: Whats the difference between 3D and non3D version?
A: they differ in the drivers...as name says...one has opengl drivers and less 16Mb of ram because of them...the other has not and 16Mb more than 3D version of same rom...the rest is the same (programs/tweaks/customization)...and no you cant install P3D Drivers on non3D rom cause it will break compatibility...
Q: Is there any diference in speed between 3D and non3D version?
A: simple answer...yes, thanks to gfxboost that is included. but at a cost of 16Mb of RAM for DDI drivers...so that means programs (some) can be crashing because of lack of...opera/youtube are 2 of them...but i also wouldn't call non3D slow at least wm6.1 wise...you'll be the judge...

A: You have the wrong radio version installed...change it! radio 1.59.xx.xx and above should work...
Q: Can i run manila 2.1/2.5/2.6 on my polaris?
A: Yes you could if someone made the port (someone like me)...but...you will never see it running simply because there isnt enough RAM/ROM to handle it, there are no fully working opengl drivers...and like so...our polaris simply doesn't meet the minimum sys specs to be able to fully run manila 3D...even if someone wanted to make the port...id just say: just buy a HD2! its cheap compared with the all work you'll have ahead...

Sorry for that but i have only one Polaris for testing (with your rom inside now)so i don't remember exactly the ammount of ram.
And something else...Why the progressive bar (in abum video) always missing in all the latest roms?

must be some wm6.5 compatability issue...i didn't change anything there...

Everything is working fine for me!
1 thing. the sound is different then other roms. when i play music it is a bit low.. not low volume but sounds very low, no high tones.
ive installed wow srs hd and now its fine.
good job! will keep this for a while!

so it works without any radio upgrade.... if i not mistaken, it is the shipped radio version....

i also tested it and it was (and still is) working...

I have downloaded TranMinhMan's latest. But it looks like there is no need to flash that and test after the tests done as above by you people. Thanks. Now using pcarvalho's 6.5 with radio 1.58.32.33. (quick GPS not working)

Well, in the morning I've tested TranMinhMan's ROM, now pcarvalho's ROM. I've been using Win 6.5 since the first ROM I found and I must say, I'm delight with the progress so far. In TranminhMan, with 3.13 drivers from the total of 84 MB, I think free was around 40-45.
@pcharvalho: great great job. I'm using Radio 1.65.xx.xx and everything works fine. Indeed, video is working on Album. The battery drain ain't big, so I guess you enabled some power savings in registry. I installed a battery metter and works great.
Some suggestions for the next ROM:
1. Include KeyLock.cab for those who want to enable hardware buttons when device is lock
2. Include DeviceLock1.2.cab. It creates a shortcut to Lock function and this shortcut can be mapped to a hardware button.
3. WM6.5 Titanium Weather tab would be a nice addition.
4. SyncroTime is always needed
5. PIM Backup is always needed
6. Toggle Wifi On/Off: AKToogleWiFi.cab (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2868203&postcount=1) It creates a shortcut in start menu to enable/disable WiFi with one click. By the way, what is the default wifi protocol enabled b ? g ?

Hello, this is maybe a fix for quick gps.
Install an task manager and terminate then "QuickGPS.exe". After this step maybe you can start it. This was a Problem from previouse Roms from TranMinhMan, but after this step it wokrs for me,
Baybe this trick works on this Rom too. I'll test it later.

One of the first ROMs ever made for the HTC LEO.
Tried flashing it on a retail HD2, but didn't work.. stopped at 8% (It's SPL or Radio).
I tried re-packing it (Splash + OS) but havn't tried it yet.
Can someone get this ROM to work on retail HD2's?
Oooh btw, the .1 is WM6.5.3 and the .2 (what came shipped with the prototype had WM6.5's) So HTC did test WM 6.5.3, but why did they cancel it??

I'm doing a skool report on the technology of it.
This way you can see how it started, and how it ended.
Options they included in begining, and options they removed at the end etc etc.
For example... Twitter tab wasn't included in the begining. At end we can use twitter now.

Yeah the prototypes had 320mb ram, and they added the taskmanager just in case

and they were fast as well

This mean that the OEMdrivers is possible to used in order to cook WM6.5.3 roms without bold font issue?

23014 is still with startmenu on top like com2 (startmenu in softkeybar started with 23018 afaik).
they are slowly adjusting everything inside the leo-roms towards 6.5.X-compatibility (for example manila 6.5.X position is fixed now).
6.5.X is meant for capacitive wm devices like the hd2....
i bet htc is releasing a 6.5.X rom in the near future (i believe 6.5.5 is dedicated to hd2 and similar high-end-phones).

I have got a copy of sense 2.5.2014 wwe working with 6.5.5 OS. This version clears up issues with Sense not loading and the screen not loading correctly.
I can see a lot of people have been having some difficulty with this so I have provided a Downlaod link:

I have tested on my HD2 and the only issue I can see is Interent Explorer buttons are not quite right, if anybody can resolve this that would be great. I am working on 2016 now to see if I can sort as well. If I can I will upload it as well.!!
This has been tested on an HD2 with 1.66 WWE stock from and sense 23569.
Delete all existing manila and start icon folders in your EXT folder and simply replace with the ones in the zip file.

not working for me, although it boots up fine. if i scroll to settings only the data and wireless settings bit works and on home screen menu doesn't work, using 2.13 rom and 23569

Did you remove the start Icon loader folder? I had similar problems untill I removed this. I can confirm that all settings is working on the rom!

I'm affraid that I only was able to build for an english ROM WWE. I will try and make up an instruction set for building other languages.

Has anybody else got it working, I have it fully working on my HD2 I would be keen to hear responses.

Can anyone upload it to hotfile? I wanna test it but cant download the file!!!
I cant download it through megaupload, it stops at the middle everytime.

i extracted the download and deleted out my manila files and start icon and then copied over the new ones. i dont know something not right

When I get a chance I will upload my copy of kitchen for people as well. I just have not had a lot of time this week. I will try and get it sorted this evening for you.

Tmous 2.13 dumped rom, 23569 os, my menu buttons and the tabs when i scroll to settings just do nothing i i cant get into settings via the shortcut either

I have tested it using a HTC HD2 stock rom version 1.66, that might be were your issue is. Try that and see how you get on. I am still playing around with the build. If I can get one I am completly happy with, I will upload my kitchen folder with both OS and sense for people to use.
